Long Tian remained enveloped in a demonic aura, triggering a profound transformation in his physique as muscles surged prominently.
The dark wings on his back expanded, taking on a reddish-black hue.
His countenance contorted with pain, giving the impression that his bones were fracturing simultaneously.
Unable to endure the sight any longer, Li Yue'er stretched out her arms, closing her eyes.
In the ensuing mont, a colossal tree materialized behind her – her Martial Spirit, the World Tree. Radiating green energy from both hands that gently cocooned Long Tian within its soothing embrace.
On the other side, Long Tian felt warmth and comfort, as if the pain had slowly vanished.
And suddenly, all the transformations disappeared, and he returned to his normal form, leaving him perplexed.
"What the hell was that?" he furrowed his brow.
Li Yue'er, on the other hand, breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly approached Long Tian.
"Are you okay?" she asked, a worried tone in her voice.
"Yes, I'm fine, thank you, Yue'er," Long Tian responded, a smile on his face.
Li Yue'er smiled back, "I'm relieved that you're okay. I was genuinely worried seeing that abnormal transformation of yours," she said.
"Well, I didn't expect it either. Fortunately, your power was useful in stopping it," Long Tian responded. "It seems I need to go to the Heavenly Demon Sect again, right, Uncle Ling?" he asked, looking at Ling Han.
However, he furrowed his brow when he saw Ling Han seemingly diverting his attention to sothing.
He followed Ling Han's gaze, which led to the outer part of the villa. Finding nothing unusual, he inquired, "Is there a problem, Uncle Ling?"
Hearing this, Ling Han stepped forward and looked towards the outer area of the villa with narrowed eyes.
"Young master, it seems we have an uninvited guest, and the person is familiar," he said.
Long Tian furrowed his brow, "Who?" he asked.
Ling Han didn't respond but imdiately leaped high, far beyond the villa area, landing on the trees.
His gaze was cold as he stared at the man in front of him, none other than Lin Fan.
On the other side, Lin Fan panicked, not expecting to be discovered.
"You can't escape, roach!" Ling Han said coldly.
Swiftly, he grabbed the collar of Lin Fan's shirt forcefully.
Lin Fan tried to free himself, but Ling Han's grip was too strong. He gritted his teeth, and in the next mont, both his eyes suddenly emitted an extrely bright golden color, turning the night into day.
"Akh!" Ling Han was exposed to the light, forcing him to step back a few steps and release Lin Fan's collar.
Even Long Tian and Li Yue'er, who were inside the villa, had to stop right in front of the gate, shielding their eyes.
With each passing second, finally, the light disappeared. Long Tian and Li Yue'er felt a bit blurry for a while but quickly returned to normal.
They imdiately approached Ling Han, who was seen rubbing his eyes.
Long Tian, unable to contain his curiosity, asked, "Uncle Ling, what happened?"
While rubbing his eyes, Ling Han responded, "There's soone familiar I saw spying on us, young master, the young man who opposed you at the Juntian auction."
Long Tian furrowed his brow, "Is that Lin Fan?" he asked.
"I don't know his na, but it must be him," Ling Han affird, still rubbing his eyes.
Hearing this, Long Tian's gaze beca colder, "He dares to spy on ? It seems he's bored with his life!" he said coldly.
Li Yue'er, on the other side, raised one of her eyebrows, "Did you say Lin Fan?" she asked.
"Yeah, why?" Long Tian asked back.
"I've heard that na before; he used to be my classmate, but he transferred," Li Yue'er responded.
Long Tian raised an eyebrow, then confird, "Well, that must be Lin Fan you're talking about since he transferred to my class."
Li Yue'er expressed mild surprise, "I didn't expect him to co here. Do you two have issues?" she inquired curiously.
"Yeah, but don't worry about it," Long Tian reassured.
Li Yue'er nodded at his response. Then, her eyes narrowed, and she questioned, "About that girl earlier, who is she? Isn't she too young for you, Long Tian?" her tone filled with curiosity.
"That girl? Don't worry about it. I absolutely didn't think about what you an; it's purely because she's useful. Let's consider it one of the many good things I've done, helping an orphan," Long Tian responded, a smile playing on his lips.
"Is that so? Then, I can rest easy. If you're thinking of making her your woman, I won't agree," Li Yue'er remarked, her tone gentle yet firm.
Upon hearing this, Long Tian genuinely smiled and caressed Li Yue'er's cheek. "Do you think I'm a predator? Right now, the number one person in my heart is only you, Yue'er," he declared.
Li Yue'er's cheeks flushed, and her heart raced, enveloped in an indescribable warmth and joy that resonated within her.
In response, Long Tian's smile deepened as he gently enfolded her in his arms. "I pledge to never leave you, Yue'er," he expressed with sincerity.
Li Yue'er, utterly taken aback by his heartfelt words, slowly reciprocated by embracing Long Tian. A serene smile ford on her face, mirroring the contentnt within.
The romantic scene unfolded as they held each other, their beauty and handsoness enhancing the mont with an extra layer of enchantnt.
"Cough!" The sound of Ling Han's cough disrupted their intimate mont, prompting Long Tian and Li Yue'er to release each other from the embrace.
"Sorry for interrupting your ti, but, what should I do, young master? Should I chase after Lin Fan?" Ling Han inquired.
"No need, I'll handle it myself," Long Tian asserted.
Ling Han nodded in acknowledgnt.
"And Uncle Ling, I think tomorrow we should visit the Heavenly Demon Sect," Long Tian suggested.
"Alright, but tomorrow you'll be taking the qualification test for the survival competition, correct?" Ling Han sought clarification.
"Don't worry about it; I've already arranged the timing," Long Tian responded with a confident smile, having secured the first position, ensuring a swift pass.
Ling Han, on the other hand, nodded. "Alright, do you want to join, young lady?" he asked, turning his gaze towards Li Yue'er.
Long Tian also looked at her, anticipating her response.
"I think it would be great; I'm also curious about the inside of a sect since I've never visited one before," Li Yue'er replied.
"Alright, then the three of us will go there tomorrow," Long Tian declared.
Both Ling Han and Li Yue'er nodded in agreent.
Without much further conversation, they proceeded straight back into the villa.
While Long Tian and Li Yue'er entered their respective rooms, Ling Han remained vigilant, preparing and keeping watch around the villa to ensure there were no spies.
And so, the night persisted without stars in the cloudy sky.
