"I finally found you-nya!" The Phantom scread while landing on top of lissa.
"!!!" The Arctic Queen skillfully grabbed her face and stopped her montum. "Phantom? What are you doing here?"
They were in the middle of a frozen field. The area was covered in thick snow, which didn’t seem to affect the Arctic Queen in the slightest.
"There is soone who wants to et you-nya!" The Phantom smiled excitedly.
"Pardon?" lissa felt sothing was weird. This was the first ti the Phantom had shown such an excited face. She had always been known as playful, but this excitent was different. It was as if she had just found a treasure. "Who? If it’s not important, I’m not going back to the council."
"There is no need to go back." A male voice echoed from the side.
"!!!" lissa widened her eyes, not noticing the male’s presence before it was too late. But the voice sounded so familiar.
When she turned her head, she never expected this person would appear in front of her. "Sir Noel?"
"This is the person who wants to et you-nya." The Phantom introduced him.
"I..." lissa froze for a mont before saying, "I apologize for being unable to assist you after returning to the beast kingdom."
"It doesn’t matter. Everything has been dealt with." Noel waved his hand. "I co to you for a different reason."
"Yes?" lissa looked down before asking, "May I know what kind of help you need from ? Oh, wait. I should have said this one thing first."
lissa lowered her head. "Congratulations on your advancent to the spirit king, Sir Noel. I’ve heard about it from the council."
"Thanks." Noel nodded.
"I will explain the matter to you. It has been approved by His Majesty as well." The Phantom puffed out her chest as she explained the entire story. Noel should have been the one giving the explanation so that the Arctic Queen could get the full picture, but the Phantom was simply too excited to calm down.
The Arctic Queen simply couldn’t believe what she had just heard. "Such a thing..."
"His Majesty has said that you should assist him no matter what. As for whether we will use it on the entire kingdom or not, it will be discussed in the council eting. I will be the test subject. I volunteer!" The Phantom had a smug smile on her face.
The Arctic Queen smiled wryly, overwheld by the Phantom’s excitent. She turned to Noel and said, "Since His Majesty has commanded , I am at your service, Sir Noel."
"Actually, you don’t have to do that. It might not take that long either, so doing it here should be fine. I might have to stay here or go sowhere else depending on what I can find." Noel waved his hand, telling her not to make a big deal of it.
"Nya? Are we going to stay in this cold place?" The Phantom’s face turned pale.
"All according to your arrangent." lissa nodded politely.
The Phantom bit her lip before straightening her back as if she weren’t affected by this decision. "It’s fine. I can do it. As long as I am the first one, it doesn’t matter-nya!"
"Shouldn’t I be the first one? This is my original goal." Noel shook his head helplessly.
"How can I let you be the first one-nya?! You are a spirit king. If anything happens to you, there is no one who can stop the demon king-nya! That’s why you have to test it on first."
It was obviously for a selfish reason, but lissa actually agreed with her. "I have to support her decision. If you still think it’s not enough to draw a conclusion, I’m willing to be the next subject. Your existence is extrely sensitive at this ti. If there is a slight mistake, it might lead to our loss in the upcoming war."
Noel let out a long sigh. "I guess I can’t really say no."
"Nya!" The Phantom nodded furiously.
"So, may I know the exact problem, Sir Noel? While I understand the circumstances from the Phantom, she hasn’t told the exact problem."
"Of course." Noel nodded. "I’m planning to reconstruct my body. My body right now can be said to be similar to you."
"Similat to us?" lissa was taken aback. Noel was definitely a human, so how could he be similar to them?
"Yes. Instead of animals, I am half-human, half-spirit."
"Spirit?!" They both gasped. This was the first ti they had known about this. The fact that Noel could beco a spirit king might be related to this.
"Because of this, my body is unable to wield the perfect form of my power. You can say that I haven’t made it mine yet.
"And in order to do that, I have to reconstruct my body into a completely new one. After this, I won’t be half-human, half-spirit anymore. Instead, I will identify myself as a new race.
"This body reconstruction might also help you if I succeed. In other words, it might not erase all the animal genes within yourself, but it will create an entirely new race rather than a half breed.
"I don’t know what kind of result it might have, which is why I want to consult you about this matter."
After listening to him, lissa contemplated for a few seconds before asking, "I still can’t see how I’m able to be of any help."
"I have practiced your Mind Separation Technique. To be able to control both of them at the sa ti under one mind might be the clue that I’m looking for.
"However, I may be able to master this technique, but you were the one who created this thod.
"I’d like to ask questions to hopefully find a clue on how to do the body reconstruction."
lissa finally understood what he wanted to know. She nodded with a solemn face. "If my knowledge can help you, I’ll answer every question you have, Sir Noel. But this place won’t be suitable for discussion. Please allow to guide you to the cave not far from here."
