Chapter 86: DRUNK DECISIONS

Ace was stirred from sleep by the chirp of a bird, which was followed closely by a whooshing sound. One eye fluttered open, and then the other.

His body felt stiff, and one side of his head throbbed.

Trying to stretch his body, he rolled to the other side of the bed. He suddenly bumped into a surface, and a crease instantly marred his forehead.

He quickly whipped his head to the side, and his eyes widened when he saw the outline of a woman’s back..

"What the fuck?!" He blurted in a loud voice.

"Baby, what’s that?" Reign cooed as she stretched her luxurious body, and turned to him.

"Reign?" His brow snapped. "What the fuck are you doing here?"

"I ca to relax." She smiled.

"In my lake house?"

"Uhmmm, yes. You once told

I could co here whenever I felt like. I chose last night. Maybe that’s why you ca too. You knew I’d be here, didn’t you?" She bit her lips. "Naughty boy," she said, poking his nose with a finger.

He tossed her finger to the side, and moved back. "Reign, I’m not joking with you. Why are you here?"

"Hey, don’t be an to . Not after last night," she pouted.

"You’ve lost your mind. You’re crazy! What happened last night? Nothing did," he said a little too confidently. When she didn’t stop smiling, his eyes widened. "Nothing did, right?"

His head was looking down, when it caught the littered clothes on the floor. "Oh shit," he cursed breathlessly.

"What did you do, Reign?"

"Oh please," she rolled her eyes. "It’s nothing we haven’t done before. Luckily, last night was even more passionate because of how long it has been since we did it."

"I did not sleep with you, Reign," he said, not knowing if he was trying to convince himself or her.

"Stop acting like a kid. We did it, and it was great. Don’t you rember?" She feigned offense.

That was the problem, he thought as he strained his head.

He couldn’t rember. The last ti he had been so easily drunk was when he was just a teen.

It was just half a bottle of whiskey. Except it was spiked, it shouldn’t have had him so drunk he couldn’t rember cheating.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!" He cursed out loud.

Whilst Fay was probably sick to her stomach, he had been fooling around with Reign. Worst off, he couldn’t rember a thing.

He shut his eyes tightly, hoping it would co to him.

"What are you doing? Please don’t tell

you’re making sleeping with

such a big deal? Why? Because of that clown you call a wife?"

He seethed. The last thing he could rember was buying the bottle of whiskey.

It was totally blank after that. The realization of what he had done was starting to creep in.

"I need to get out of here," he said, feeling ashad.

"Ace?! You absolutely can’t leave

like this."

"Watch ." He jumped out of bed, and Reign bit her lips as his naked body flaunted about..

She still had never t a finer man. Clothed, and unclothed.

His tight ass could bounce a quarter. She held her breath, hoping he’d turn so she could see the tool that had pleasured her non-stop, even in her dreams, while they were still dating.

Unfortunately, her wish did not co true. He dragged his trousers up his waist, and picked up his shirt.

With his hands on the buttons, he turned. Although his groin area was now covered, she could fully appreciate his abs.

That wicked v-line that led to his hardness called on to her.

Like a zombie, she rose from the bed, and went to him.

He was too busy buttoning his shirt to notice her approaching. He only realized she was within him when he felt a hand grab his crotch.

"I want you again, Ace."

Without skipping a beat, he pushed her to the bed, and grabbed his shoes.

"This is the last ti you co to my lake house. Your invite has been rescinded. I hope we don’t see each other again," He warned, storming towards the door.

"And who are you to determine that? I’m ovulating, Ace. I could very much be carrying your child already."

He was already at the door when her words hit, and stopped him from taking another step.

Slowly, he turned around. "What did you say to ?" He questioned in a low, icy voice.

She flinched a little, and moved back. "You heard ," she stuttered. "I could be carrying your baby."

"Don’t you dare repeat that to my ears! Whatever bastard you may be carrying could never be my child. Stay away from , Reign!" He warned in a stone cold voice.

"But you slept with ! You have to bear the conseque–" She jumped when the door closed behind her. A smile ford in her face, as she grabbed his tie from under the sheets and sniffed it.

"You’re going to be mine," she whispered into the air.

Ace’s chest puffed as he made his way out of the house.

"What have you done Ace!" He scread in his head.

Fay. All he could think of was Fay. Not because he regretted whatever he did with Reign. He couldn’t even rember it. It was that irrelevant to him.

But because he had done it when Fay was possibly in pain.

This was the second ti. First was when she was in the hospital.

And every single ti, her pain was sothing caused by his dreaded family.

Last ti was his Aunt. This ti it was his uncle.

They all hurt Fay, and instead of protecting her, he was burying his balls in Reign.

"My God!" He dragged between his teeth.

"Sir Ace?" Mark, one of the gate guys at the lake house approached him. "Good morning sir."

"When did Reign co into the house? And why was she let in?"

The visibly scared man took a step back. "S-ir, last night."

"Why was she let in?!" He barked.

"I— I wasn’t at the gate."

"Who was? You know what? I don’t give a fuck. This is the last ti she cos into my house! The next ti it happens, I will fire everyone on duty. Give

my keys!"

He quickly dug into his pocket, his fingers trembling as he searched for the keys.

Dragging it out, he handed it to Ace who imdiately walked past him.

He went straight to his car, and started it. The gates opened up for him, and he drove off.

His eyes fell on the driver’s seat. Picking it up, he began to dial Leighton.

The first call rang out without her answering.

"Please pick up," he muttered, and tried again.

There was still no answer, and he began to grow even more restless. Taking a deep breath, he tried to calm his nervous heart.

He tried once more, and it had almost rang out before soone answered.

"Leighton!" His eyes bulged as he desperately called out her na.

"No, Alexander. Can I help you?"?

Ace’s heart instantly sank. He sure recognized that English accent. But why was he answering Leighton’s phone?

Fay.

Fay was within distance of the doctor who was obviously in love with her. Panic grew in him. He had to have found her together with Leighton. Fay was with him, and he was losing his mind.

"It’s Ace Atticus. I was to speak to my wife."

"Oh," he said.

Oh? Just oh? What does oh even an? He thought, his head ready to explode.

"Well, she’s still sleeping right now."

"Wake her up. I need to speak with her. At least to know she’s fine."

"You should have thought of that when you let her out of your sight. Do you know how we found your wife? With her head to the ground, bruised beaten by the rain. She was losing consciousness. On the freaking highway. Soone could have easily hurt her. A crazy driver could have lost control and ran over her!"

The more he spoke, the more it felt like a dagger was being twisted in Ace’s heart.

He painted a pretty vivid picture. He has seen Fay bury her head once. It seed that was her go to move whenever she was sad, and afraid.

"I—" he couldn’t find the words to defend himself.

"Leighton will call you when Fay’s awake. And only if she wants to talk to you."

He ended the call, and Ace tossed the phone to the side.

He knew he was wrong. He knew he should have done everything in his power to protect her. He should have been the one to find her first.

He would atone for his sins when the ti ca, but for now, he had to see Fay.

Taking a swift turn, he switched lanes to the direction of the hospital.

If he couldn’t get to Fay through her friends, the chief better be ready to give him an address.
