The Phantom Sector was a colossal galaxy, stretching across a staggering diater of five million light-years. Hundreds of millennia ago, it had been a bastion of civilization, ho to countless intelligent lifeforms.
Then, the Void-kin appeared.
Their ranks were filled with an endless number of powerhouses, each possessing the terrifying trait of being utterly immune to physical strikes. Faced with such an ethereal onslaught, the original inhabitants of the Phantom Sector never stood a chance. Within a re three thousand years, the entire sector had completely fallen.
For the next several hundred thousand years, the Void-kin expanded, butchered, and thrived within the Phantom Sector. Tens of thousands of years ago, they finally purged the last remnants of all other races from the galaxy. Now, their predatory gaze had turned toward the surrounding dozens of major galaxies. They had already systematically exterminated life in five or six others.
Their next objective: the Milky Way and its Five Great Races.
They had been weaving a web around the Milky Way for a full millennium, preparing to shatter the Five Great Races in a single, decisive blow. Once broken, the galaxy would face ten thousand years of enslavent and systematic slaughter.
At this mont, on Phantom Pri—a colossal world with a terrifying diater of three hundred million kiloters—the Stellar Class elites had gathered. This planet eclipsed many hypergiant stars in size; such a celestial body was unheard of within the Milky Way.
It was not a natural formation. Eons ago, a Galactic Realm powerhouse from the original inhabitants had used his supre power to fuse millions of planets and countless asteroids into this singular, massive world. Tragically, after hundreds of thousands of years under Void-kin occupation, the planet was on the verge of structural collapse.
Countless volcanoes erupted across its surface in a perpetual cycle of fire, turning the world into a literal purgatory. Yet, the Void-kin seed to revel in the chaos. To them, the rivers of lava and fire were rely pleasant scenery, incapable of harming their spectral forms.
"It has been over a thousand years. Is it not ti we moved against the Milky Way?"
Deep within the Phantom Sanctum, which spanned millions of kiloters across the surface, a colossal Umbra projection stood hundreds of kiloters tall. It lood in the center of the hall, bowing respectfully.
Their ruler was a galaxy-level powerhouse of the spectral race. The Phantom Archon currently manifested as a man wreathed in pitch-black Umbra energy. For a being of his caliber, the massive, ungainly forms of common Void-kin were a hindrance; he had chosen to condense his power into a refined, humanoid vessel.
Though his stature matched that of an ordinary man, the terrifying aura radiating from him caused the very space around him to ripple and shudder.
"How goes the infiltration plan?" the Phantom Archon asked, his voice eerily calm.
"One hundred thousand of our kin, all at the Planetary Class, have successfully embedded themselves throughout the Milky Way. On your command, the Five Great Races will collapse overnight. Once our logic-cores have completely jamd their communications, the entire Milky Way will beco nothing more than our livestock."
The massive projection spoke again. As a peak Stellar Class powerhouse, this Umbra was undoubtedly the second-most powerful entity in the Phantom Sector, subordinate only to the Archon himself.
"What is the status of the human known as the Martial Paragon?" the Phantom Archon asked, his tone turning grave.
He had spent the last few centuries devouring and refining the soul of the Galactic Realm powerhouse he had slain eons ago. Only recently had he completed the fusion, leaving him sowhat out of touch with the Milky Way’s current affairs. However, he maintained a grasp on the overall trajectory. Years ago, when the Martial Paragon first rose to prominence, the Archon had foreseen his potential to reach the Galactic Realm. He had deliberately spared the Milky Way, choosing to let the "crop" ripen rather than harvesting it early. By his calculations, the Martial Paragon should have broken through by now—or died trying.
"It is sowhat disappointing. Despite traveling to various Tier 8 civilizations and testing himself in neighboring galaxies over the recent years, he has yet to cross the threshold into the Galactic Realm. Unfortunately, his civilization does not et the criteria for entry into the Virtual Universe via the Cryo Star-System. Had they been granted access, he likely would have achieved the breakthrough by now."
The peak Stellar Class powerhouse spoke with a hint of helplessness. If the Martial Paragon reached the Galactic Realm, the Phantom Archon would personally descend to crush him and devour his soul, using the man’s essence to further bolster his own strength.
"Is that so? A pity," the Phantom Archon mused. "But what of this new human prodigy I’ve heard of? What is his potential? Does he have hope of reaching the Galactic Realm? If he shows promise, I do not mind waiting another few tens of thousands of years. I could even head into the Virtual Universe to purchase a Breaking-Bound Pill for the Martial Paragon to force his advancent."
It was rare to find a nascent civilization that lacked a powerful patron or access to the Virtual Universe. To the Archon, such a world was a rare delicacy. The original inhabitants of the Phantom Sector had been targeted for that exact reason—they were a fresh Tier 8 civilization without a background. He was even willing to "subsidize" the Martial Paragon’s breakthrough just to ensure a better harvest.
"Human records identify a genius with SS-grade talent nad Lance. Theoretically, his potential far outstrips the Martial Paragon's. However... I strongly advise against cultivating him. His awakened ability is the Solar Stellar Fla, a fire-type kinetic energy."
The Void Arch-Elder spoke with solemn respect. As the overseer of the Supre Core, he possessed intelligence that even the humans themselves were unaware of.
