Chapter 174: Seeking Revenge For His Sister.

He spent most part of the morning reviewing the details of the project which had already been prepared before his father left Baltimore.

He was a seasoned businessman and saw the huge profit they stood to gain from the collaboration.

It was a project that if everything went well, would fetch them billions of dollars as profit alone.

If not for the sound warning his sister had given him this morning, he would have loved to be part of it personally.

She had warned him to either cancel the collaboration or make things difficult for Shawn.

It reminded him of the last ti when he had signed a multibillion dollar contract with the Masons Group instead of Hudson Corporations that would have given them better profits.

But again, his father’s words were still echoing in his ears.

Last night after he got ho, his father had called him and instructed him to follow up on their collaboration with Hudson corporations.

"How far have you gone with the collaboration, dad?" he had asked.

"I asked President Hudson to send the proposal but I left suddenly before he submitted it. From the agreent we had from our last discussion, it should be ready this week," his father had explained.

"That ans, you’ve not signed any contract with them yet?"

"No." But after a pause Director Wyatt had asked, "Why do I detect a note of relief in your voice?"

Jason sighed. ’Is there anything one can hide from this old man?’

He had no choice but to confess to what transpired between him and Kathleen. "Sister had warned

against any form of collaboration with Hudson Corporations."

Several thousands of miles away in Luxembourg, Director Wyatt was rendered speechless.

If he wasn’t aware that his son had soone he loved and was serious about and also witnessed how Janice pined for Shawn every day but refused to admit, he would have doubted whether it was still a pure sibling’s affection that existed between them.

"Don’t tell

you are willing to indulge your sister again in this. If you know you can’t handle her, report back to base and let

co over."

"But my sister wants her revenge. What am I a big brother for if I can’t help her settle this little matter?"

"Rember this is the ti to prove to others that she had people behind her and if she wants to trample the whole city under her feet, I don’t mind fulfilling her wish."

After listening to his son rant about his devotion to his sister, Director Wyatt’s voice sounded uncompromisingly on the phone.

"Jason, listen to . I’m the father to both of you and I believe I can still control you no matter how powerful you have beco. Now listen to

and follow my orders."

The orders he had ended up giving was such that Jason could not ignore. Now he was in a tight corner, trapped between fulfilling his duty towards his sister and obeying his father.

Now his hands were tied and he was confused about what to do.

He couldn’t afford to offend any of them and felt a headache thinking about the whole thing.

On the other hand, his sister was seriously working on her plans for the full acquisition of the Beazell group.

She had just finished the last Skype eting with one of the highest shareholders when Ariel, her assistant, ca to inform her that it was ti for the eting with the executives.

In the expansive boardroom of Wyatt Corporations, all the executives and shareholders were already seated and waiting for the two key players of the day.

The doors were opened and everyone stood at attention as the two siblings entered one after the other.

Jason, who was in front, sighted two empty seats at the head of the table which had been reserved for him and his sister and deliberately settled himself down on the chair beside the one he usually takes at the head of the table leaving the other one for his sister.

Seeing the aning behind her brother’s action, Kathleen shot him a glance, which he responded to with a faint smile and a nod only the both of them understood.

Everyone was stunned at the siblings’ action and could only look on in confusion.

Kathleen had no choice but to take the remaining empty seat.

She sat poised at the head of the table, flanked by Jason and the executives of the company on both sides.

Her confident deanor and aura of professionalism commanded attention, leaving a lasting impression on everyone.

With a calm and assured voice, she spoke.

"Good day everyone. I want to first and foremost appreciate everyone for the commitnt, dedication and support you have all put in to make the Baltimore branch of Wyatt Corporations what it is today.

But as we all know, one of the biggest enemies of success is comfort and complacency. When you feel that you have finally arrived, then decline and failure begins to set in.

It is based on this understanding that Wyatt Corporations have never remained on the sa level.

Over the years we have extended our tentacles into practically every business venture and have grown to be a formidable enterprise in practically every continent of the world and a household na here in Baltimore.

In line with our custom, when an opening presented itself through the saga with Beazell Group, we decided to seize it.

As you all received in the mo, the reason for today’s eting was carefully communicated to everyone.

She glanced around and after receiving their unanimous acknowledgnt, the projector was switched on to present her compelling proposal to acquire the bankrupted Beazell Group.

There was a hushed silence as the board mbers waited in anticipation for her presentation.

"As you’re aware, the Beazell Group has faced a tumultuous period due to public loss of trust following the scandal involving Mrs. Beazell," Kathleen began, her voice carrying a tone of determined resolve.
