Chapter 742: Chapter 742 [Extra] You Don’t Need to Comfort
Since it was the second day of the Lunar New Year, many stores were still not open.
Although they could order takeout, there were few options, but the supermarket at the entrance of the residential area was still open.
Sheng Ning’an then decided to try cooking at ho.
After all, the two of them couldn’t order takeout every day.
It was Sheng Ning’an’s first ti cooking, and he was full of confidence, so he imdiately chased Xu Weiran out.
The other had injured his hand and couldn’t be of much help if he stayed.
Xu Weiran was sowhat worried, “If it really doesn’t work out, we might as well order takeout!”
“No need, I’m sure I can do it,” Sheng Ning’an refused.
Sure enough, it wasn’t long before there were sounds of dishes breaking and the clattering of the spatula and lid falling to the floor from the kitchen.
Xu Weiran was sowhat worried about his kitchen.
Unable to resist, he walked to the doorway and said, “If it’s too much, I should do it!” Although one of his hands was injured, he felt he might still be better than her with both hands.
“No need, I told you I can handle it. Trust ,” Sheng Ning’an ca over with a spatula to push him away, “Alright, don’t stand here, you make nervous. Why don’t you go sit in the living room and watch so TV? I’ll call you when it’s ready.”
Seeing her insistence, Xu Weiran could only go to the living room, but his ears stayed tuned to the direction of the kitchen.
Noises from the kitchen ca intermittently.
Cooking the al was like fighting a battle.
After bustling around for over an hour, Sheng Ning’an finally ca out with two dishes.
One braised pork and one tomato scrambled eggs.
The braised pork looked a bit chunky and was slightly burnt.
The tomatoes were cut unevenly, and the scrambled eggs looked a bit odd too.
Sheng Ning’an placed the two dishes in front of Xu Weiran, looking at him expectantly, “Do you want to try?”
She had followed online tutorials step by step to make these dishes. Although the timing and heat might not have been precise, the taste shouldn’t be too bad.
Xu Weiran first tried the tomato scrambled eggs, but as soon as he reached out with his chopsticks, he found a large piece of eggshell.
Sheng Ning’an saw it too, and her expression stiffened. The enthusiasm she had just a mont ago turned into disappointnt, “Forget it, don’t eat it!” she said, ready to throw it away.
But Xu Weiran stopped her, “It’s okay, just pick it out.” After saying that, he removed the eggshell with his chopsticks and then took a new bite.
After tasting it, he smiled at Sheng Ning’an, “It actually tastes pretty good!”
“You don’t have to comfort ,” Sheng Ning’an’s confidence had taken a huge hit from the eggshell incident.
It seed she really wasn’t cut out for cooking.
“I’m not comforting you; try it yourself if you don’t believe ,” Xu Weiran smiled encouragingly.
“Are you serious?” Sheng Ning’an looked at him, half-believing.
“Of course!” Xu Weiran nodded affirmatively.
Sheng Ning’an then picked up her chopsticks and after tasting it herself, her eyes lit up, “It actually isn’t that bad, it seems I do have so knack for this.”
Although it wasn’t very delicious, it wasn’t bad either.
For her first ti cooking, that was acceptable.
Sheng Ning’an imdiately passed the plate of braised pork to Xu Weiran, urging him, “Try this one too?”
Xu Weiran smiled and took a bite, nodding, “It’s alright too, just the heat was a bit high. Rember to simr it on low heat next ti, it should taste better.”
“Okay, I’ll make it again for you tomorrow,” Sheng Ning’an said eagerly.
Xu Weiran’s smile stiffened almost imperceptibly for a mont, but quickly returned to normal, and he casually said, “I rember that one should eat light food with less fat and sugar in the early stages of a fracture, so maybe we can wait a bit longer to make this again.”
“All right then!” Sheng Ning’an nodded sowhat regretfully.
Xu Weiran silently breathed a sigh of relief, feeling it was probably better to keep her out of the kitchen in the future.
