Wendy simply said with a resolute face. "…How can we be safe… when the assassin is ?"
"!!!" The king widened his eyes in shock. The third princess was supposed to be a doll who would follow his words no matter what.
Yet, this doll actually dared to attack him. "You…"
Wendy looked at her father coldly. "Your reign is over. You have done so many bad things and caused all this instability.
"As long as you remain on the throne, the Muivell Kingdom is going to be destroyed sooner or later."
The king gritted his teeth. This wasn't supposed to happen. He didn't expect the third princess to betray him. Still, Conrad would have stopped her.
At the very least, the third princess was just a mortal, while the marshal was a spirit transcendence. Even if he was outside, stopping the third princess was easy.
That was why the king didn't understand what was going on. It was at this ti he recalled the spirit transcendence that Conrad ntioned.
At the sa ti, there was a clicking sound that echoed throughout the castle as the shock wave between their clashes caused the castle to shake.
"!!!" The king finally understood why Conrad didn't stop her. He simply couldn't do it because of this threat.
Originally, he thought it was the third prince who wanted to harm him, considering he was also a spirit transcendence. The third prince would kill Conrad first before seizing his position.
But it turned out he had been fooled. The spirit transcendence who ca here was none other than soone from Wendy's side.
However, there was supposed to be no other spirit transcendence coming here. Even Noel wouldn't personally go all the way here.
There was only one person who had this power, and he didn't expect this person would follow Wendy.
"Duke Lorelei…" The king gritted his teeth.
"That's right." Wendy smiled. "Duke Lorelei has been supporting this whole ti. You were the cause, Father. Even Duke Lorelei knew that the Muivell Kingdom would be destroyed sooner or later in your hands."
The king bit his lips before saying, "So, those western lords…"
"Of course. They supported . They are nothing but a distraction. Thankfully, you sent out the last batch of demonic humans. This way, no one could stop anymore." Wendy smiled.
"To think that you have been hiding everything this whole ti…" The king gritted his teeth.
"It's thanks to your guidance. You forced to hide everything, including my own heart. And this ti, I will be free. I will free this kingdom from suffering."
"It's useless. Even with the western lords, you are nothing compared to Marquis Ardagan."
Wendy shook her head. "It doesn't matter. I don't plan to oppose him, but at the sa ti, I know that Marquis Ardagan is dreaming about sothing even bigger. This small kingdom won't be enough for him, so I'm sure that he will leave in the future.
"Even if I have to bow, I will endure it until that ti… all for the sake of the kingdom. Even if the people know by how weak I am, then so be it. It's much better than letting this kingdom get destroyed.
"So, die, Father. I will take care of the kingdom in your stead."
The king looked down as if he had been defeated. However, his body was soon shaking as he giggled.
"…" Wendy furrowed her eyebrows.
"Hahahahaha. You are indeed a fool." The king grinned and lifted up his head again, this ti his sclera turning black.
"That's…" Wendy took a step back in fear.
"Do you think I will die so easily?" The king stood up.
"You… You are… a demonic human?!" Wendy's face was distorted in horror. The king was supposed to be powerless. He didn't have any spiritual energy in his body.
Even then, the king grabbed her neck and pinned her against the wall.
"What's wrong? Do you not realize it the whole ti? I thought you were supposed to be good at observing people.
"You don't even realize your father has beco a demonic human? Well, you probably don't know. After all, I'm the first demonic human in this kingdom."
"!!!" Wendy panicked, struggling to get so air. At the sa ti, it looked like his words gave her a realization. "No way… Was it at that ti?"
A decade ago. Her father was a good man. He pursued the true stability of the kingdom, but for so reason, he beca cold and acted like a fool, as if his previous self was nothing but an illusion.
"You…" Wendy gritted her teeth.
"It looks like you have realized it. I won't die. This kingdom will be destroyed. Noel Ardagan will die. The demons will rule supre." The king grinned. "And for that, you will have to die.
"Thank you for telling all the people I should kill, Daughter."
"No!" Wendy scread as though she fell into despair. She had made a huge blunder. It was supposed to be the last ti they talked before the king succumbed to his wounds. Yet, the king turned out to be faking his reaction to extract information from her.
"Hahahaha. I will send those people to you soon. So, die—!" The king wanted to snap her neck. Even though neither of them had spiritual energy in their body, the king was a demonic human, so his physical strength was much greater than Wendy's, who was a normal human. Snapping her neck wouldn't be that hard.
Yet, when he was about to do it, his strength suddenly dissipated as he coughed up blood.
"Gah!" The king fell to his knees while clutching his chest. "You…"
Wendy's expression turned cold again, as if everything she had shown was fake the whole ti.
"I did observe you. I had long known about this fact… However, I wish to personally end you instead of asking for another person's help. This is my duty as royalty. I guess… the poison takes much longer than I expected…"
Wendy's face was firm. "Thank you for showing your true nature… I can finally confirm that my father has been gone since that day ten years ago. Perish, you demon. Humanity shall persist."
