Ning An was looking at the progress pictures of Weiran’s new house decoration that the designer had just sent, without even lifting his head.
Shi Yue’s fragile and sensitive nerve was touched again.
Not wanting to be laughed at by others, especially by Ning An, Shi Yue squeezed out a smile and pretended to be shy, "No, it’s not what you think, don’t guess anymore!"
While she said no, her expression clearly looked like she was embarrassed after having been guessed correctly by everyone.
It seed like a denial, but it was more like an admission.
Tian Yu and the others subconsciously thought that Zhou Xian was pursuing Shi Yue, probably because Shi Yue had not yet agreed, hence her denial.
Everyone had only t Zhou Xian twice, but just in terms of appearance, he had surpassed ninety percent of people, making him a great candidate for romance.
Moreover, he was from Jing University.
Although their relationship with Shi Yue was slightly poorer compared to other dormitory roommates, and there were occasional frictions, if she really found a boyfriend with good conditions, they would be happy for her.
After eting Shi Yue, Zhou Xian sent a ssage to Xu Weiran.
"Sorry, the photo was taken by my roommate and was accidentally sent to soone else, I hope it didn’t cause any trouble between you two."
"Not at all!"
After replying to the ssage, Weiran heard Mother Xu calling him, "I just made so soup, you can take it to An’an if you’re free."
"You made it?"
The family had a housekeeper and Mr. Xu, and as far as Weiran could rember, he had never seen his mother cook.
Could the soup his mother made be drinkable?
Mother Xu glared at him and said, "What’s wrong with my cooking? Back when I was young, my soup-making skills were exceptional. Don’t believe , ask your dad?"
Mr. Xu seed to recall sothing and nodded, saying, "Your mom is right; her skills in making soup were indeed good. It’s just a pity that since we got married, I haven’t had the chance to taste the soup she made again."
Mr. Xu felt much better after two consecutive days of acupuncture, but the doctor suggested he still needed to rest in bed more.
The cooking at ho was hence left to the housekeeper.
Mother Xu was just struck by a whim, which is why she thought of making soup herself.
Although it had been many years since she had cooked, with the housekeeper’s help, the pot of soup she made looked quite good, and she thought of giving so to Ning An as well.
"Okay!" Weiran took the thermos with soup from his mother, "I’ll go and deliver it to her now."
"Also," Mother Xu stopped him, "your dad is fine, just focus on your work. The housekeeper and I are here; you don’t need to take leave to stay at ho, just spend more ti with An’an whenever you can."
"Okay, I will see to it," Weiran said as he carried the soup out the door.
"Why are you here?" Ning An ca down from the dorm after receiving Weiran’s call and imdiately noticed his car stopped in front of the dormitory.
"I was tasked to bring you soup," Weiran unscrewed the thermos and handed it to her, "Want to try it while it’s hot?"
"It slls so good," Ning An poured so out and asked while drinking, "Didn’t uncle hurt his back? Why did they let him cook?" Ning An initially thought the soup was made by Mr. Xu.
Weiran didn’t imdiately answer her query, but instead, asked, "How does it taste?"
Ning An gave a thumbs up, "Uncle’s cooking skills are naturally beyond reproach; the soup is delicious."
"As long as it’s tasty, but this isn’t made by my dad," Weiran said with a smile, "This was personally made by my mom. Ms. Xu steps into the kitchen once in a blue moon, and this was specially instructed to be delivered to you."
