"Is this the end?" Adam gritted his teeth. No matter how hard he raised their morale, the people would die against absolute strength.
The knight captain felt regretful. If he attacked this lump of soil, he could probably cut it down, but the split pieces would still hit the wall. There was no effective attack that could stop this kind of attack.
Even so, he had to save his lord from this current position. The knight captain bent his knees, building up all his strength in his feet. As soon as the rock reached his range, he would jump and cut it down.
"Be judged by the Martial God. Martial Severing Light!"
All of a sudden, a golden light flew from the right. The light expanded drastically from the horizon, turning into a size even bigger than the lump of soil itself.
"!!!" The soldiers dropped their jaws to the ground. After all, the light was actually disintegrating the soil until there was nothing left.
Adam abruptly turned to the right and saw an airship flying toward their city at high speed. At the very front of the airship stood a woman. The woman was wearing a martial outfit along with a white coat. However, her face was covered by a mask, covering only her upper face.
People didn’t recognize who she was. A woman with that kind of strength was Anna, or at least, that was the only na that appeared in everyone’s mind.
However, this person was not Anna. Although they were saved, they couldn’t help but wonder who would actually help her.
It was at this mont that Elaine climbed up, showing herself.
"That’s... Sister?" Adam gasped.
Before being able to say anything, the ship had reached a spot next to the city, startling everyone.
Rui waved her hand while shouting, "Fire!"
In that instant, all the elite rune mages ford the teor Runes. Even a bystander could see at least 12 runes forming from the ship.
With Rui’s order, the twelve teor Runes were fired like a huge stone from a catapult. They created a parabolic movent and ultimately landed on the demon army.

A series of explosions occurred. So high-level demons were fast enough to block it, but eight of them still landed and engulfed hundreds if not thousands of demons at once.
The terrifying demon army that was showing its killing intent from earlier was in disarray from a single attack.
As soon as the ship lined up with the city wall, Rui snapped her fingers. Her light ford a wide staircase down to the wall.
"Go!" The two divisions Rui brought imdiately rushed down the stairs in an organized manner. Then, the rune mage squad flew off the airship, leaving only several people behind, including Elaine.
"Watch out!" One of the soldiers shouted, warning them. The ancient demon ape was gathering an enormous amount of energy in its mouth before releasing it. The energy flew like a laser intended to take down the airship in one shot.
As a Falcon Class, it had the speed, but it was lacking in its combat capability. If this attack hits, the ship will definitely be destroyed.
Obviously, Rui wouldn’t let such a thing happen. She leaped forward, her fist emitting blinding golden light.
"Arui (Ardagan UI) Martial Arts. Spirit Fist." She punched forward. Her light caused a ripple in the air and in the beam, disrupting the energy flow and ultimately neutralizing it. The beam disappeared in an instant as though it had never existed to begin with.
Then, she kicked the air and launched herself to the wall, standing not far away from Adam.
"I co with the reinforcent from the Ardagan family. We’ve been tasked with destroying the ancient demon and the demon army. You may call UI." Rui introduced herself. Her voice wasn’t loud, but it gave them relief, especially after the showcase of her strength.
Elaine shouted, adding, "I am Elaine Lesen. I have co with reinforcents from the Ardagan family. Please fight together with them.
"In addition, I have brought a ssage from the Patriarch of the Ardagan family. To aid in the recovery from this attack, the forr count is now pardoned and may return to the territory.
"As such, I shall bring back the forr count here. That’s why, Brother..." Elaine stopped her ssage. Instead, she showed a resolute face as she looked at her brother.
"!!!" Adam realized Elaine must have done sothing since the Ardagan family was less likely to send a reinforcent to their family, let alone pardon their father.
She must have sacrificed herself once again for the family. But this wasn’t the ti to feel down. The enemy was right in front of them. If they worked together with the experts from the Ardagan family, they could win.
That was why Elaine wore that resolute face. He knew what she wanted to say.
"I leave the rest to you."
In the end, Elaine sacrificed herself so that her brother could lead this war to a victory. It would definitely make him get accepted by the entire territory as their lord.
Once again, he felt inferior to her sister. Still, there was no ti to feel bad about it. This was a chance. He, too, had to play his part in it.
Adam placed his fist on his chest and lowered his head to Rui. "I am the acting count, Adam Lesen. We’ll follow your arrangents. Please use us as you see fit."
"That’s where you are wrong." Rui shook her head. "This is your territory. These are your soldiers. It’s you who should take the lead. We are helpers who will take down the ancient demon and other high-level demons. The survival of this territory lies in your hands."
Adam smiled wryly. He raised his hand and shouted at the top of his lungs. "Listen up, brave warriors of my Lesen family. The Lesen family won’t perish. We, too, shall survive and co out as the victor. Lend your strength, and we shall erge victorious together with our ally, the Ardagan family!"
"Ooohhh!"
