DAHLIA POV

"Looks like we are finally getting that bonding ti princess!" Nikolai said as he t in the courtyard where I was busy watching the servants fix up the carriage for my journey.

"Yeah well don’t get too excited, it wasn’t my idea." I countered, smiling when Nikolai pouted at in response.

I was right though, if I had my way, all I would have done was grab my horse and run out of here to my father’s castle. I do not even care about his threats, I was furious with him. After everything I had done, he had to betray like that and what about the lie?

The assassin’s face flashed in my mind again and no matter how many tis I willed myself to believe what I had seen that night couldn’t be true, I know it was. I even had nightmares about it, it doesn’t matter how many tis I close my eyes and willed the nightmare away, I still always saw that sa face, those startling green eyes that looked like mine. Which is exactly why I have to go to my father’s place and confirm things for myself because it can’t be true.

Call delusional or tell I’m being in denial, but I wasn’t willing to believe anything till I have at least seen things for myself.

When Nikolai had confird that everything was okay, he turned to look at and a single nod was all the confirmation I needed. I hiked myself up as I made my way to the carriage and just as I was about to get in, soone suddenly called my na.

I whirled around to see Lady Ivana rushing towards , a servant following closely behind her with a trunk in her hand. I arched a brow up in question as she got closer towards and then she motioned to the servant to go give my servant her trunk.

"I’m sorry, what’s happening?" I asked feeling confused about what I had just seen.

Lady Ivana turned to look at before she shook her head. "Oh pardon , I seem to have forgotten in all my excitent but I’m coming with." She announced and I gaped at her still feeling confused.

I only heard that she was coming with but to where? "I’m sorry to where? Do you...do you perhaps need us to drop you off sowhere or..."

"Oh don’t be silly," Lady Ivana scoffed in disbelief as she waved a fan in front of , "I’m coming with you to the castle!" She announced with a big bright smile on her face as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

The smile froze on my face as I blinked, my brain struggling to co in terms with the information. What does she an she’s coming with ? "I’m sorry Lady Ivana, I don’t quite follow."

"Then I guess, I will have no problem explaining everything to you in the carriage." Lady Ivana said in an enthusiastic tone before she turned to walk off.

I reached out to grab a hold of her wrist just before she could walk any further. Fixing her with a stern look, I pulled her close to . "Listen very closely Ivana, I don’t know what it is you are playing with here but you’ve had your fun!"

"That’s a sha, because to it seems to the fun is just only beginning." Lady Ivana said with a smirk and my hold on her wrist tightened.

"Well whatever gas you are playing will just have to wait. The castle isn’t just a place anyone goes to and I am not going on a vacation, so why don’t you do a favor and quit being so fucking annoying?" I asked her.

Ivana cocked her head at , a smirk on her face as she stared at . "Now, now, Lady Dahlia, that isn’t any way to treat the won who just saved your life."

"Oh I am grateful for that, believe I am and you will be compensated well for it." I said moving closely towards her. "But as of right now, I do not have ti for any of your mind gas. You are not going to be going anywhere, you will stay here and wait behind. When I co back, we will discuss over so refreshnts." I said, my voice holding a bit of an edge to it.

Lady Ivana’s lips only pulled into a smile that felt chilling. The woman just continued to baffle day by day. First she showed up out of nowhere and tells everything is a ga while declaring she is on the winning side and now all of a sudden she is playing best buddies with ? Even going as far as to say she was going to be coming with to the castle.

Another day I would have found her a little bit amusing but now, she was nothing more than an annoyance to . Ti was wasting and I need to get to the castle to have a talk with my father. Satisfied that she finally got the answer, I turned to leave but Ivana suddenly held my hand tighter, using it to pull backwards.

"Actually, I think I will like to have that refreshnt right about now!"

"Listen Ivana, I do not have ti for this!" I hissed at her but my threat only seed more amusing to Ivana as her hand curled even tighter against my wrist.

"Oh is that so?" She asked with a smile, "Well then I guess you will just have to make ti for then, black knight!" She added the last part in a whisper.

Imdiately she spoke those words, I could have sworn that everything seed to have stopped, safe for my heart that was beating erratically in my chest. My gaze rose to Ivana, wanting to be sure that I had heard wrong but when Ivana grinned, practically showing all her teeth, I knew right then that she was nothing but a dangerous woman!
