"Tell , why are you here?"
Serena did not answer right away. She stood there quietly for a while, as if she were thinking about how much she should reveal.
After a mont, she finally spoke. "To be honest, before entering this Inheritance Site, I had no idea that the rumored Saint Sovereign… or rather, the Half-Immortal… was a descendant of the Immortal dicine Palace."
She paused for a mont before continuing, "I ca to this galaxy because I discovered by accident that a Supre Stone was hidden here, and I wished to obtain it. But as ti passed, I found clue after clue and eventually learned that the one who sealed this entire galaxy from the outside universe also had a supre treasure, one that is equal in value to the Stone of Immortality."
"That treasure has nothing to do with the Supre Stone, yet its value is just as high. I ca here to find it. Now that I know you are that person, I am certain the treasure is in your possession."
Her gaze sharpened slightly as she looked at Kryllax. Finally, Serena spoke without hesitation: "Senior, let's not waste ti. Please tell what you want in exchange for that supre treasure. After all, as far as I can see, your soul will not last for long."
Kryllax fell silent for a mont after hearing Serena's words. His eyes narrowed slightly, and the calm expression on his face changed into sothing much more complicated. He looked at Serena, then at Alex, and finally let out a long sigh.
"As expected of soone born in that family. You see far more than anyone can expect. But... even if my soul is fading, that treasure is not sothing you can simply take with a deal."
Serena's eyes did not waver. She seed to have already expected the old man's answer, so she remained calm and collected, but there was a faint sharpness in her gaze, like a blade hidden behind silk. Instead of showing frustration, she stepped forward slightly and spoke, "I never said I could take it simply. But you are running out of ti. If your soul collapses completely, what will happen to that treasure? It'll likely fall into the hands of an unworthy person. In the end, you will gain anything."
"Isn't it better to make a deal with ?"
Her expression grew more serious, and a trace of sadness appeared in her eyes—though it was unclear if that emotion was real or rely an illusion created by her calm tone.
"You should already know whether I am worthy or not. After all, I co from that lineage, even though I was frad and am currently on the run."
"Anyway, I'm offering a chance, not a demand. Tell your conditions. If there is sothing I can do, I will do it for you."
She paused, then added quietly: "And if you truly have no intention of passing it on, then say so directly. I do not wish to waste ti. I can always take it away or snatch it from anyone who obtains that treasure after your soul collapses. After all, there is no way anyone can go against in this galaxy."
Her voice was soft, gentle even, but it carried a quiet pressure that made the atmosphere tense. It was a kind of confidence that ca not from arrogance, but from knowing her own worth and power.
Alex looked at Serena. He was slightly surprised again. He has to admit that even after spending so much ti with her, he couldn't fully understand her true personality. Not to ntion, he was completely unaware of her true identity. Moreover, from the old man's words, Alex could tell that the family she cos from is definitely extraordinary and must hold great power in the universe.
The old man fell into deep thought, and after contemplating things over several tis, he sighed and shook his head. He slowly closed his eyes for a mont, as if making a final decision. When he opened them again, his gaze beca sharper than a blade.
"I agree to give you that treasure, but you must promise one thing."
The instant he spoke those words, his aura erupted like a storm. Power burst out from his body, shaking the entire Inheritance Site. The ground trembled, and even the air around them rippled like water. It was as if his soul, despite being weak, could still crush worlds with a single thought.
Alex took a step back instinctively, and even Serena's expression changed.
Finally, Kryllax spoke of his condition: "You must rebuild the Immortal dicine Palace. And if there are still survivors of the original bloodline, you must gather them and take them under your protection."
Serena's brows arched in astonishnt, and silence fell. She didn't answer right away.
For the first ti, her calm expression cracked slightly. Her eyes lowered, and her lips tightened. She looked as though she wanted to speak, but the words wouldn't co easily. There was struggle, hesitation, conflict, and even pain in her gaze.
Kryllax's condition wasn't just a difficult request; it was dangerous.
After a long mont, she finally spoke, her voice low: "Senior, you do understand what you're asking, right? If I do this, it ans I am openly standing against my own family. There has always been hatred between them and the Immortal dicine Palace."
Kryllax looked at her with calm eyes. Nodding, he answered slowly, "You yourself said that you were frad, and that you are on the run. That ans your family has already abandoned you… or even wants you dead. So, why can't you go against them?"
Kryllax's voice beca slightly softer as he continued speaking, "You already carry their bloodline. If you obtain my supre treasure as well, you will hold strength great enough to rise on your own. With ti, you can stand above them all. At that point, why fear them?"
"You have the potential. And you have the reason."
He looked directly into her eyes. Finally, he said, "If you agree to my condition and take a blood oath, I'll imdiately give you the treasure. If not, then forget our conversation and return."
Alex watched the exchange quietly. He could see that Serena's heart was in turmoil. This was the first ti he was seeing many expressions on her face.
