Chapter 86: So You Are Eleanor and Elvis

By 2 pm the next day, Elvis and Eleanor arrived at the Rosse’s residence for the much talked about birthday party.

They stepped out of the car and gazed up at the beautifully decorated villa.

Assorted colours of balloons lined up the arched walls at the entrance to the Villa.

At the entrance of the villa, a man in a butler’s uniform of immaculate well ironed white shirt and black suit was handing out badges to the guests on their arrival. Inscribed on the badges were the words, "Best wishes, Sophia."

Eleanor and Elvis were given one badge each by the man as he smiled warmly at them.

As they entered the Villa, their eyes were filled with undisguised admiration at the large marble musical fountain splashing water high above the sky which would later descend in a blast of captivating rainbow colours.

The grounds of the Villa were also decorated with a mixture of pink and white balloons.

A Waiter led them to the garden where the birthday was already in full swing. Famous cartoon characters were displayed on either side of the lawn leading to the garden, giving one a feel of Disney world.

As they approached the garden, the sound of gaily laughter from excited children mingled with music filled the entire garden.

At the far end of the garden on what looked like a mini stage of about two feet high, stood the birthday girl in a pink sequined princess dress.

She was surrounded by her friends and they were all dressed beautifully with big smiles on their faces as they danced together.

As soon as Sophia sighted Eleanor and Elvis, she wriggled her way from the group of peiple surrounding her and hurried down to et them.

"You ca?" she asked, pleasantly surprised.

"I told you we would co, and here we are," Eleanor bragged.

"I’m so glad you did." Sophia could hardly contain her happiness. Not only did Eleanor co but she also kept to her words by bringing her brother along.

"Happy birthday Sophia," Elvis wished her as he handed his gift to her.

"Thank you, Elvis." She held the gift close to her heart, her radiant smile, a vivid display of her happiness.

Her nanny, who was behind her and ca forward to collect the gift from her so that she could add it to other gifts, t a fierce refusal. "I can hold it myself."

Eleanor smiled in understanding and also handed hers over.

"You are so beautiful today, Sophia and your dress is equally lovely." Eleanor praised sincerely.

"You think so?" Sophia’s rosy cheeks were so cute as she suppressed a shy smile.

"Of course, you are beautiful. Happy birthday Sophia," Eleanor said while giving her a peck on either side of her cheeks.

"Thank you, Eleanor." Sophia was really thrilled, she never expected that Eleanor, the most beautiful girl in the kindergartner would complint her.

"I want you to et my mother, Eleanor." While she spoke, her eyes never left Elvis who hadn’t spoken again after wishing her. He was standing with his hands in his pocket, looking disinterested.

It was obvious Soohia wanted Elvis to co with her but didn’t know how to ask him directly.

"Please lead the way," Elvis decided to tone down a bit on his attitude since it was her special day.

"Who do we have here? Are these your friends Sophia?" A lovely lady in an elegant fuscial pink gown, t them along the way and asked cheerfully."

"Yes mom. This is my best friend Eleanor from Kindergarten and her brother, Elvis. They are here for the party." She proudly introduced her friends to her mother.

"So you are Eleanor and Elvis". She had an intriguing smile on her face. "I’ve heard so much about you." To be precise, she has heard more of how outstanding and handso Elvis was from her daughter who have never stopped singing their praises since the day she t them in her class.

"Nice to et you, Auntie," Eleanor said and curtsied adorably.

"Nice to et you, Mrs Rosse," Elvis gave a respectful bow.

At his facial features, a slight frown flickered across Candace Rosse’s face but it was quickly masked with a smile.

"Thanks for coming to the party. Hope you are enjoying yourselves?" She asked

"Yes we are, Auntie." Eleanor responded excitedly. Sophia’s party is so wonderful, Aunty and we love it."

With the smile still etched on her face, Candace Rosse asked casually, "Did you co here with your parents? I would like to say hi to them."

"No, Mummy had to work so we ca with our nanny." Eleanor sensed nothing in her behavior and answered innocently.

However, Elvis had noticed the slight change in her expression when he greeted her. Although it was fleeting, it didn’t escape his discerning eyes.

"That’s Ok, I will leave you kids to enjoy yourselves. Once again, you are welco." She cast one last look at Elvis before taking her leave.

"Yes mummy." Sophia answered on their behalf and took them to get so ice cream from the ice cream stand.

Not too far from where they were standing, a tall dark haired gentleman, impeccably dressed in a maroon shirt and blazers, was standing with a sullen expression on his face.

If not for the fact that he couldn’t be absent on his niece’s special day, he would have loved to be anywhere today except his parent’s house.

Beside him stood a tall gorgeous woman who was wearing a royal blue V-neck dress with very low neckline that revealed most of her cleavage.

"Steffan darling, why don’t you get us sothing to eat? I am getting hungry." Benita’s heavily painted lips drew together in a pout as she requested in a coquettish voice.

Steffan winced at the sound of his na on her lips, the "darling" she added was even more repulsive coming from her.

"I’m not hungry. If you want to eat you can go and get it yourself."
