Chapter 252: I Want You To Die

She doubted if she would not need a plastic surgery after the whole saga. But the most important thing now was to stay alive. She dared not pull the stunt she just did now if she intends to co out of this damn place.

Initially she had thought that with Linda’s weak intellectual constitution, she wouldn’t be able to co up with any worthwhile sche, but with the identity of the man before her, she had to play safe for now.

From the corner of her eyes she saw the triumphant smirk on Linda’s face. She could tell this was her first victory in six years.

She wasn’t far from the truth as the next minute, Linda sauntered over, her green eyes glinting the brightest as she took in Kathleen’s pitiful appearance.

Seeing Kathleen finally rendered speechless Linda let out a yelp of laughter. Her cruel laughter echoed through the desolate warehouse, a chilling sound that seed to reverberate endlessly.

"I’ve never been this happy and fulfilled in years. See how our "Almighty" Two timing B***h has been reduced to a re pumpkin.

"You need to see your vixen face in the mirror right now. I guess those presidents you seduced with your accursed face will puke with just a glance at your disfigured face."

From where she was still strapped in the chair against the wall, Kathleen clenched her fist in a tight grip.

"Laugh all you want now, I bet you will never have this opportunity again," she finally threw out.

"You can still talk? I guess what you got just now, was too soft a reminder of who you truly are... a useless trash that can only be used and discarded."

"Where is your so-called President Hudson?

Or your latest catch, President Jason? I guess they got tired of you and don’t even care whether you live or die. I bet they are too busy to know that you are missing."

’Shawn, yes, but Jason, no. I’m sure the driver must have given him the report when he didn’t find

at the airport. I’m sure he will co for ,’ Kathleen consoled herself.

’All I need to do now is delay whatever evil plan these people have till he can find .’

With that she decided to stall for more ti.

"What do you want from ?"

"Ha ha ha. Don’t tell

you want to end this too soon. I’m not done with you yet. As a matter of fact, I’ve not even started," Linda said.

"But I will be kind and answer your questions. That way, you will have sothing to look forward to."

"I WANT YOU TO DIE!" Linda drawled each word with such ferocity that unconsciously sent shivers down Kathleen’s entire body.

"But before then," she continued. "You will call whoever is in charge and order my mother’s release."

"Let

warn you, don’t think you can bargain with

because you are in no position to do so."

Kathleen could only listen quietly as Linda continued to rant and boast. This was exactly what she wanted.

As Shawn got closer with his team, he could faintly hear voices coming from the warehouse.

Peering through a small gap in the boards, Shawn’s gaze fell on a faint figure, straped to a chair.

"Kathleen!" he whispered urgently.

His heart constricted when he saw her bent head and her posture which looked so lonely and hopeless was heartrending.

He tried to find an entry point into the warehouse, assessing the surroundings for the best approach to reach her.

But the faint sound of footsteps forced him to quickly retreat into the shadows, at the sa ti he swiftly signaled his team to take cover, concealing themselves in the shadows, ready to intervene if need be.

As they waited, the tension in the air was palpable and Shawn’s hold on the pendant tightened inexplicably.

Each minute he had to wait seed like eternity. He couldn’t bring himself to imagine the pain she might have gone through for the number of hours she had spent there.

Eventually the footsteps faded into the distance and Shawn resud his search for an entry point.

As Shawn cautiously maneuvered through the dimly lit corridors of the warehouse, his team covered him from a distance.

Standing by the door to the room where Kathleen was held hostage, he heard muffled sounds like soone in distress. Without hesitation, he kicked the door open, swiftly entering the room.

Kathleen’s eyes widened in shock the mont she saw Shawn burst into the room.

"Shawn?" She exclaid in delight.

She had never been this excited to see Shawn since her return after their breakup.

Before he could reach her, a group of burly n erged from the shadows, ard and ready.

"Watch out!" she scread when she saw the gun aid at Shawn.

Shawn reacted with lightning speed, taking cover and returning fire, ensuring Kathleen remained shielded from the onslaught just as shots rang out and the sound reverberated through the empty space.

His tactical training kicked in, but the situation grew more intense as the assailants intensified their attack.

Despite his skill and precision, a sudden sharp pain seared through Shawn’s shoulder as a bullet grazed him, causing him to grimace but not relent in his efforts.

As Kathleen saw blood dripping from Shawn’s shoulder, she was alard. "Shawn you’re hit!"

Shawn paid no heed to Kathleen’s words but was rather focused on neutralizing the threat and ensuring her safety first.

His team also provided cover fire, trying to suppress the assailants.

Amidst the chaos, Shawn spotted an opportunity and maneuvered swiftly, taking down a couple of the assailants. With precise aim, he managed to eliminate the imdiate threat.

Ignoring the searing pain in his shoulders, Shawn rushed to Kathleen’s side, her safety was his priority for now and quickly untied the rope from her hands and legs.

Gritting his teeth from pain, his tone was ragged as he said. "We need to get you out of here."

"What about you?" Kathleen asked, her forehead creasing in worry.
