Chapter 327: There’s A Third Person

She gently moved her hands away from Steffan’s head but her hand was suddenly grabbed by a strong hand forcing it to remain in place.

Everyone’s attention turned to the hand that was placed over Dolly’s and while they looked on in confusion, a hoarse voice broke through the silence with just one word:

"Stay,"

This single word seed to immobilize everyone including Dolly.

One could almost hear a pin drop at the silence that ensued.

With the current developnt, I guess no one was in doubt whose face spasd with a victorious smile monts later.

The first to react was Sarah who stord out of the room banging the door after her in anger, followed by her husband who didn’t want her to fall off the stairs by missing a step due to anger.

However, Stanley chose to stay back with his wife to see what his brother was up to.

At least soone in the family have to keep watch over Steffan.

Who knows whether this woman has so special hypnotic ability that they are not aware of. He wouldn’t want her to take advantage of him.

anwhile at Central Police Station, Randy stared at the annoying face of the man that was seated across from him.

"I know you must be feeling very proud that your assertions were right, after all."

"You don’t need to be so jealous of my n, commissioner," Killian said with a floating smile.

"I tried to spare you the trouble but you insisted on doubting . But I’m also happy that from the result, Benita can also rest at ease and stop thinking of suicide all day."

"Yeah, you’re right. But what actually happened. Why did they have to pull off their trousers? Did you bother to find out?" Randy asked.

"Definitely, they were not going for a swim," Killian mocked. From the footage after they the girl fainted, the guy wore back his trouser. When he had asked him why he had to remove his belt and trouser, he had said that they just wanted ti scare the girl, but didn’t know that she was going to faint from fright.

Randy got angry seeing the silly smile on Killians face. "What’s so funny? He asked.

"Nothing. It’s just that my n are simply too impressive," he said and finally dissolved into laughter.

"They even scared a commissioner like you that you ran off to the hospital on a whim."

"I wasn’t scared by them. I was only concerned about the poor girl who they almost drove to her early grave," he snorted.

"Like I said before, don’t be overco by sentint. She is still a suspect and can’t be let go just because she has been released on bail on health grounds," Killian warned.

"I don’t need you to remind

of my job," Randy threw back.

Turning serious, Killian asked,

"So how is the investigation going from your own end?"

"We’re still waiting for the return of the lady that Benita left her house from to the wedding. As you’re aware she left the country the sa day the incident occurred," Randy said.

Killian tapped on the table rhythmically. "Making her a major suspect."

"Yeah, but from what Benita said, she had planned the journey months ahead. As a matter of fact they were ant to travel together, until Benita got to know about the wedding between your sister and Dr Rosse."

"And she happens to also be the person that inford Benita about the wedding," Killian pointed out.

"Don’t you think she might have made all the arrangents based on the date of the wedding? After all my mother and Steffan’s mother made quite a lot of noise about the wedding so I’m sure she must have known the particular date to take off."

With a slight frown, he tapped his chin a few tis, his eyes fixed on the ceiling then said,

"But what baffles

is that from her records, she has a boyfriend that she is serious with so what was her purpose for trying to get my sister out of the way?"

"Get your sister out of the way? What are you trying to say?"

"Rember the real target was not Steffan."

Randy nodded. "He only stepped in to protect your sister, I get that."

"Who would want to kill a woman on her wedding day if not the jealous lover of the man my sister was getting married to? So this leaves us with three possibilities."

"What possibilities," Randy asked as he stared at the intriguing man before him.

"Possibility 1, The young lady doesn’t love her acclaid boyfriend and only has eye for Steffan"

"Mm-hmm? I’m listening," Randy said

"Two, she naturally hates my sister for sothing else and wanted to get rid of her but didn’t know how until a scapegoat ca along in the person of a senseless lover like Benita," Killian continued.

"Okay, what’s the final possibility?"

"The final possibility is sothing that I just ca up with on my way here."

"And that is?" Randy urged impatiently..

"None of the first two possibilities are right and that the lady might also be innocent," declared Killian.

Randy stared at Killian silently for a couple of seconds before slamming his hands on the table, startling Killian in the process.

"Killian Hols!" He roared impatiently. "Do you treat

as a joke?"

Killian was taken aback. "What are you suddenly so riled up about?" He asked in confusion.

"Did you just waste my ti now just because you wanted to mock

that I’ve been on the wrong trail which you deliberately led

on?"

"I never ant to mock you neither did I lead you in the wrong trail," Killian tried to explain.

"You’ve made that quite obvious enough." Randy said through gritted teeth.

To think that he had been sitting here listening to him when he was clearly out to mock him because his n worked on the information he had given him.

Afterall, Killian had been the one doing all the interrogations and his own n have not been able to speak with Benita for long because of the condition Benita was when they returned her to the police station.

"How?" Killian asked, still confused why the commissioner would think he was mocking him all along.

"Benita asked her friend to get her a gun. Went to her friends house to get the gun on the day of your sister’s wedding. Left there for the wedding with the supposedly empty gun. Got to the wedding venue and shot the groom with an "empty gun" and later denied that she didn’t load the gun with any bullet after being interrogated by your n. Which led us to the person that helped her purchase the gun."

"Now you suddenly co up with a story that the second suspect is innocent after saying that Benita might be innocent in the first place. So what in Pete’s na are you driving at?"

"Very simple," Killian said nonchalantly before dropping his next bullet.

"There is a third person or a secret lover whom we are not aware of that might have tampered with the empty gun?"
