The lights turned red and she stopped, it seed like there was a cue on the road, must be because of the amusent park getting open today. Her eyes spotted a clean SUV. She spotted a red-haired boy inside. Which was Hiro, but she didn’t know who he was then, he was busy playing gas on his iPad.
She eyed the expensive car, the boy inside glowing in richness and the comfortable life he lived, she didn’t need to know him before she knew all this, she grew up in a ghetto so she knew what riches were by the glimpse of it, and this boy was certainty living the good life and it made her wonder.
’How does it feel to live a good life?’ She spotted a man who looked like him, trying to get his attention, he seed like a dad. His eyes saddened.
’How does it feel to have a good father?’
The lights turned green and the cars finally moved, her eyes still on the expensive car as it drove off. ’I never knew the answer to those questions’ She crossed over. ’Whats a good life? What’s good food? What are good parents? What a good ho?’ her eyes leveled as she made a turn to the neighborhood. ’I may not be able to find those answers...’ a smile crossed her lips. ’But I have my mom... which makes this world less cruel, we will have all that... good food, good ho, good life and more’
She got to their neighborhood, there was still ti, this was the best ti to pack their things and get ready. She walked up the stairs and made a turn, the walls of the building had cracks, and the irons were rusted. She finally got to their house door, unlocking and stepping in, her lips let in a wide smile, she couldn’t wait to tell her mom about the money.
"Mo-" she paused as her eyes went wide in horror, seeing the scene before her. Her shocking eyes were on the scattered living room, the broken furniture that wasn’t even much, to begin with. But that wasn’t her main concern, for her eyes were on the very man who wasn’t supposed to be ho until midnight, she gulped, the re sound of it echoing in her head.
"There you are... you little punk" he turned to face her and she caught a glimpse of her mother just against the floor all beaten up and her face in bruises.
"R-r-run... S-Sumi, r-run!" she choked.
Sumi’s eyes shook vigorously, she was paralyzed unable to do anything.
"I ca ho and found bags packed" he began before chuckling. "What were you planning to do huh? Run away?" he laughed.
Sumi’s lips quivered, and with each footstep, he took towards her, her breath grew raspy. He grabs on her hair tightly and she yelped in pain, he slamd her back against the wall, her feet lifting off the ground, and they wagged at the loss of gravity.
"After all, I have done for you, huh? You think you can just leave?"
Sumi’s lips quivered, and his hand sank into her bag drawing the cash out. "All this money!" he yelled and flinging her to the ground and her head slamd hard against it.
"SUMI!" Aiya shouts in horror. "DON’T TOUCH HER YOU MONSTER!" she roared forcing her body up and dashing after him before he could do more to her child.
"Let go, woman!" Kazuko yelled as she aid her nails at him while screaming, her tantrums increasing by the second.
"M-m-mom" Sumi said weakly against the ground, her head hurt and her vision was blurry, but still, she forced her body to seat up while holding her head, and she faced the scene.
"I SAID LET GO!" Kazuko said slapping her before giving her a hard push, she stumbled backward unstable and her feet slipped, the back of her head finding the counter.
Sumi’s eyes were wide open without realizing it was a scream that ca off. "MOM!!!!!!"
Her numb body dropped to the ground, blood flowing from her head.
"Aiya!" Kazuko panicked, his eyes shocking, he didn’t plan for this to happen, he only wanted to give them a beating of warning... not kill his wife.
Sumi rushed to her mom’s body on the cold floor, she fell to her knees and broke into tears. "Mom! Mom! wake up, wake up!" she cried and sniffled. "Wake up mom, wake up" she shocks her body. "You said we’re gonna leave this place right, go sowhere better, just the both of us, just the... just the" she broke. "MOM!"
Kazuko ran his fingers in his hand in confusion, his features in a panic.
"Mom! Wake up"
"This is F*ucked up, this is so f*ucked up" he panics, he has to avoid the worse this will surely call for attention, the authorities might get him or his own gang for that matter.
