The aning was clear—she started the trouble, she was responsible for resolving it.
Sheng Ning’an had no choice but to lean closer to the old lady and whisper, "Grandma, don’t worry. If it’s true, it can’t be fake; if it’s fake, it can’t be true. Why not go back and rest first? I’ll ask Young Uncle again and let you know once I’ve got the full story."
The old lady understood her granddaughter’s intention.
Knowing she wouldn’t get anything out of that rascal, she let her granddaughter handle it, then cooperatively yawned and said, "Alright, I’m too old to stay up late, I’ll just go back and sleep."
After speaking, she didn’t forget to give Sheng Ning’an a look, signaling her to find out the truth no matter what.
Once the old lady left, Sheng Ning’an looked at Sheng Yeli again and said, "Alright, grandma’s gone to her room. Are you going to tell what’s really going on? Tang Dou said she saw you go into a hotel with a woman in broad daylight."
"Tang Dou?"
Sheng Yeli slightly raised an eyebrow, his voice as indifferent as ever, "Are you saying that girl told you she saw go to a hotel with a woman?"
"That’s not the point." Sheng Ning’an looked at him with a gossipy face, "You still haven’t told whether that woman is my future aunt or not."
"No." Sheng Yeli glanced at her blandly and reminded, "I’ve already got soone engaged. Next ti, don’t jump to conclusions."
Alright, since Young Uncle said "no" twice, it probably really isn’t.
"So, what were you doing going to a hotel with a woman in broad daylight?" Sheng Ning’an persisted in asking.
"That’s none of your concern." Sheng Yeli gave her a placid look and directly turned around to go back to his room.
"If you don’t tell , I won’t be able to sleep." Sheng Ning’an called out behind him.
Sheng Yeli: "Then don’t sleep."

She’s no longer his favorite niece.
"So, she’s really not a girlfriend?"
Once back in her room, Sheng Ning’an imdiately ssaged Tang Dou to share intel.
"Young Uncle already said no, so I guess it’s not." Knowing Young Uncle’s nature, if it is, it’s yes; if it isn’t, it’s no. He despises lying.
"Alright, maybe I really misunderstood." Going to a hotel doesn’t necessarily an it’s for that sort of thing.
Sheng Ning’an actually felt that Young Uncle’s nature wouldn’t lead him to directly bring a girl to a hotel.
If he really had soone to marry, he would probably bring her ho first.
"But I’m quite curious. Young Uncle is usually quite indifferent to girls; why would he go to a hotel with one?" Even if they’re not romantically involved, the other’s identity is intriguing.
Unfortunately, Young Uncle wouldn’t reveal a single word.
"Oh, by the way, I accidentally exposed you during my confrontation with Young Uncle just now." Sheng Ning’an wasn’t worried Young Uncle would do anything to Tang Dou but felt it was necessary to at least say sothing.
Tang Dou, thinking of that man, couldn’t help but feel a chill from her heart, but quickly composed herself ntally and said, "It’s okay; after all, I won’t run into Young Uncle. Even if he knows, it doesn’t matter. He won’t storm the school looking to settle accounts with , right?"
Besides, she was stating the facts; it wasn’t fabricated from thin air.
Even if he ca looking for her, she wouldn’t be afraid.
But when that certain soone was really standing in front of her, she still couldn’t help feeling guilty and weak-kneed.
