"Enemy!"
Faction Leader Seo shouted and flew into the chamber. Stopping where Jin Sa-wol had been standing just monts before, she looked at the lying Flower Ghost.
The naked Flower Ghost was as still as death.
Faction Leader Seo's eyes turned to the back of the lying Flower Ghost's head. Blood flowing from there was soaking the bed.
She looked out the window, but Jin Sa-wol's figure was nowhere to be found. He had vanished like a ghost.
"Shit! Aaargh!"
Letting out a cry of rage, Faction Leader Seo extended her hand into the air.
Ping!
As she retrieved the blood-sucking threads, the Flower Ghosts gathered behind her. There were five of them; the other half were not seen.
"Were there any suspicious people outside?"
"No, ma'am."
The five answered in unison and bowed their heads.
Thump!
Just then, with the heavy sound of a door opening, Mun-gang's voice echoed.
"What happened? Oh my."
Mun-gang, who had entered the first floor, frowned upon seeing the Flower Ghosts dead, leaning against the wall in a line.
Faction Leader Seo rushed down from the second floor.
"Lord Cheon has been kidnapped."
"To where?"
"He disappeared through the window, but I lost him after that."
"You foolish woman."
At Mun-gang's words, Faction Leader Seo's expression hardened. But no excuse ca to mind.
Whoosh! Thump!
Song Bi, the Pavilion Master of the Wind Blood Pavilion, dressed in black martial arts attire and a black cape, rushed inside.
"What is going on?"
Song Bi was a man in his mid-forties with particularly prominent thick eyebrows, and his square face flashed with fierce, tiger-like eyes.
Mun-gang said.
"It seems soone has kidnapped Lord Cheon."
"That's ridiculous..."
"It's true."
Hearing Faction Leader Seo's words, Song Bi stroked his beard.
"Did you get a good look at the culprit?"
Faction Leader Seo shook her head. It had happened in an instant, so she couldn't even see the opponent's face properly.
"What were you doing, not chasing him!"
"I tried to chase him, but he had already disappeared."
"Foolish!"
Thump!
Song Bi slamd the ground and shouted, then turned his head and said to Mun-gang.
"If he's not here, he must be up there, so let's go up."
"We don't know where he went, do we? Pavilion Master Song, you go up. I will search while going down. We must find him."
At Mun-gang's words, Song Bi thought of the maze. That was also a good place to hide.
Of course, the possibility was not high, but it couldn't be ignored.
"Do as you wish. I will take Lord Cheon's guards and Faction Leader Seo with ."
"Do so."
"If we can't find him by morning, we will gather here again."
"Understood."
At Mun-gang's answer, Song Bi turned his body and went outside.
"Everyone gather! We're going up! Shit! Why the hell did he crawl out of the cult and make people suffer like this! Damn bastard!"
Song Bi spat out curses loudly. Judging by the way he was cursing, it seed he didn't have a good relationship with Cheon Woo-rin.
As Faction Leader Seo was about to pass, Mun-gang asked.
"Do you think he's dead?"
"If he's dead, we must at least find the body."
Faction Leader Seo answered in a weak voice and went outside. If the body wasn't found, Faction Leader Seo would have to die.
Perhaps Faction Leader Seo's life had already vanished the mont Cheon Woo-rin was kidnapped.
Mun-gang shook his head, then went outside and headed for the maze of the fourth gate with his subordinates.
Mun-gang had no intention of going up.
If the one who kidnapped Cheon Woo-rin was the gatekeeper he had t above, the chances of winning were not high.
* * *
Jin Sa-wol, who had laid Cheon Woo-rin down in the wide open space where Dokgo Shin-wi had died, surveyed the fog-filled lake.
Beyond the lake was quiet. There was still a lot of ti until morning.
Bringing Cheon Woo-rin was not a difficult task for Jin Sa-wol.
It would have been impossible for the old killing ghost, but not now. His concealnt and footwork through the True Blood Demonic Art and Ghost God Steps were far more stealthy than when he used the Silent Shadow Heart Art.
Without even taking a breath, Jin Sa-wol entered Cheon Woo-rin's bedroom, pressed Cheon Woo-rin's acupoints, and then killed the Flower Ghost sleeping with him.
