Some of the geographical features of the world like mountains and hills were sinking into the ground and disappearing pletely, while the more fortunate ones were only being broken apart into several pieces.
Right before Loki’s eyes, the world was changing into something pletely different. The Central Domain, as he knew it to be, was slowly disappearing. The forests that were as large as the eye could see were being broken and buried under layers of crust that had risen from beneath the surface,
The entire 10 billion square kilometers or so that used to be the Central Domain was moving away from the Northern Domain towards the south.
The large piece of land was moving together with the world barrier between the Central Domain and the Northern Domain. But the Northern Domain also needed a world barrier, so the world barrier split into two so that both domains could have a world barrier.
In the space between the two halves of the split world barrier, a new continent was appearing. In the darkness of emptiness between the two world barriers, the appearance of this continent was a whale surfacing for air.
The new continent was small, weak, and dead. But it was tenacious and determined not to give up. As it forced its way up to the surface, the Central Domain was pushed aside, widening the gap between the two world barriers and allowing more of the new land to appear.
Over time, the new continent became bigger and bigger. It was a difficult battle because the two Domains on both sides wanted to crush it.
The pressure from the Northern Domain and the Central Domain pressing it caused its surface to warp in many places. In some places, the ground sank, while in some places, the ground rose.
The land in the areas that sank moved to concentrate and raise the surface of some other places and form mountains. This caused the new continent to change from being flat and featureless to possessing mountains, hills, and valleys ripe for water to occupy and form water bodies.
These changes in the ground were also mirrored by changes in the sky. To be specific, the changes were also happening in the first heaven, second heaven, and even in the sky of the third dimension.
The first heaven and the second heaven were getting bigger with new land appearing. The sky of the third heaven didn’t have land, but this didn’t stop it from expanding too.
In the divine constellation, the area where the sun of the Blessed Heaven World was standing was also changing. Every star surrounding the sun was pushed aside to make room for more stars.
In the past, the sun was at the center of the divine constellation. The 14 large stars representing the 14 pathways of the Blessed Heaven World surrounded the sun in a circle. Then the small stars of the divine positions surrounded their respective large stars.
But now, there were only 9 large stars representing the Supreme Metacs of the 9 pathways of the Blessed Heaven World. And the 9 large stars were moving farther away from the sun, creating space for a bunch of new stars.
The stars that suddenly appeared were both large and small. The large stars were 9 in number. Each of these nine new large stars also had a number of small stars revolving around them.
The nine new large stars took up the space that the previous nine left for them. So now, there were 18 large stars revolving around the sun.
Seeing this, Loko quickly used the Power Identification Ability to inspect the new large stars. His eyes went around the circle, moving from the beginning and back to the beginning.
As the identity of these new large stars appeared in his mind, he thought, ’Fire, Water, Water, Wind, Wood, Poison, Light, Darkness, and Lightning. Aren’t these old beast pathways? Didn’t everyone say that they had disappeared pletely?’
’It seems they didn’t disappear pletely as everyone thought. By the looks of things, they were only suppressed. They and the previous Central Domain were suppressed by the one and only.’
By now, he knew why all of these new changes were happening. So when he looked at the white chains in his hand, his gaze held more meaning and expectation.
The white chain was what was left behind after the white monkey died. He had taken it earlier just before the heaven and the earth began to shake.
Ever since he took the white chains, it had been struggling in his grasp. It was like a snake, and his hand was the claw of an eagle grabbing the snake. The snake was struggling to escape from the claw, but the claw gripped it tightly.
Even earlier, when he didn’t know the full impact of what Black Chains had done, he wasn’t willing to let the white chains escape. He had only been distracted by the changes happening in the world.
But now that he had seen so much, his curiosity had been satiated, and his craving for the white chain had returned, stronger than ever before. So he quickly absorbed the white chain into his body for fear of losing it.
While he was assimilating the Enslavement Supreme Metac, the world was still changing around him. In fact, the impact of the changes was only increasing in intensity, or waning in the slightest.
The changes in the sky of the three dimensions and in the ground seemed to resonate with each other. The impact they were creating bounced off of each other, amplifying their effects.
Already, the appearance of a new Central Domain was causing the previous five domains to shake, experience earthquakes, and be riddled with landslides. But with the appearance of nine more pathways, the whole world began to change at a deeper level.
The changes in the geographic features were physical changes taking place on the surface of the world. These changes could be corrected, intensified, or mimicked by someone sufficiently powerful.
