"I an, who would ever deny a business proposal with Kian!"

He laughed at the last part, lightly and Madison rested her hand on the table atop his, shocking both of them. She gave him a little squeeze.

"I m glad that you did it!"

Their eyes interlocked and Madison gave her most enchanting smile to John. He almost got lost in it but then the small beep in his phone distracted their mont.

"I m sorry... it's just my sister."

John said, checking out the text on his phone.

"It's fine!"

Madison mumbled, looking away from him. She had a second thought in her mind at that mont if she really wanted to leave or not?

The plan was to leave the mont, it was confird that John had accepted the proposal but now, she did not want to.

She wanted to wait, spend the night with him and know a little more about the man seated before her...it was wrong but she did not know why she did not want to leave anymore.

She felt like an unknown pull towards this man like she felt never before...not before she t Lana.

She was attracted to John. It was a fact, a new reality for her. Even though it was nothing new because she had felt like that with many n but with John...it ran beyond the pull of attraction.

For the first eight years after a devastating break-up with Lana, she felt the need, the inner willingness to know soone...this man.

So instead of leaving as it was planned to after letting him know that she was into females but then she decided against it.

It was not like she was receiving him here...she was into n too just more inclined towards females but if the choice was given to hook up with John and Cara Delvigne, she would go for John.

So she settled on her seat comfortably as it was going to be a long evening. John kept his phone aside on the table and looked at Madison.

"Listen...I know this might sound awkward but my sister is here..."

Madison raised her eyebrows, not getting what he wanted to say.

"...she ca with here and was about to leave but the driver just reported so anomaly with the engine so she needs to wait for a while...she was in the washroom...will you mind if she joined us here for a mont or two??"

John asked hesitantly. He did not want any interruption at this mont but well problems never left his tail so...

He did not want to offend Madison. He really liked her and wanted this date to work out but then...he could not just let his little sister waiting outside.

"It's a...fine...call her in. It's only for a few minutes right?"

Madison implored, not liking the idea of having his family mber here at this mont when all she wanted was just them and no one else.

"Yeah...yes...I m really sorry."

John apologized, observing the hint of uncomfortness in Madison's facial features.

He should have just let his sister ride in with another car and not with him. He dropped a text to her for her to co inside.

"It's fine, John."

Madi comforted him, smiling. He knew that this date had lost its charm for a mont now but he vowed to return the fla back when his sister would leave right away.

"She also wanted to et you...I guess her wish ca true."

He joked and in there ca a woman. The door to their personal booth opened and got closed in a thud sound.

Madi tilted her head a little to see the sister. The tik to noise of the heel rang in the hall as the woman walked forward, to their table.

As she followed her gaze from the bottom to the top of the woman's figure, Madi's breathe got stuck inside her throat.

"Madison Maria, et my sister, Lana Delta Kravinshky."

John introduced his sister to Madison, who kept seated on her seat, without moving as his sister stood by his side.

Lana chuckled at her brother's formal introduction to his date and reverted her gaze from him to look at the woman, still seated.

And her heart dropped to the bottom of her stomach, looking at the woman she had loved eight years ago.

Madison could not believe her eyes. She could not even process it in her mind as she got frozen in her spot.

"Is sothing wrong??"

John inquired when he saw the two won just standing ideal, static on their position, not saying a word.

Lana did not understand what her brother was doing with Madison. She was a lesbian then why was she...

And then it clicked in her mind...everything made sense to her all of a sudden.

People change but Madison Maria could not even after almost a decade later. She was still duped in her work, her carrier even to the extent of deceiving a man on a date.

"Do you both know each other??"

John questioned, once again after a long silence. He started to feel as if sothing was wrong and he had no idea what was about to co.

"Oh! Yes, we do brother!"

Lana was the first to open her mouth and Madison stood up imdiately, knowing exactly what Lana was going to say next.

"Rember the woman I told you about responsible for breaking my heart??"

John eyed his sister without any hint of what she was speaking. Madison pleaded with her eyes to Lana.

It was not how she wanted to let John know about her truth. But it was a losing battle as Lana hated her.

"She is the one...Madison Maria."

"What nonsense are you uttering, Delta?"

John intervened, not understanding anything anymore. Lana had a cruel expression on her face and Madison's state was in blue.

"This is not so nonsense, brother...I do not even know what she is doing here with you when she is into won...or she lied about that too??"
