"Oh? Is that so? Then it's ti to say goodbye!"
At that exact mont, a calm voice echoed within his mind. Before the Black Dragon Lord could react, a colossal, withered hand surged from the infinite void and seized his massive head in a vice-like grip.
"Data Strike!"
An icy, elderly voice rang out in the Black Dragon Lord’s mind. His expression twisted in terror as he tried to struggle, but it was already too late.
Rumble!
In an instant, a terrifying flood of information surged into his mind like a breaking dam. Dense streams of data erupted across the Lord of the Black Void’s entire body.
BOOM!
With an earth-shattering explosion, the Black Dragon Lord’s physical form disintegrated in the void, shattering into a cloud of data that scattered across the world. All that remained was a single umbra-colored Dragon Crystal, with his Soul still sealed within.
The massive hand shrank instantly, clutching the crystal. Blake stepped out from the void a mont later.
Hum.
A rift tore open in the surrounding space, and Lance, Sovereign Glacia, and Selina flew out.
"He's dead? Just like that? How is this possible?" Sovereign Glacia stared in sheer disbelief. She hadn't expected Blake to be this powerful. Hadn’t he been hiding in a secret realm for years out of fear of the Black Dragon Lord? Why was he suddenly this strong? It defied all logic.
"Master."
Blake approached Lance with a respectful bow and handed him the black Dragon Crystal. Lance glanced at it. This was a Tier 12 Mid-grade Dragon Crystal. Inside, the Black Dragon Lord’s Soul peered out, his face twisted in horror.
"Sovereign Glacia? How? How are you still alive? There’s no way you could have survived my full-power strike back then!" Seeing her, the Black Dragon Lord’s Soul recoiled, his expression one of pure shock.
Ten million years ago, he had already reached the formidable Realm Lord Fifth Heaven. With that level of power, killing Sovereign Glacia—who was only at the peak of the Domain Lord rank—should have been as easy as swatting a fly. Yet here she was. He had even extracted The Glacial Canon from her shattered Soul fragnts!
Sovereign Glacia’s expression darkened at his words. Glaring at the trapped dragon, she burned with the urge to obliterate his Soul then and there. But even as a re Soul, he was beyond her reach; his Soul remained largely intact, while hers was nothing more than a lingering remnant.
"Hmph. Your attack destroyed seventy percent of my Soul. What you didn’t know was that when I acquired The Glacial Canon, I also found a Soul-type defensive artifact. It protected the final thirty percent, allowing to cling to life until now. But you? You’re destined to die today."
She spoke with cold, calm finality. The dragon’s Soul trembled. He never imagined her luck could be so heaven-defying—to possess a Tier 13 Soul defense... she was practically the chosen one.
"Did you... did you raise this Lance?" He finally voiced the question that burned in his mind. A monster like Lance—a genius so supre even the God-Realm of Destruction couldn't produce a rival for him—how could a re Domain Lord have nurtured him?
"Him? I don't have that kind of capability." Sovereign Glacia scoffed. She knew all about Lance taking the number one spot on the Grandmaster rankings. She had just been in the Virtual Universe herself, and the entire Dark-Heaven Universal God-Realm was in an absolute frenzy over the news.
People everywhere were desperately searching for the origin of this genius nad Lance. No one could have guessed he hailed from a Tier 7 civilization that hadn't even connected to the Virtual Universe yet. Because of that isolation, his true identity remained a total mystery.
"Alright, enough with the trip down mory lane. How you kill him is up to you," Lance interrupted. "Blake, extract his Soul and seal it. Search it for any remaining cultivation techniques while you're at it. As for the Dragon Crystal, I have other uses for it."
In the face of absolute power, revenge was trivial. The Black Dragon Lord had been erased in the blink of an eye. The gap between him and Blake was an entire major realm.
Lance was left speechless. He had been looking forward to a show, and it was over just like that? With the entertainnt gone, he decided it was ti for seclusion. He was on the verge of breaking through to the Planetary Realm, which would bring a massive spike in power.
Once he advanced, his absorption speed would increase more than a hundredfold. Theoretically, his growth rate would skyrocket by the sa margin. Combined with the assistance of the Virtual Universe, that number would likely soar dozens of tis higher. After encountering the true powerhouses of the cosmos, Lance realized just how weak he really was.
"As you wish."
Blake bowed. He pressed his withered hand against the Dragon Crystal. Looking at the old man, the Black Dragon Lord felt an endless tide of dread. For all his brutality, he was still capable of fear. And now, with death staring him in the face, he was absolutely terrified.
Rip!
Agony erupted from the depths of the Black Dragon Lord's Soul. He felt his very essence being forcibly torn from the crystal. For a dragon, the crystal was an extension of the Soul; this was no different from being ripped in half.
The excruciating pain sent his Soul into violent tremors, and the crystal throbbed in rhythm with his screams. It seed intentional. With Blake’s power, he could have extracted the Soul in an instant. Instead, he drew it out slowly, agonizingly, multiplying the pain tenfold.
"Who are you?! Why would soone like you help these ants?!"
