It was safe to say that I was now sore. Reagan had ended up taking three more tis in the middle of the night. Where I had gotten the energy to keep up with him was a mystery, I didn't think I had it in , but I was welcoming Reagan with the sa fervor he used on my body. The way he kept touching and then staring at like I was the most exquisite thing he had ever laid eyes on. He did tell that, before he drew back into his embrace.
I woke up the next morning to the sound of horses neighing right outside the window. Fluttering my eyelash, I turned and stretched but a startled gasp escaped when I noticed that Reagan was sitting on the chair on the room watching with a smile on his face.
"How long have you been like that?" I asked with a worried expression on my face.
Reagan smirked at , "Not long." He said standing up from the chair, I noticed he was already dressed in new clothing. He then walked towards , leaning down to press a quick to my lips.
The flush that rose to my cheeks was impossible to ignore. I smiled up shyly at Reagan who chuckled at before he nudged his nose with mine.
"You are so adorable." Reagan grinned down at . Heaving out a sigh he straightened, "While I would love for us to do absolutely nothing but for us to stay here. I'm afraid duty calls." He said to .
I glanced up at him in confusion, "What do you an?"
"They've co to get us already, so we have to leave." Reagan said and I felt sad at the thought.
These past few days I've learnt more about Reagan than I did when we spent months together. Now we were going back and I didn't know what was going to happen. We were going to be back to facing reality, bound by our duties. I really do not want to leave!
"Hey," Reagan said grabbing by my cheek gently, "We are going to be okay, we will be okay? Nothing is going to change, we will just have to take it slow." Reagan assured almost as if he could sense my thoughts.
I gave him a wary smile in response, nodding my head I tried to get up but then noticed just how sore I was between my legs. "Well, you didn't exactly take it slow with throughout the night."
"Alright, don't get cheeky with now." Reagan playfully shoved .
I laughed as I stood up from the bed and I rushed to the bathroom to get ready. When I got out, I found out Reagan had left the room. I then proceed to hurriedly changed into my dress then I went outside only to et Edwina and her family standing right outside.
Edwina stood with her children, a nervous expression on her face as she tried so hard not to look in the eye. Reagan on the other hand was talking with Henry right outside the door and the way Henry looked pale as a ghost told they found out that we weren't just travelers. It didn't help that there were a lot of guards that were stationed right outside the huge carriage which was enough proof that we were of noble status.
"Edwina?" I called with uncertainty.
Edwina seed startled and approached . She bowed her head, then lifted her skirts to courtesy at , then bowed again. She didn't seem sure of what to do, so she did both. "Your...your highness?"
I snorted a laugh at her behavior which I found cute. Edwina looked up at , no doubt wondering what was so funny. "Please Edwina, you really do not need to do any of this to . No formalities needed please."
"I am so sorry we didn't recognize you your highness." Edwina rambled off an apology, "I can't believe that I had even asked you to make a dress, like can you believe it? I had asked you to make a dress, the princess! Oh my gods!"
This ti around I couldn't stop the laughter that ca out of . Edwina stared at like I was crazy and in a way, maybe I was. Crazy with happiness that is! I thought to myself with a smile as Reagan stared at with raised brows.
Smiling I shook my head at him, he then turned back to looking at Henry. I turned to look back at Edwin and then I grabbed her and pulled her in for a hug. I could tell it was an action she didn't expect because she was tensed.
"Thank you." I whispered, my words thick with emotion, "Thank you for everything Edwina, your kindness will never be forgotten." I whispered before I placed a kiss on her cheek.
I stepped away from Edwina whose eyes were now filled with unshed tears but I turned to look at the children who watching my exchange with their mom with a shy look on their face. I smiled down at them before pulling them in for a hug.
"Now you all be good and take care of your mother, okay?"
"Okay your highness!" The children responded and I grinned at them.
Giving them one last wave, I approached Reagan. Giving him Henry a nod, I climbed inside the carriage. Shortly after Reagan entered and then we set off, back to the manor.
Throughout the entire ride, I couldn't help but feel more nervous as we approached the manor. Reagan seed to notice and in order to calm down, he grabbed a hold of my hand. I turned to offer him a small smile when he brought my hand to his lips and placed a gentle kiss on it.
"Can I ask you a question?" I asked Reagan who simply nodded his head at , "Why are you treating this way? After all this ti?"
A low deep chuckle rumbled out of him and he simply looked over, the twinkle in his eye telling he found this all highly entertaining. "Always with the why's huh?"
"Can you please just answer?" I asked Reagan who laughed at .
The sound was beautiful and it made feel warm and tingly that I had made him laugh. Staring down at with a smile on his face, Reagan nodded his head before he answered. "Well, let's just say I was wrong about you, we all were!"
