Sheng Ning’an walked out of the office and headed toward the elevator.
Unexpectedly, she saw Miss Anna at the elevator door.
It didn’t seem like she was waiting for the elevator; it seed like she was waiting specifically for her.
"I want to talk to you." A harsh and awkward Chinese voice sounded.
Sheng Ning’an guessed right; she really was here specifically to see her.
"Miss Anna." Sheng Ning’an nodded slightly toward her and greeted her.
Anna slightly raised her chin, speaking clumsily in Chinese word by word: "I like Xu Weiran, I know you are his fiancée. You have a saying called fair competition, I want to compete with you fairly."
"Miss Anna’s Chinese is very good, but we also have another saying, ’The gentleman does not take away what others like.’ I wonder if Miss Anna has heard of it?" Sheng Ning’an smiled and responded.
If she hadn’t heard it, she didn’t mind helping to translate.
"What do you an?" Anna frowned.
Her Chinese was only at the basic conversational level, and anything more complex was beyond her understanding.
Sheng Ning’an smiled slightly and said, "The gentleman does not seize others’ favorite."
"I believe Miss Anna is a cultured person who wouldn’t take away sothing that belongs to soone else. Of course, liking him is your freedom, but as for the fair competition you ntioned, I’m sorry, I cannot accept it."
Ridiculous, why would she have to compete fairly with soone else for her fiancé?
Only when two people compete for sothing that was not originally theirs is it called fair competition. Taking sothing that belongs to you and competing fairly with others, that’s called foolish.
Even though Anna couldn’t completely understand her aning, she could tell that the other party was insulting her.
Most importantly, the other party rejected her.
"Why don’t you accept?" She glared at Sheng Ning’an angrily and asked unhappily.
"Would Miss Anna take sothing very important and cherished to you and give it to soone else?" Sheng Ning’an retorted.
"Why would I give my things to soone else?" Anna frowned, obviously displeased.
Sheng Ning’an: "Miss Anna, you couldn’t do that either, right? I’m the sa. Xu Weiran is a very cherished and important person to , and I won’t give him to anyone, not even for fair competition."
"How can that be the sa?" Anna didn’t understand.
To like and pursue soone of the opposite sex is very normal abroad. Even if, after marriage, they find they like soone else, they can end their marriage at any ti.
So she didn’t find anything wrong with liking Xu Weiran and wanting to compete fairly with his fiancée.
Love should be reckless, enthusiastic, and fearless.
Sheng Ning’an said, "To , it is the sa. I won’t give up my things, and I certainly won’t give up my fiancé. n with toothbrushes, not shared with others."
Anna roughly understood her aning.
But she still couldn’t give up.
And couldn’t understand Sheng Ning’an’s perspective.
In their country, if you like soone, you should boldly and courageously pursue them.
Be true to your heart, and true to your feelings.
Even after marriage, if you discover you no longer love them, you can divorce, let alone when they are just engaged and not married yet.
Of course, her thoughts don’t really matter.
Sheng Ning’an wasn’t worried that Xu Weiran would be taken away by her, but she still needed to express her position clearly.
Whether or not she could take him away was one thing, but whether or not to let her try was another.
