"Beco my wife."
"What?" Leysha stood up in shock, albeit she forgot they were inside the carriage and her head ended up hitting the ceiling. "Akh."
While gritting her teeth, she pointed at Luke, saying, "Are you seriously saying that here?"
"Yes." Luke nodded.
"Do you not understand the timing, atmosphere, and other things? You can't even be romantic." Leysha snarled.
"…" Luke looked down. "Well, you might be right. I should choose another place or take my ti to make you fall in love with first, but I don't really have ti."
"Because of the Supre Devil Organization…" In the past few months, she had learned a lot of things about the Supre Devil Organization. She couldn't help but ask, "Why are you doing this? Do you understand what you're doing right now? I an, you're going to force to fight the Supre Devil Organization, you know?"
Luke fell silent. She couldn't help but recall the ti when he was a kid.
His father was supposedly an upright man. He was very loyal to his wife and, as a father, he had provided all kinds of education for him.
However, when he was 5 years old, his father started to change. And that was because of the new woman in the household, who later beca his wife.
That was right. After giving birth to him, his mother fell sick and couldn't endure it, which resulted in her passing away.
Yet, his father remained strong and took care of the child by himself. For as long as he could rember, everything was filled with happy mories.
It all changed after eting a woman who later beca his wife.
At that ti, his father grew cold to him and kept blaming him for everything he had done for his wife. He then started flaunting his status as a noble to get more wives.
His grandfather, at that ti, was completely stunned by the sudden change of his father. The mont he realized that his life was numbered, his grandfather told the secret of the Ardagan family to the young Luke.
And as expected, his grandfather passed away not long after that.
Luke faked everything from that point on, making him look like not a threat. At the sa ti, he was gradually amassing power. People like Laufey, Silvester, and Raven were recruited by him.
And it didn't take long before he realized the situation was much grimr than he originally thought.
The woman who beca the wife to replace his mother turned out to be a spy from the Supre Devil Organization. They must want to eliminate the entire Ardagan family's bloodline with that plan.
No, there was even a possibility of them trying to gain the bloodline of the Ardagan family by using that woman to produce an offspring that would be later sent to the Supre Devil Organization.
In fact, his grandfather, who took care of him the whole ti after his father changed, died because of her.
However, his grandfather managed to make so preparations to prolong his life.
After learning the truth, Luke was furious. Sothing inside him had broken apart.
The once loving family ended up in such a state. That was why Luke thought nothing about love anymore. If he couldn't do it, he would just do it himself.
And the result was catastrophic. Luke usurped his father, killing all his wives at that ti.
In the room surrounded by fire, Luke looked at his father, who was crying while holding the spy in his embrace.
"You bastard. Not only do you take your mother's life, but you also take all my wives. I wish I had never had you."
Luke's expression remained cold, as though the last bit of love had disappeared from his heart.
He used the dagger on his head and stabbed his father's forehead, ultimately killing him.
"Farewell, Father. Farewell, good mories. In your next life, I wish that you don't fall for the wrong person," Luke muttered.
From that point on, Luke planned to avenge everything that had happened to him. Obviously, his main target was the Supre Devil Organization, which turned out to be much more massive than he could imagine.
It took him a long ti. In fact, he had to create an entire chamber of comrce that would later beco the number one in the world if he wanted to have the chance to resist them.
"That's… what happened." Luke shook his head helplessly. "I don't think I can give you love or have ti to do that. However, I can promise you one thing. I will treat you as my queen. If you want sothing, I will bring it for you. If your family takes you back, I will shut them down. In exchange, please lend your strength. Allow to ruin your perfect future with this twisted fate of mine.
"I will destroy the Supre Devil Organization. Not only for myself, but for my descendants."
Leysha was shocked at first, but she soon gritted her teeth before slapping Luke hard.
The crispy sound of the slap startled Luke. Leysha was furious, but at the sa ti, Luke felt his heart was clenched by an invisible hand. This fury didn't co because of his words. It was because of his actions.
"Do you know what you're lacking right now? You have frozen your own heart, not realizing that you have gradually strayed away from what makes us human. It's because we have the feeling that we can appreciate life!
"You know in the bottom of your heart that you love your father. You know it, but you bury that feeling deeply and freeze your heart so that you don't want to get hurt anymore.
"Why? Why are you acting tough?"
"Why, you say? If I showed any weakness, I would have died. If I show any indecisiveness, my people will be at a loss! You're the one who doesn't understand everything… I… I…" Luke gritted his teeth.
Leysha just held his head and pulled him into her embrace.
Luke was startled, but soon he heard. "You're not alone anymore. If you can't show your weakness to your subordinates, show it to . I won't be your bodyguard anymore.
"I will be your queen. And I will make sure that you remain as a human. I will make you appreciate your life. That's why it's fine now."
Luke bit his lips. It had been over a decade since the first ti he had to seal his emotion and weakness. No matter how hard it was, he had overco it.
Just for one, could he let go of this? He was tired of being strong for so long, much so for soone who barely reached 18 years old.
Luke simply cried, releasing all the pent-up emotion he had been forced to bury.
