To the people who know Mary’s identity, if Liam and Jane were considered a cute couple then to them, Mary and Ian are then considered the dangerous couple.
Calling Rita a fool is infact a favour. She has been going against soone she has never done any research about her and not to ntion the fact that none of her plans have been working to date.
Many will argue that Ian and Mary and of course their baby are living a high profile life for a major general and soone who secretly has many enemies but the truth is that none of them ever wanted or rather wants a low profile life.
For Mary, her life was low profile before the coming of Ian’s presence into her life and of course before she found out her real family.
For Ian, he knows, low profile or high profile, any enemy will always try to find their way into his life and he knows very well together with his wife, they were more capable of handling anyone, any enemy perfectly on their own.
Well.. For now that is the case but it won’t be once they both finally get to know who Mary’s father is and the power he holds.
Rita finally cald down before she headed back to the venue only to find the two hugging each other and everyone whole heartedly clapping for them.
She gritted her teeth before slipping towards the drinking session. Tonight it’s either Ian gets drugged and sleep with her or she drugs Mary’s drink and make the girl lose her baby or as she calls it, ’that thing’ in which, she wanted to do both.
She was so blinded by rage and jealousy that she did not realize everything was just a trap laid for her, waiting for her to just tread on it and well, she did more than just stepping on the trap and everything was according to Mary’s expectation.
She knew such a narrow minded woman like her was obviously going to settle for such lousy plans. Mary wasn’t a stupid girl and when she decided to reveal her pregnancy, she was already expecting such from her love rival.. Scratch that because the girl was not in any position to beco her rival.
Mary’s incident had successfully captured all the attention from both Jane and Rose but the news quickly spread amongst the big 5 and when Liam and Jordan realized what the actual heck was happening, the two brothers were more than shocked but their spouses just winked at them as if it was a casual thing.
They both had to remain calm or rather their grandparents had to remain calm since the whole family knew and felt that this was Mary’s mont since she was the one who chose to reveal her pregnancy and furthermore, they knew that with the earlier incident, she seed to be up-to no good tonight.
Rita sat in the drinking area waiting for one of the waiters to do as she instructed and when she saw this particular waiter finally walking out with the drinks perfectly balanced, she took her wine glass and started walking towards Mary but her steps ca to a halt when her voice filled the venue.
"Well, If my mother in law thinks I am done with her gifts then she is so wrong. Wait, you should all not get wrong especially my other birthday girls here. You see, I also have your presents but allow to steal the spotlight and make my mamma happy, reminding her she got the best daughter-in-law."
Mary started her speech making the woman almost cry once again while the guest’s curiousity rose to another level and for mother Lu and Rebecca, they were more than willing to give their sister the spotlight because the shocking gifts they received from both Jane and Rose was already enough to make this the best birthday ever.
"My darling mother here is a lover of arts and you people don’t know how hard it is to keep so things away a secret from her, let alone my own husband! "
Everyone was now confused including the two people ntioned but regardless, they were going to let her finish her statent and of course, present her ultimate gift tonight.
The mont she finished her words, a group of people walked towards the centre where they were and they were carrying canvas ,paint alongside paint brushes.
Everyone was confused before Rita’s mother shouted.
"You! Are you trying to sha my daughter Huh? Trying to copy my daughter’s gift idea? Sha on you!"
Everyone else looked at the woman as if she was mad because no one was copying anything and let’s not forget the fact that Rita’s painting was fake!
Rita wanted to stop her mom from embarrassing her further when she saw all the judgntal looks directed towards her.
Mother Mo just rolled her eyes while Mary gently laughed, her laughter making Rita frown wondering what exactly this girl was upto.
"Oh co on Mrs Ling! Why would I copy your daughter’s idea to get the Mo matriarch a fake painting on her birthday? Co on, we are talking about The powerful Mo Matriarch!"
The woman was not ready to lose this argunt as she spat back.
"Why then are you talking about giving madam a customized piece of art?"
Mary smirked before replying in a respectful mocking tone.
"Silly, that’s because you are talking to soone who erged four years ago in the art world. My bad my bad.. Sorry ma’am forgive my manners..."
"My na is Mary Mo..ooops! I slipped.. My bad once again, pleasure to et you ma’am, my na is X."