After that, he cut the blood-sucking threads, went outside, and ran here without rest.
The dense fog and the lake held back the feet of the Demonic Cult mbers trying to find Cheon Woo-rin.
Until the fog disappeared, no one could co here.
Jin Sa-wol pressed a dozen or so vital points on Cheon Woo-rin's entire body. It was a asure to suppress his demonic blood and prevent him from moving.
After that, he slapped Cheon Woo-rin's cheek.
Slap!
"Ack! Which bastard!"
Cheon Woo-rin, startled, shot his eyes open and shouted. Cheon Woo-rin, who was looking at the sky with angry eyes, widened his eyes when he saw the night sky.
He should have seen the ceiling of his chamber, but seeing the sky made him flustered. Cheon Woo-rin, turning his head left and right, discovered a person sitting to his right.
The sitting person was a young man who looked to be in his early to mid-twenties.
"You bastard! Who the hell are you?"
"You don't know ?"
"What nonsense is this? Are you crazy?"
Cheon Woo-rin, seeing a face for the first ti in his life, tried to get up as if it were absurd. But his body wouldn't listen.
"I've suppressed your acupoints. I've blocked from the Qi Gate to the Middle of the Chest acupoint, and also the Gate and the Great One. For the legs, I've blocked from the Rabbit's Crouch to the Five Li. For the arms, I've blocked from the Shoulder Well to the Yang Valley, so it will take an hour for you to move."
Hearing Jin Sa-wol's explanation, Cheon Woo-rin's eyes widened.
There existed special acupoint-pressing techniques for torture that made a person unable to move and caused pain, and the acupoint-pressing technique Jin Sa-wol had just used was of that kind.
Moreover, it was the Bone-Shattering Blood-Death Technique of the Ghost Spirit Valley, an acupoint-pressing technique he also knew.
"Bone-Shattering Blood-Death Technique?"
When Cheon Woo-rin asked, Jin Sa-wol nodded.
After an hour, the qi and blood would twist, and the blood vessels would burst, causing blood to flow from the five orifices.
It was a vicious technique that was accompanied by imnse pain, making one struggle and beg for death.
"You son of a bitch."
Cheon Woo-rin muttered and gritted his teeth. Understanding his situation, everything seed absurd.
But he had to maintain his composure. That was the only way he could escape this danger.
Fortunately, there was no pain yet. It ant that not much ti had passed since the acupoints were suppressed.
"Who are you?"
"Soone who has a grudge against you."
"A grudge? What kind of grudge? I have grudges with more than one or two people, so I can't rember."
"I thought there were many, but was it to the point you can't rember?"
"More importantly, do you know who I am and are pulling this stunt now?"
"I know."
Jin Sa-wol answered and then stood up and lifted Cheon Woo-rin's right arm.
"I have no intention of killing you gently either."
Crack!
As his index finger was bent backward, Cheon Woo-rin gritted his teeth. His whole body trembled, but there wasn't even a groan.
Cheon Woo-rin glared at Jin Sa-wol with a face dripping with cold sweat.
"Do you think I'll die from that?"
"Pfft! Keh-keh!"
Jin Sa-wol, without realizing it, showed an eye-smile and grinned. That face looked terribly cold.
"Of course you won't die. If I intended to kill you, I would have cut your throat."
Jin Sa-wol showed a laugh as if it were absurd, then broke all the remaining fingers.
Crack! Snap! Snap!
"Kraak!"
As he broke the last little finger, Cheon Woo-rin let out the scream he had been holding back. The sound echoed beyond the night fog.
Hearing that sound, the Demonic Cult mbers might co running at any mont.
Cheon Woo-rin, with a sweat-drenched face, asked Jin Sa-wol.
"What is it that you want?"
"Nothing."
Jin Sa-wol shook his head and then stepped back.
Crack!
Cheon Woo-rin's shoulder was dislocated, and his arm twisted.
"Kraaaaaak!"
The qi and blood twisted, bones popped out, and muscles contorted.
"Tell ! Kraak! Tell
what you want! I'll give you anything! Uwaaaak!"
Along with the scream, blood spurted from Cheon Woo-rin's mouth, but Jin Sa-wol just watched him silently.
