"There’s more," Sophia confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. "There are things I’ve done... things I should have told you a long ti ago."

Angel’s breath hitched. A cold shiver ran down her spine as she processed Sophia’s words, suspicion creeping into her mind.

Her hands curled into fists. "What are you trying to say, Sophia?" she demanded, her voice laced with a mix of fear and anger.

A heavy silence filled the air, thick with tension. And then—Sophia exhaled shakily, as if gathering the courage to reveal a truth that could shatter everything.

Angel’s voice wavered with disbelief as she spoke, her heart pounding in her chest.

On the other side of the wall, Sophia felt the weight of her own guilt pressing down on her like an unbearable burden.

A single tear slipped down her cheek, warm and heavy with emotion.

She lifted a trembling hand to wipe it away, but before she could, another followed. A quiet sniffle escaped her lips as she struggled to hold herself together, but the truth she had been hiding for so long was about to shatter everything.

"Everything that happened in your life... it was all calculated," Sophia began, her voice barely above a whisper, yet each word carried a force that made Angel’s blood run cold.

Angel clenched her jaw, her entire body tensing as rage simred beneath her skin. Her hands curled into fists, nails digging into her palms as she fought the overwhelming urge to explode.

Every fiber of her being burned with the need for answers, but she forced herself into silence, letting Sophia’s confession unfold despite the turmoil brewing inside her.

"Angel," Sophia continued, her tone filled with remorse. "Arthur never told you this, but I’ve always been a part of his life—even before I t you."

Angel’s breath hitched, her brows furrowing in confusion. The weight of Sophia’s words sent a chill down her spine.

"Why didn’t you tell that?" she asked softly, though the pain in her voice was unmistakable.

Sophia swallowed hard, her hands gripping the fabric of her sleeves as if that could sohow hold her together.

"I wanted to, Angel. I swear on my life, I wanted to tell you. From the mont I t you, I knew who Arthur was. But I was forced to keep my mouth shut."

Her voice cracked, and for a mont, she hesitated before continuing.

"And now... now that you’re carrying Tryson’s child, the guilt is unbearable. I’ve deceived you for so long, and it kills to admit that instead of being the friend who should have protected you—I was the one spying on you."

Sophia’s words spilled out in a desperate confession, her voice breaking under the weight of her emotions.

Angel’s world seed to spin. The revelation struck her like a violent storm, leaving her breathless.

She felt as if the ground beneath her had crumbled away, leaving her free-falling into an abyss of betrayal.

"Who asked you to spy on ?" she finally managed to ask, her voice trembling with suppressed fury. "Was it Arthur?"

Her words cut through the air like a blade, demanding the truth, even though she wasn’t sure she was ready to hear it.

"Yes, Angel," Sophia admitted, her voice carrying a weight that made the air feel heavy.

Angel’s heart pounded in her chest, her mind racing to make sense of it all. Confusion clouded her thoughts.

Why? Why would anyone spy on her?

"I know you’re wondering why Arthur would ask to do sothing like this—"

But before Sophia could finish, Angel cut her off, her voice sharp with disbelief. "No. I’m more confused about why you did it. Was it because he wanted in the company or sothing?"

Sophia inhaled shakily, her fingers trembling as she clenched the fabric of her clothes.

"Truthfully, this has nothing to do with the company," she admitted. Then, as if she couldn’t hold it in any longer, the truth ca spilling out. "Angel... I am Arthur’s wife."

The mont those words left her lips, silence fell like a heavy curtain between them.

Angel stood frozen on the other side of the room, her breath hitching. It felt like a surge of static had crackled through the air, distorting reality itself.

For a second, she thought she had misheard—thought maybe her mind was playing cruel tricks on her.

"What did you just say?" Angel’s voice was barely above a whisper, her disbelief palpable.

Her pulse roared in her ears, drowning out everything else. It felt as if soone had doused her in ice water, the cold shock sinking deep into her bones.

"You can’t be serious," she muttered, shaking her head as if trying to shake away the absurdity of it all.

Nothing made sense. The words, the situation—it was all ridiculous. A sick, twisted joke.

But Sophia didn’t waver. "Yes, Angel. Believe ."

She took a deep breath, her voice turning bitter with pain. "Think about it. Why do you think Arthur never got as close to you as he should have? And don’t tell it was because of your pregnancy. He was playing you. Using you. And the worst part? I stood by and watched as his wife, letting him betray over and over, like I ant nothing to him."

The weight of her words pressed down like a storm, suffocating the room in tension.

Angel’s mind spiraled. Her hands shot up to her temples, gripping them tightly as if trying to stop her head from spinning. Her chest tightened, and before she knew it, an overwheld cry escaped her lips.

"Sophia, please, could you just stop?!" Angel yelled, her voice sharp with frustration.

Her outburst made Sophia jolt on the other side of the wall, her heart pounding in response. She had expected the truth to hurt, but there was no other way—Angel needed to hear it.

"Angel, Arthur knew all along who you were," Sophia pressed on, desperation creeping into her tone. "You’re Wang Liam’s daughter—the forr president of this country. He’s known from the very beginning. And though I don’t understand exactly what he’s after, he always told you had sothing he wanted. Sothing he had been searching for all his life."

She paused, inhaling shakily before continuing. "Don’t you see it? Why do you think I’m here? Arthur knew I would never accept so of the things he planned to do, so he locked away—kept from interfering. But by God’s grace, I managed to get to you. And before it’s too late, you need to know the truth. Only God knows what Arthur is truly up to."

Sophia’s voice cracked as she blurted out every word, her emotions raw and unfiltered. She didn’t care how jumbled her thoughts sounded—Angel needed to hear this.

Angel sat there, her mind spinning, her hands trembling at her sides. And then, after a mont of silence, she uttered sothing that made Sophia freeze.

"Sophia... you can’t be telling the truth. Because I’m married to Arthur," Angel said firmly, her voice filled with disbelief.

Sophia’s breath hitched. "What?" she burst out, eyes widening in pure shock.
