Chapter 15: Types Of tacs.
"Common tacs are the tacs that most of you, if not all of you, will ever co into contact with in your whole life. Common tacs can only reach rank 5. It is what most cultivators use. There can be two of the sa kind of a Common tac."
He paused at this point and pointed his finger at Craig before saying, "Take your Innate tac for example. There are millions of Sword Heart tacs in the world. In fact, half of the people of the Sword Way sect start out with the Sword Heart tac as their Core tac. So what you have isn’t special by any ans."
Then his voice beca solemn as he said, "But Divine tacs are special. Divine tacs are so special that there can only be one of them in the world at a ti. If soone possesses a Divine tac, another person cannot possess the sa kind of Divine tac. That is the law of the world."
At this point, his voice beca full of longing and awe as he said, "Another thing that makes Divine tacs special is that they are the only kinds of tacs that can reach rank 6. They can even go up to rank 9."
"Since Divine tacs are needed to advance to rank 6, the uniqueness and scarcity of Divine tacs are why there are so few Divine beings in the world."
His attention shifted to Craig again. But this ti, he said even worse things to him.
He said, "So, young master Slav was right yesterday when he said becoming a rank 6 being is not a matter of talent. You also need luck and connections. Frankly, you barely have the talent. You don’t have the luck, the connections, or a special Innate tac. So it is truly unlikely that you will ever reach rank 6."
Then he asked Craig with an amused expression on his face, "So what will you do, young man? Will you give up now?"
Craig answered without hesitation, "Never."
His reply made Muni laugh. His laughter was full of energy and boisterous.
Then he said to Craig, "That is the spirit. That is the way of cultivation. Never giving up."
He shifted his focus again and looked at everyone as he said, "If you don’t try, you will never succeed. So you must try, and you must try your hardest if you want to succeed. If you don’t have sothing, then what you should do is to take it."
His voice was full of anger and determination as he said this. It made them realize that Muni wasn’t just parroting so ideals to them. They were able to understand that he was saying what he truly believed in.
Loki said to himself, "If what he said about his initial potential being 45 is true, then it is no wonder he feels this way."
Then he changed the topic to sothing he just realized. He said, "That aside. I think the uniqueness of Divine tacs is why Slav couldn’t possess the Rewind tac after I took it and why Craig still had the Sword Heart tac after I took his from the previous tiline."
"But why did Slav awaken a different Divine tac? Why didn’t he awaken a Common tac? Is he that talented?"
Then he smacked his lips and thought to himself, "I guess I will find out soon. If Slav is truly that talented, then I don’t mind helping him realize the full extent of his talent."
As he thought of this, Slav felt a faint threat coming from him. So Slav turned to him and narrowed his eyes at him.
Loki ignored him and chose to focus on the lesson. At this point, Muni had cald down from his agitated state.
He coughed and said, "Let’s return to the class. Let’s talk about Core tacs and Branch tacs."
Muni started by saying, "Core tacs are the foundation of the pathway to power. Each Core tac point out to a supre dao. That is, each Core tac is the first tac one must fuse with and have as their life-bound tac in order to borrow so of the power of the Supre Dao."
"Core tacs are why we are stronger than ancient cultivators. Branch tac can substitute for spells, but Core tac can raise our state of existence and make us closer to the Dao."
"Branch tac are tacs that are used in combination with Core tac to produce power. For example, the people of the Sword Way sect use Phantom Blade tac, a tac that creates a temporary blade out of energy, and the Sword Edge tac, a tac that makes any blade beco sharper, together with the Sword Heart tac."
"The job of the Sword Heart tac is to elevate the existence of the cultivator and help them advance while also making it possible for the power of many Branch tacs to be combined into one. So both the Core tacs and the Branch tacs are useful."
After saying this, he went to the blackboard and began drawing a diagram to illustrate what he was saying.
He drew a large circle and wrote the Sword Heart tac in this circle. Then he drew many other small circles around the large circle. He wrote words like Phantom Sword, Sword Edge, Flying Sword, and Breaking Sword in the small circles. Finally, he drew a line from each of the small circles to the large circle at the center.
After he was done drawing, he turned to them and said, "So a Core tac is like a spider, while the Branch tacs are nodes in the spider web that the spider wove. The stronger the Core tac, the stronger the spider will be, and the more Branch tacs there are, the larger the web can be."
"In this analogy, you are also the spider. This is because the Core tac will fuse with you. So Core tacs can’t be changed easily. You have to be careful with the Core tac you pick, and you can only have one Core tac."
