Lance looked at Lillian and gave her a few final instructions. He hadn't yet begun the process of fixing her physical constitution; he didn't have enough resources to spare for himself, let alone her.
Beyond that, he was already a pri target for assassination. Lillian would be even more vulnerable. With the system’s help, Lance could have transford her into a top-tier genius capable of dominating the leaderboards within a matter of days, but doing so would be painting a massive target on her back. It was far too dangerous.
Instead, he provided her with high-grade Flesh and Blood Essence to give her cultivation speed a modest boost. He wouldn't truly elevate her talent and strength until he reached a level where he could protect himself and his interests across the cosmos.
Even so, this Flesh and Blood Essence was more than enough to cause Lillian's strength to skyrocket in the short term. After all, the materials Lance had recently harvested ca from terrifying Tier 14 and 15 entities.
"Got it! I’ll train as hard as I can!" Lillian’s voice bubbled with excitent.
While Lance’s body and primary consciousness remained here, his sub-consciousness was currently undergoing a brutal, nonstop slaughter within The Infinite Resurrection Arena of The Virtual Universe. At this rate, it wouldn't be long before he beca a powerhouse in the Galactic Realm.
Ding-dong! Guest arrival!
The doorbell chid, breaking the silence.
"Who is it?" Lillian asked, looking up curiously.
"It’s Aether and Silas Stuart," Lance said with a faint smile. With a flick of his mind, the front door slid open.
Two elderly n entered, walking with a asured, almost hesitant caution. Lillian noticed their wary expressions and imdiately understood the situation. She focused on her al and kept her mouth shut, letting the adults handle the talking.
"Lance... it’s been a while," Aether said, his voice tinged with awkwardness.
"A few days. Please, take a seat," Lance replied, standing up to greet them with a polite smile.
Aether breathed a sigh of relief at Lance's hospitable attitude.
"I hate to bother you, but I was hoping we could talk. Do you have a mont?" Aether asked, sounding sowhat bashful.
"Gentlen, I actually have so matters to attend to. I'll take my leave. Planet Silvermoon has been incredibly busy lately," Silas Stuart interjected, sensing the need for privacy. He made a hasty exit.
"I'm going to head to my room to practice. You two talk," Lillian said, quickly clearing her things and retreating.
"What's on your mind, Aether? You can be direct," Lance said once they were alone. He didn't harbor any ill will toward the old man; Aether hadn't been the one responsible for the trouble Lillian faced. Besides, Lance had already vented his frustration.
"Right. Well, first, I want to apologize for what happened to Lillian. I failed to settle her properly, and she suffered because of my oversight."
Aether looked genuinely ashad. He had delegated her care, never imagining it would lead to such mistreatnt. Between the secret realms opening and the constant threats from The Four Great Races against The Human Race, he had been stretched far too thin.
"That's water under the bridge," Lance waved him off. "The people responsible—and the backers they relied on—are dead. There's no need to bring it up again."
Aether sighed with a mix of guilt and relief. He had expected Lance to be furious, but the youth proved to be far more reasonable than he had anticipated.
"Thank you, Lance." Aether's tone was sincere.
"You wanted to know about The Virtual Universe, right?" Lance asked with a slight smile.
"You really know about it?" Aether’s eyes lit up with excitent and desperation. "If you could explain it to , I'd appreciate it. To be honest, that voice from earlier has us all on edge. Even Martial Paragon has no idea what's going on."
"Explaining it would take too long. Here, I've compiled so data. See for yourself." Lance tapped a button on his Tier 11 Wrist Communicator.
Buzz!
A flood of information surged directly into Aether's mind. The data contained the hierarchy of power in the cosmos, the major factions, the various races, and a general overview of The Virtual Universe.
Aether’s jaw dropped in sheer horror. He had always thought the Realm Lord stage was the pinnacle of existence. Now he realized that in the eyes of true powerhouses, a Realm Lord—soone who could manifest a small world—was no different from an ant.
His entire worldview crumbled, only to be replaced by sothing far more vast and terrifying. He finally understood how insignificant The Human Race truly was. They were so small they didn't even qualify as a civilization. By the standards of The Virtual Universe, only Tier 10 civilizations and above were recognized and allowed to connect to the network.
"This... I never imagined the universe was this massive. It’s laughable now. Martial Paragon and I thought The Black Dragon Lord was an invincible existence. To think there are so many levels above it..." Aether's voice trailed off, shaken to the core.
Noir, who had been lazily chewing on a piece of at nearby, looked up in confusion.
"The Black Dragon Lord? You an that snack? Is he supposed to be strong?" Noir took another bite of at.
Thanks to Lance’s high-tier feedings, Noir had already reached Tier 8. It wouldn't be long before he hit the limit of his species: the Tier 9 Star Sea Realm.
Of course, this marked the end of his period of explosive growth—unless Lance chose to use his Reconstruction Quotas to shatter his existing limits. For the ti being, however, that wasn't an option. Although it would only take five more uses, they were still five precious Reconstruction Quotas.
To the current Lance, every single Reconstruction Quota was invaluable.
