Four days passed in the blink of an eye.
The undead army had been eliminated but the victory was not without losses.
A third of the defending Blessed had been killed and half of the remaining forces had been injured severely. Fortunately, no further attacks followed after the undead army had been defeated. The news about the undead army quickly spread like wildfire and it reached other towns soon. These were the towns that had also been attacked by the undead.
Unable to defeat the forces of the undead armies, dozens of villages had been destroyed and razed to the ground. So towns had also suffered the sa fate. They were destroyed and their lands were turned into wastelands. Nobody could tell for sure what happened inside the wasteland that had been conquered by the undead armies. However, one thing was for sure; the dead in the wasteland ca back to life as Undead, of course.
When Zayn left his room for the first ti in four days, he got to know many important pieces of information. Most of this information was related to the undead armies, the fact that they ca out of nowhere, destroyed large parts of the most peaceful area in the human territory's central region, and that it looked like things were getting worse. All in all, it was bad news!
He was not interested in continuing fighting the undead since his Army of Spirits was more useful against living prey but it looked like he couldn't avoid them.
Fighting hundreds of ordinary Undeads was sothing Zayn was willing to do anyti as long as he could avoid fighting an Undead with a Soulring. It was a hassle to fight them, especially now that the large teardrop shield of the Herculean Human Spirit was broken.
Rubbing his abdon to calm his starving stomach, Zayn took a look around the town. The atmosphere was gloomy and nobody seed to smile or reveal a sign of happiness. It was as if there was nothing but death and despair all around him.
'I wouldn't be happy knowing that my surrounding area is flooded with undead either,' Zayn thought calmly. He understood how most townspeople must feel and acknowledged that their current situation was not very nice. It was only an advantage that the town seed to be on the outskirts of the undead's conquered territory.
He was pretty sure that the strongest forces of the undead were located sowhere in the central region of the land they had conquered. With that in mind, he released the Sparrow Spirits that soared high into the air before they flew in different directions.
Zayn believed the reports he heard about their proximity to the Undead territory to a certain extent but he wanted to make sure that they weren't suddenly bulldozed by a handful of powerful Undead.
While his Sparrow Spirits scouted the proximity, Zayn finished observing the situation in the town. He returned to his room where he finished supplying the last bits of refined soul particles to the Soulring that had been created almost a bit over 70%.
Zayn's progress was extrely fast and it was only his good fortune that he was given three als every day for the last four days. To make sure that his body could develop with his fast progress in the creation of his Soulring, Zayn was in dire need of nutrition. That was also why he was so happy that he was given big portions of food three tis a day.
The Herculean Human Spirit and the Agile Human Spirit didn't eat anything but that was not sothing the people from the Adventurer Hall knew. They didn't even know that the bandaged mbers of Zayn's group were actually Spirits, to begin with.
Of course, it was better if it would stay like that!
Zayn had yet to think about his next steps. He wanted to use the information provided by the Sparrow Spirits to assess the situation outside the town before making a decision. But then again, he was also in need of new equipnt.
With that in mind, he chose to leave his room once again, of course, only after he finished lunch. There were a few rchants in the town and Zayn visited them all.
He wanted to see which rchant was willing to pay the highest price for the Cores of the Undead he possessed. Cores of the Undead were not considered that rare anymore since there was a much higher supply now than before because of the big battle.
The high supply was restricted to this area and there were only a few Adventurers willing to sell the Cores of the Undead for the low prices the rchants offered. Even Zayn was a little bit annoyed at the 4 copper coins he was offered per Core of the Undead but he simply accepted the deal.
It was not as if he could do anything against the prices he was offered. Instead of complaining, he simply decided to make the best out of it. Thus, he used the special benefit he had obtained from the Adventurer Hall for participating in the town's defense to receive a discount from every rchant.
The rchants would be reimbursed by the Adventurer Alliance for the discounts they handed out to specially privileged mbers such as Zayn. Thus, it didn't really matter to the rchants that their goods were sold for a lower price than usual.
anwhile, Zayn purchased a new shield for the Herculean Human Spirit. This was more than necessary and a good investnt.
At the sa ti, he purchased another weapon, sothing he could use for himself as well. It was a light saber that was 20 centiters longer than the silver iron shortsword. Zayn wanted to wield a weapon with both hands which is why he bought the light saber since it was not possible for him to wield the silver iron shortsword with two hands, in the first place.
His entire fortune was used up for the purchases he made but that was more than fine. If he were in dire need of so financial support, he could just sell the damaged armor of the Skeleton he had killed earlier.
In the worst-case scenario, it was also possible to sell the Dao Saber. It was an exceptional weapon that could be sold for a small fortune.
Of course, Zayn didn't want to sell the Dao Saber since it could be wielded by the Herculean Human Spirit.
Zayn had a few plans that could only be executed with the help of his Spirits and by using the information he was provided once the Sparrow Spirits returned, he made his decision.
'Plan Suicide B34 is it?'
