Chapter 111

"Kek! Just imagine. The famous Warmongress bleeding from a single attack from ." Blake chuckled loudly as the kids stared ahead at the leader of the group of scamrs along with the four others beside him.

And surprisingly, they all recognized the four standing with Blake. They were the sa ones they had encountered the day before, led by the man in the hat.

"You know," Lyra said as she rose to her feet, glaring at Tom. "I bla you for this."

"Bla ? What did I do?" Tom asked with a large frown on his face.

"Why didn’t you back up when I went on the offensive?!" Lyra chided in anger, her voice sharp.

"Is it my fault you decided to act irrationally? I was being cautious since I didn’t know what his Veil was." Tom replied with a scoff, his tone calm but defensive.

"Why be cautious when you have with you? Isn’t that dumb?" Lyra asked, her eyes blazing.

"And yet, with you, here we are." Tom clapped back, his voice edged with sarcasm while everyone else stood watching the duo.

Jace even facepald himself at the sight.

"Enough, both of you!" Blake shouted from above, his voice echoing through the room. He could already see Lyra opening her mouth, ready to clap back again. "Are we here to fight or bicker? Pick one."

"Who are you?" Zen asked as he stepped forward after keeping to the back all this ti.

The mont he moved, the hat man’s eyes widened in horror, and he quickly leaned toward Blake.

"He’s the one with the Veil that can nullify any other Veil around him." The hat man whispered urgently, but Blake simply waved his hand dismissively in the air.

"What do you an by who I am?" Blake asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I an, why are you doing all this? There must be a valid reason, right? Out of all the clans, why pick the SilverFall Clan to defa?" Zen asked again. These questions had been gnawing at him ever since they arrived, and he wanted answers.

’There has to be a reason he decided to form a group that extorts innocent people. I need to hear it before I act.’

"Reason, huh?" Blake asked with a small smile before he jumped down from the edge of the second floor, landing smoothly on the ground.

Funny enough, no sound followed his landing. He touched down as if he weighed nothing, as if the ground itself didn’t dare make a noise in his presence.

’Huh? How is it possible to not emit any sound at all? What is his Veil? And how did he send Tom and Lyra flying down so easily just now?’ Jace thought as his eyes remained fixed on Blake, who hadn’t moved an inch since landing.

"I was a poor, innocent lad a few years back." Blake began, his arms crossed tightly as he glared at the group in front of him. His voice carried a bitter edge, the tone of soone recounting scars that never healed.

"No strength, no powers, nothing. Just trying to survive in a world that wanted to kill with countless dungeons and portal breaks.

I ca face to face with a beast and would have lost my life if it wasn’t for a Reaver from the SilverFall Clan who happened to co along and save ."

’Huh? Why does his story sound so similar to mine? Wait... could he be a transmigrator too?’ Zen thought with furrowed brows, his suspicion growing with every word.

"Fascinated by his strength, I decided that I wanted to join the SilverFall Clan and live up to my savior. I tried enlisting in the assessnt, and you know what happened?" Blake asked, his brows knitted as if the mory burned him even now.

"What happened?" Aria asked with a raised brow, her voice steady.

"I got into the assessnt, but I failed to kill a single beast. Why? Because I was too damn weak, and so I couldn’t even beco an F-ranked Reaver, let alone a respectable one. Hence, I was turned back and told I wasn’t welco in the clan." Blake spat in anger, his fists clenching at his side.

"That ans you didn’t awaken then, huh?" Vynn muttered.

"That’s right. I awakened a year later, and then I realized sothing. I wasn’t the only one wronged by this world. There were countless others.

So, I decided to rally up newly awakened individuals and move from town to town, extorting people for their money under the guise of the SilverFall Clan. That way, I would make the sa clan that rejected bear the weight of my na."

"And now look at !" Blake said as he opened his hands wide, staring proudly at his small den.

"I managed to amass a lot of shards and a na big enough that Sir Tom and the so-called warmongress ca down together to find . How delightful." He chuckled loudly, his voice echoing with arrogance.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk! How pitiful, I must say. You would have managed to make the cut if you had taken the assessnt again as an awakened, you fool." Tom shouted in anger as he glared at Blake, his voice carrying the weight of authority.

"Why?" Blake raised an eyebrow, his grin unfading. "Why bother going back to the clan that turned away when I was weak? No thanks, I like my current life.

Though it’s a pity you beat up my n so badly." He sighed, casting a slow glance around at his unconscious followers who were being dragged away by the four n that had initially stood at his side.

Those four knew what was about to happen, and none of them wanted the others caught in the crossfire. Fear mixed with loyalty was etched across their faces, yet they obeyed without hesitation.

"Okay, that is over with. You all know my backstory, so can we get back to the part where I clobber the two most powerful people of a respectable clan and a bunch of kids?" Blake said as he dropped into a stance, his calves bulging as though power was surging through every fiber of his muscles. His aura was thick, like a predator ready to pounce.

"Aria, Vynn, Zen, kindly stay back." Tom said, his tone sharp as he raised his hand and stretched it backward, gripping the hilt of his greatsword. With a hiss of steel, he unsheathed it from his back and pointed it forward, the blade gleaming with nace.

"Jace," Lyra called firmly as she also raised her longsword, pointing it toward Blake. "You are with us. Let’s see how strong you are as a B-ranked Reaver."

"3 versus 1? Not fair." Blake scoffed, though his stance remained unwavering. There was not a trace of fear in his eyes—only hunger for the fight.

’No! Sothing is wrong sowhere. I swear I have a bad feeling about all this. Why does he seem so confident about taking on the three of them without even a hint of fear?’ Zen thought as he clenched his fists, forcing himself to obey Tom’s order to stand back. The unease gnawed at him like a shadow creeping closer.

"Yo! You all want to redeem yourselves for the humiliation you faced?" Blake asked without turning around, his grin stretching wider. The four n nodded imdiately. "Great! Go get those kids and show them what you’ve got."

"Let’s go!" Lyra ordered as she bolted forward at an astonishing speed, her longsword gleaming brightly as she held it behind her, prepared for the strike. The ground cracked beneath her feet as she launched herself, her aura sharp and deadly.

"Fla Veil!" Tom called out, and in an instant, a bright orange fla erupted around his greatsword, the weapon blazing like a sun in his grip. He too shot forward at a crazy velocity, a streak of fire cutting through the air.

At the sa ti, the four n roared and dashed toward Zen, Vynn, and Aria, their faces twisted with desperation and rage, determined to prove their worth and redeem their earlier sha. The room shook with tension, every heartbeat hamring louder as the two battles ignited at once.