"While the humans believe that is all he possesses, my analysis of the data suggests otherwise. Lance appears to have secured the legacy of a Tier 7 civilization, including a dedicated Tier 7 logic-core. More alarmingly, he has mastered Holy Light Power—an energy with extre lethality against our kind. His true talent likely reaches SSS-grade."
The Arch-Elder continued his report. Lance’s mastery of Holy Light Power was a secret known to almost no one; his only recorded use of the ability had been during his entrance trials at the Solaris Academy.
Even with a Tier 7 bio-computer to block the Human Supre Core, it was impossible to shield against the Tier 8 main-brain of the Void-kin.
However, as soon as the Void Arch-Elder spoke, the expressions of the ten thousand Stellar Class powerhouses shifted drastically.
How was this possible? He had actually comprehended Holy Light Power.
If that was the case, the boy absolutely could not be allowed to live. Forget letting him reach the Galactic Realm—even at Rank 10 of the Stellar Class, his Holy Light Power might allow him to defeat the Phantom Archon.
Their race didn’t fear fire-type energy the most; they feared light. It just so happened that fire could also emit light.
Holy Light Power was undoubtedly the highest grade of light energy they could encounter at their current stage. Every Void-kin powerhouse present felt a chill run down their spine just hearing the na.
"It’s Holy Light Power... we can't wait any longer. Send the order: initiate the attack on the Milky Way imdiately. Also, find one hundred Stellar Class warriors to hunt down this genius, Lance! He must not be allowed to live!"
The mont he heard the na, even soone as powerful as the Phantom Archon turned solemn.
An SSS-tier talent ant that Lance’s ascension to the Galactic Realm was practically guaranteed. If he escaped now and ca back for revenge later, even the Phantom Archon wouldn't stand a chance.
To be safe, his existence had to be snuffed out now.
The fact that he assigned a hundred Stellar Class elites made it crystal clear how much he dreaded the Holy Light Power.
"We obey!"
"We obey!"
"We obey!"
...
...
Hearing the Phantom Archon’s command, the Stellar Class warriors were elated. Finally, they could begin the massacre of the Milky Way.
Bubbling with anticipation, they finished their salutes and began preparing the ships for the journey.
"Wait... why isn't my communication device working?"
Suddenly, a Stellar Class phantom realized his communicator was dead. He froze, completely baffled.
As soon as he spoke, the others were stunned and quickly checked their own devices.
To their horror, they found the sa problem.
"Mine's down too. What's going on?"
"Sa here. Did sothing go wrong with the Supre Core?"
"I don't know. I can't even reach the Supre Core!"
...
...
Over ten thousand Stellar Class Void-kin trembled. One person’s failure could be a glitch, but a total blackout including the Supre Core ant sothing had gone catastrophically wrong.
Seated upon the imperial throne deep within the temple, the Phantom Archon’s expression darkened as he realized he also couldn't reach the Supre Core.
Suddenly, his pupils constricted.
"Why is every single one of you here today?" he barked.
The Void-kin were bewildered. The Void Arch-Elder stepped forward.
"Didn't you summon us here to discuss the invasion of the Milky Way?"
"I thought you ca to see ! I was in the middle of cultivating when you woke !" The Phantom Archon took a sharp breath, his voice heavy. "It seems the Void-kin are being monitored by a higher civilization."
He rose slowly from his throne, his gaze cold as he stared into the depths of the starry sky.
His words sent shockwaves through the hearts of every warrior present.
"They're already here. There's no use hiding. Co, let’s see which civilization has the nerve to move against us!"
He showed no fear, only boundless fury.
After all, this wasn't their only branch. The Phantom Sector was rely one of countless strongholds. The true power of the Void-kin was beyond anyone’s imagination.
With that, the Phantom Archon flew out of the temple.
The remaining ten thousand Stellar Class warriors followed closely behind.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Countless Tier 6 ships sward Phantom Pri from every direction. At the sa ti, waves of powerful Planetary Class Void-kin arrived on the planet.
The horizon was choked with ships. Even the densest Void-kin realized by now that they were in deep trouble.
Gathering every Void-kin of Planetary Class and above in one place could only an one thing: soone was trying to wipe them all out in one fell swoop.
They had done this to other Tier 7 civilizations before. It was their most efficient, low-loss thod of extermination.
Now that the tables were turned, the Void-kin were livid.
"Hmph! Who is it? Show yourself!" the Phantom Emperor snorted. His voice rippled out like rolling thunder, shaking the entire planet.
In the next instant, he and the ten thousand Stellar Class warriors shot into the sky, piercing the atmosphere and entering the void of space.
The space surrounding them was packed with millions of Tier 6 ships, encircling the area for hundreds of millions of kiloters.
DONG!
A lodious chi erupted from the depths of the void.
An invisible ripple tore through space at an incredible speed.
Stars and ships alike were erased from existence the mont they touched the ripple. The world-ending shockwave continued its relentless advance toward them.
The sight sent a jolt of terror through the Void-kin. The black mist shrouding their bodies billowed uncontrollably—they were utterly shaken.
"No... that's the sound of a Tier 10 technological weapon... the Star-Slayer Bell!" the Phantom Emperor shrieked, his face pale with horror.
"What? A Tier 10 weapon?"
"The Star-Slayer Bell? How? Who did we offend?"
"Is this it? Are we just supposed to wait for death?"