"Please... Uuuk!"
As a desperate groan flowed from Cheon Woo-rin's mouth, Jin Sa-wol raised his sword and stabbed both of Cheon Woo-rin's knees.
"Kraaak!"
Another scream erupted from Cheon Woo-rin's mouth. Jin Sa-wol soon moved his hand and released the acupoints.
"Hoo-wook! Haa! Haa!"
Cheon Woo-rin gasped for breath and looked up at Jin Sa-wol. As the pain of his twisting qi and blood disappeared, the light in Cheon Woo-rin's eyes returned to normal.
Jin Sa-wol sat down on the ground and said.
"I was a killing ghost of the Ghost Spirit Valley."
"Revenge for the Na family."
"No, it's revenge for the dead killing ghosts."
"It was not
personally, but the entire cult that destroyed the Ghost Spirit Valley. Do you think your revenge will end by killing ? It was my father's order. If you want revenge, do it to my father, not ."
A sneer hung on Cheon Woo-rin's lips.
It was a provocation to fight the Demonic Cult if he wanted revenge. It also ant that he would eventually die at the hands of the Demonic Cult.
"A re killing ghost dares to try to kill , what a foolish bastard."
Jin Sa-wol, looking at Cheon Woo-rin's smirking face, reached out, grabbed his shoulder, and applied force.
Crack!
"Kraak!"
As the scream echoed, Jin Sa-wol let go of his hand.
"Watch your mouth."
At Jin Sa-wol's words, Cheon Woo-rin firmly shut his mouth.
"No one will co here no matter how much you scream."
"Your limbs..."
Swish!
As Jin Sa-wol raised his hand again, Cheon Woo-rin stopped talking.
"I heard you married Dokgo Hye."
"You bastard... How dare you ntion my wife with that dirty, lowly mouth?"
"Dokgo Hye knew everything."
At Jin Sa-wol's words, Cheon Woo-rin frowned.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"About your debauchery and that you were the one who killed her handmaiden. And that you were in an inappropriate relationship with your cousin, including Seo Mun-ok."
"What?!"
Cheon Woo-rin's eyes widened, and he trembled all over as if he were greatly surprised.
"She knew? She knew, so why..."
"Did she marry you?"
"Yes."
"She said she would get revenge."
At Jin Sa-wol's words, Cheon Woo-rin stared blankly at the sky. His face looked as empty as soone who had lost everything.
All sorts of things flashed through his mind. They were mories of living together since their marriage.
"The reason she kept her distance from ... was that it? Hoho! Hahahaha!"
Cheon Woo-rin laughed emptily. But coming to his senses, he turned his gaze to Jin Sa-wol.
"Who are you? Who are you to know about Hye-ah?"
"Number ninety-nine."
The mont he heard the words 'number ninety-nine', Cheon Woo-rin looked at the sky with an expression of disbelief.
Drip!
A teardrop flowed from Cheon Woo-rin's eye. The image of Dokgo Hye flickered before his eyes.
"She knew everything... So that's why... I gave her so much affection... I tried so hard, asking her to just look at
once..."
It was hard to just watch him, lost in despair.
Cheon Woo-rin, with a face that had given up on life, said.
"Kill ."
"It seems your affection was deep."
"At one ti, she was my everything. I stopped at nothing to possess all of Hye-ah. That's why I killed that handmaiden bitch too."
"I heard your son died. Was that Dokgo Hye's revenge?"
"Don't speak carelessly just because you have a mouth. I'll kill you. What mother in the world would kill her own child!"
"Just curious."
At Jin Sa-wol's smile, Cheon Woo-rin trembled all over. In that mont, Cheon Woo-rin realized that what Jin Sa-wol wanted was his despair and anger.
Jin Sa-wol was enjoying his pain. Realizing that, he corrected his mindset again.
"You vicious bastard. I almost fell for your word gas."
All sorts of emotions appeared on Cheon Woo-rin's face. Jin Sa-wol found it very amusing to watch.
"One more thing."
Although he heard Jin Sa-wol's voice, Cheon Woo-rin closed his eyes. But Jin Sa-wol asked without caring.
"Why did the Demonic Cult Leader send you to this godforsaken place? Did he abandon you?"
"Shut up!"
