The rescue team only consisted of nine mbers after six of them left. However, that didn't an they were weak.
Each Blessed was in possession of a Hero-ranked Blessing and six Soulrings, which ant that they were Soul Saints.
Soul Saints were on the sa level as Infernal Demons, which ant that the Blessed was at a disadvantage here. However, possessing Hero-ranked Blessings ant that the Soul Saints were much stronger than their rank suggested!
Thus, the fight that was about to unfold was not sothing Zayn could take lightly. He was only a Soul Adel with a bunch of Spirits that could be sacrificed to protect him.
"Don't worry. We will make sure to protect you!" Normie King said, while pulling the three dozen Normies – who had been out to rescue the kidnapped humans – by his side. The Normies knew that their actions were partially at fault for the current situation. Thus, they didn't say utter a single sound now that the situation was about to escalate.
They didn't like the turn of events, but there was not really sothing anyone could do about it.
"Demons consider all humans their enemies. Just make sure to pull the Infernal Demons to the Blessed and we'll be fine. Let's retreat while slaughtering a bunch of these bastards!" One of the Normies pointed out quietly. However, Zayn shook his head.
"Retreat? This is an opportunity to weaken both Blessed and Demons. Pulling the Infernal Demons over to the Blessed is fine and all, but retreating doesn't seem like a good plan. They will pursue the mont they realize that I want to retreat."
Zayn was right with the last point. Both Demons and Blessed would charge mindlessly at him the mont he stepped back. But that didn't an they should charge straight ahead like sacrificial lambs. That was mind-numbing stupid.
Zayn observed the entire battlefield for a few seconds. He noted the changes in the atmosphere and listened intently to the speaking Demons. He couldn't understand them, but it was possible to figure out what they wanted to do according to their body language.
"Looks like there is no need for to do anything. The Infernal Demons will attack the Soul Saints, aning the Blessed, Normie King, and so of you guys. Their smaller army will probably focus on ," He mumbled, and it was just a mont later that the Demons went into action.
Contrary, to Zayn's words, nine Infernal Demons focused on the separated group of Soul Saints – the group of Blessed – while one Infernal Demon led the remaining army of 1,000 Demon Adel and tens of thousands of Demon Overlords to Zayn and the Normies.
Even if one was half-blind and dense as a log, one could easily tell that the Infernal Demons considered the nine Soul Saints more dangerous than the Normies. This was given because the Blessed's presence was more intense due to the enhancent given by the Hero-ranked Blessing.
Under normal circumstances, the Hero-ranked Blessing was useful as it could be applied in various situations to receive an advantage over their opponent. However, right now, it was the worst possible nightmare. Nine out of ten Infernal Demons attacked the Blessed because they considered them more dangerous than Zayn, his Army of Spirits, and the three dozen Normies.
Of course, that didn't an Zayn and the others were neglected. Normie King chose to face the remaining Infernal Demon head-on, while the three dozen Normies chose to face the thousand Demon Adel on their own. The three dozen Normies had four Soul Saints amongst them, but they had sustained so injuries during the rescue mission of the kidnapped humans.
Their combat prowess was reduced, which made it impossible to determine whether they would be strong enough to fight 1,000 Demon Adel, or if they would die miserably.
Last but not least, Zayn and his Army of Spirits had to face tens of thousands of Demon Overlords.
He was already a Soul Adel with perfect mastery of the rcur Catanis Martial Arts technique, and Cy-Stride. The Double Saber Kalivan technique had long since reached perfection as well, and Zayn was finally strong enough to wield the Dragontale Twin Sabers to their full extent.
What did that an? He was strong enough to beat the shit out of Demon Adels even without his Army of Spirits, forget about a bunch of Demon Overlords!
'Glutton, devour as many corpses as you can and produce Soul Orbs as fast as you can.' Zayn willed Glutton, who nodded its head. After that, Zayn flicked his head to the Dark Wings.
'Aero. Pick the fasted Dark Wings and use them as couriers to supply our allies with as many Soul Orbs as they need to keep releasing their strongest techniques. We need everyone in their top form until this battle is over! Don't forget to supply Spirits with the Soul Orbs as well. Make sure that as many as possible can survive without being pulled back into the Soul Symbols!'
No matter what would happen, the Normies were at the biggest disadvantage right now. None of them possessed any special traits. They didn't have unique powers similar to the Blessed, and they could only rely on their techniques, which drained their stored energy rapidly. Supplying them with Soul Orbs was the least Zayn could do to make sure that the other Normies could keep fighting Demons, and possibly Blessed head-on.
Zayn exerted Cy-Stride without any hesitation. He vanished and reappeared in the midst of the Demon Overlord Army. The Dragontale Twin Sabers tightly grasped in his hands; Zayn began his slaughter.
He channeled soul particles through his entire body while continuing to exert Cy-Stride. Simultaneously, he used the Double Saber Kalivan technique. Zayn released one glacier slash after another, killing several Demon Overlords with each of them.
Without hesitation, Zayn exposed more of his secrets by extracting the deceased's Soul Essence and manifesting them with their own soul particles. After repetitively using Spirit Manifestation more than 8,000 tis in this body, Zayn could easily manifest Spirits without paying it too much attention.
Thus, while slaughtering several dozen Demon Overlords, Zayn manifested a dozen Demon Spirits with enough soul particles to create three complete Soulrings!
But that was not all. The soul particles Zayn had used up to release several glacier slashes was replenished and the pressure he released increased even if it was just a tiny bit.
His strength increased, and his Spirit Army expanded the more opponents he slaughtered!