The Black Dragon Lord let out a thunderous roar of pure fury. It was one thing for Lance to possess peerless talent, but for a God-King like Blake to address him as "Master" was an affront to the natural order.
A God-King—a supre power—serving a re Great Grandmaster? It was the ultimate absurdity, a joke that would mock the heavens themselves.
"It has been hundreds of millions of years. Do you still rember , Black Dragon Lord?" Blake spoke with a thin, cold smile. "I am Blake, once the humble servant of the Umbra Sovereign!"
Watching the Black Dragon Lord’s soul being wrenched from his body, a wave of bone-deep satisfaction washed over Blake. He vividly rembered the desperation of the past—how he and the Umbra Sovereign had been hunted like vermin across half the Black Dragon Star Realm, eventually eting their ends at this monster's claws.
But now, returned and empowered by Lance’s grace, he was finally purging that ancient debt.
"Blake? You’re that brat Umbra’s ship AI?" The Black Dragon Lord’s eyes widened as the mory clicked into place. "No… that’s impossible! How could a re Rank 11 AI beco a Rank 13 High-Intelligence being?!"
The dragon let out a low, incredulous growl. A Rank 13 High-Intelligence lifeform was a terrifying existence comparable to a God-King. Their growth cycle was far longer than that of Void Beasts or organic races. While a God-King might rise in a hundred billion years, a Rank 13 intelligence required trillions.
"You can find out the details in hell," Blake said, his expression devoid of rcy. He tightened his grip. "Actually, I forgot. You’re a World Lord. When you die, you simply cease to exist—you don’t even have the right to an afterlife. Goodbye."
Blake’s right hand lurched backward.
Crrrk-shhh!
In one violent motion, the Black Dragon Lord’s soul was ripped entirely from his physical vessel.
ROAARRRR!
A wretched, agonizing draconic shriek erupted from the extracted soul. The resulting shockwave surged outward, a tidal wave of destructive energy that annihilated everything in its path. In an instant, the wave engulfed the entire Black Dragon Continent. The dragons and other races inhabiting the land didn't even have ti to register what was happening before they were reduced to ash.
Crack! CRACK!
The entire continent, spanning a full light-year, began to splinter and collapse. This was the terrifying reality of a World Lord—even a final, dying struggle could lay waste to an entire world. As the sonic wave continued to ripple outward, nearby stars shattered like glass and dissolved into nothingness.
Lance and Selina watched the devastation in stunned silence.
"It really is ti to level up," Lance muttered, his expression grim. "A powerhouse of this level could kill with a single thought if they truly caught off guard."
"The Dragon Crystal you required."
Having sealed the Black Dragon Lord’s soul, Blake approached and respectfully handed a shimring gem to Lance.
Dragon Crystals differed from the Void Cores of standard Void Beasts. While a typical Void Core contained only soul energy—with physical power (CON) stored in the flesh—a Dragon Crystal held both. It housed the soul and roughly ninety percent of the dragon’s physical essence. This was why the Dragon Race possessed such monstrously powerful bodies; their physical reserves were dozens of tis higher than other Void Beasts of the sa rank.
Unfortunately for the Black Dragon Lord, no amount of physical might could close the gap between him and Blake, who stood an entire major realm above him. At the World Lord level, even the greatest genius in the Supre God-Realm of Destruction would find it nearly impossible to cross such a divide.
"I'll leave the soul for you to handle. I'm going into seclusion," Lance said, accepting the crystal with a faint smile.
Legends said that consuming a Dragon Crystal could drastically increase one's physical toughness, with a minuscule chance of awakening a Draconic Constitution. However, if Lance used his abilities to fix the "exploits" within the crystal, that "minuscule chance" would beco a guaranteed one hundred percent. Furthermore, a Rank 12 Dragon Crystal would likely be boosted to Rank 14, granting him a top-tier combat physique.
Unlike his Undying God-Body or his Law-based physiques, which were primarily supportive, this would be a pure combat-oriented physical constitution. Combined with his invincibility, his combat power would undergo a transformative leap.
Lance signaled to Sovereign Glacia and the others before flying back toward the ship.
Vrummm!
Suddenly, the universe shifted.
An endless Umbra Domain swept across the cosmos, swallowing the stars from the horizon inward. In a heartbeat, the world around Lance plunged into absolute darkness.
Lance’s pupils constricted.
"Shit, an ambush!"
He didn't hesitate. Realizing the scale of the threat, he instantly triggered his Violent Absorption.
BOOM!
The bottleneck that had been holding him back shattered instantly. His cultivation surged, breaking through into the Planetary Class. His CON value, which had been capped at 9.99 billion, exploded to a clean 10 billion.
He felt his Undying God-Body evolve. The threshold for his instantaneous revival dropped from one-ten-thousandth of his body to one-one-hundred-thousandth. His soul capacity also expanded, allowing him to tear his spirit into ten thousand fragnts without dying.
Without a second thought, Lance manually shredded his soul into ten thousand pieces to test the new limit. In less than 0.1 seconds, his soul pulled itself back together, erging twice as strong as it had been monts before.
