Xu Weiran noticed the confusion in her eyes and explained, "As an assistant, understanding the boss’s preferences is the most basic professional standard." There’s no need to be instructed on every single detail.
The problem is, it’s one thing to know his preferences, but why does the other party even know her preferences so well?
Xu Weiran slightly curved his lips and said, "Naturally, because the lady’s preferences are equally important."
"Ahem, who’s your lady?" No marriage certificate, no wedding, yet he calls it more and more smoothly.
Xu Weiran held the knife and fork, placing the cut steak in front of her, and said, "Not now, but very soon."

As the two were eating, a sudden female voice interrupted.
Sheng Ning’an looked up and saw a blonde woman with blue eyes walking towards their table. To be exact, she was heading in Xu Weiran’s direction.
"Miss Anna!" Xu Weiran greeted her, his attitude not overly enthusiastic but without any flaws.
The blonde woman, wearing high heels, walked directly to Xu Weiran’s side, about to speak when she noticed Sheng Ning’an across from him.
With a critical and appraising look, she glanced at Sheng Ning’an and asked in awkward Chinese, "Who is she?"
"This is who I ntioned to you before, my fiancée, Sheng Ning’an," Xu Weiran introduced.
The blonde woman’s expression subtly changed, her gaze returning to Sheng Ning’an, and the more she looked, the more unpleasant her face beca.
After a mont, she withdrew her gaze and looked back at Xu Weiran, her tone with a bit of willfulness, "I asked you to dinner, why didn’t you co?"
Xu Weiran: "Sorry, I had to accompany my fiancée, so I didn’t have ti."
Hearing this, the blonde woman’s face stiffened again. Then she looked hopefully at him, "Then can you co to my birthday party next week?"
Xu Weiran smiled politely and said, "If I have ti, I will bring my fiancée to the party. If I’m really unavailable, I will have my assistant prepare a gift for Miss Anna."
The blonde woman seed a bit disappointed not getting a definite response, opened her mouth to say sothing, but in the end, seeing Sheng Ning’an, only managed a forced smile and said, "Alright, I’ll wait for you." After that, she turned and walked away.
She never intended to invite Sheng Ning’an from the beginning.
"You’re not planning to explain?" Sheng Ning’an leisurely looked at the man opposite her.
Xu Weiran smiled and asked, "Explain what?"
"Naturally, explain who that beauty was just now?" Is he playing dumb here with her?
Xu Weiran: "The daughter of a director of the company."
Sheng Ning’an snorted coldly, "Or more accurately, your pursuer, right?"
The smile on Xu Weiran’s face deepened as he looked at her, "Jealous? Rest assured, I’ve already told her I have a fiancée."
"But looking at her, it’s clear she hasn’t given up on you." Her attitude clearly didn’t regard her as the fiancée at all.
Xu Weiran chuckled and said, "Even if she hasn’t given up, there’s nothing that can be done. My heart is only for you."
Sheng Ning’an raised an eyebrow, "But I see you’re pretty polite to her."
At least more polite than to past pursuers.
Xu Weiran calmly explained, "The company wants to shift so focus to the dostic market and needs the support of the directors." In other words, he was courteous to her out of respect for her father.