"As for The Universal Genius Competition... participate if you can. There are only benefits and no drawbacks. After all, it's being held within The Virtual Universe, so there’s no risk of actual death," Lance said slowly. "While the chances of being scouted by a true powerhouse might be slim, it's still worth going just to see what the world beyond has to offer."
In truth, he didn't have much of a choice; participation was mandatory when the ti ca. Since there was no real mortal danger, he figured it was for the best. Letting The Galactic Terrans witness the sheer power of the experts in the wider universe would foster better growth.
He had heard rumors over the last couple of days that because The Human Race had unified The Milky Way, many cultivators had grown complacent, abandoning their efforts in favor of a life of luxury. They had no idea that the real danger lurked beyond The Milky Way. If not for Lance, the entire galaxy would have already been swallowed whole by The Void-kin.
"Understood. I'll be sure to pass along your thoughts," Aether said, nodding repeatedly.
After a few more brief words, he hurriedly took his leave. He knew that while perhaps no other human stood a chance of catching the eye of the supre elite, Lance was different. Lance was their hope. He didn't dare waste a second of Lance's ti; doing so was equivalent to squandering the future of The Human Race. Moreover, he needed to relay Lance’s stance to The Martial Paragon and the others imdiately to put their minds at ease.
Deep within the endless, empty void of the cosmos, a colossal temple surged with waves of infinite darkness as it drifted through the vacuum. Countless streaks of Void Turbulence hamred against the structure with ferocity, yet these chaotic currents—capable of obliterating an Immortal Grade powerhouse—failed to leave even a single scratch on the temple's surface.
Engraved upon the temple's facade were two massive words: DESTRUCTION.
If this temple were to suddenly appear within the known universe, it would frighten countless civilizations to death. Its sheer scale was more terrifying than a Star Realm. A Star Realm—a staggering expanse stretching at least a trillion light-years—was roughly the sa size as this single temple.
Indeed, this was the sanctuary of The Destroyer Supre, and simultaneously, a Tier 6 Supre Artifact.
"Master! News has co from The Virtual Universe. Soone has redeed Ability Skills from the Destruction Branch!"
In the heart of the great hall deep within the temple, a super-powerhouse in the form of a middle-aged man—a Peak Immortal Realm entity—bowed respectfully toward an elderly figure seated upon the high throne. This was God-Emperor Extinction.
As the words left his lips, the old man slowly opened his eyes.
In that instant, the very fabric of the world began to tremble violently. Every trace of Void Turbulence within hundreds of millions of light-years was instantaneously vaporized into nothingness.
"After so many trillions of years, another has finally erged who can comprehend the Power of Destruction... It is a pity that I likely won't live to see him grow," the old man spoke, his voice heavy. This was none other than The Destroyer Supre himself.
However, judging by his appearance, he looked like a man standing at the very edge of his lifespan.
A Supre Divinity’s lifespan should theoretically be infinite, but The Destroyer Supre was the exception. Eons ago, he had joined other ancient powerhouses to seal away The Celestial Fiends. That battle had seen the fall of a supre being, and even though The Destroyer Supre had only weathered a tenth of that catastrophic power, his Core of Origin Laws had been severely damaged.
For countless ages, even with The Goddess of Vitality exhausting her efforts, the wound had not healed in the slightest. His life force had finally reached its limit. Barring a miracle, he would perish within a few hundred billion years at most.
When that day ca, his Origin Power of Destruction would be inherited by one of his ten disciples. As for who possessed the strength to truly claim it, that remained to be seen. By his estimation, while his eldest disciple before him was the strongest among them, the man still lacked the capacity to withstand the full weight of the Origin Power of Destruction.
This ant that if nothing changed, The Destroyer Supre would cease to exist in the universe upon his death. If the Sky Demons took that opportunity to break free from their seal, nothing would be left to stop them.
While several hundred billion years sounded like an eternity, to a powerhouse of his level, it was no different from a single day in the life of a mortal.
God-Emperor Extinction fell silent. He knew all too well that his own strength was insufficient to succeed his ntor’s position.
"What is the child's race?" The Destroyer Supre asked slowly.
"He is of The Primordial Kin, located within the borders of our Supre God-Realm of Destruction. Furthermore, he has awakened both The Primordial Sovereign Physique and an Undying God-Body! His talent for combat is terrifying. According to the records I accessed with my authority, he defeated that girl, Theia, while only at the first level of the Planetary Realm!"
God-Emperor Extinction spoke with deep reverence. As a God-Emperor and the spokesperson for The Destroyer Supre, he kept a watchful eye on everything within the Supre God-Realm of Destruction. He even reported the fact that Lance possessed an Undying God-Body.
"Oh? One of The Primordial Kin? He awakened The Primordial Sovereign Physique and an Undying God-Body?"
As the three pieces of information landed, The Destroyer Supre’s pupils contracted sharply. He imdiately seized direct authority over the Supre God-Realm of Destruction's logs. In an instant, every detail of Lance’s actions within The Virtual Universe unfolded before his eyes.
