Chapter 720: Chapter 720 [Extra] Because It Would Make You Unhappy
After getting into the car, Sheng Ning’an kept staring at Xu Weiran.
“What’s the matter?” Xu Weiran turned around and glanced at her.
Sheng Ning’an asked, “Didn’t you say that uncle and auntie missed ?” She had specifically co to see the elders, yet before even eting them, why was he in such a hurry to take her away?
Upon hearing this, Xu Weiran smiled and said, “Alright, actually, I wanted to see you. But I didn’t lie to you, my parents really do miss you. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have gone to the seafood market to shop as soon as they heard you were coming. They should be back a little later. I want to take you to a place first.”
The car drove into the apartnt complex where he was renting a place.
Sheng Ning’an originally thought he intended to bring her back to the place he rented, but instead, he parked the car in front of another building.
“Why have you brought here?” Sheng Ning’an asked, puzzled, looking at him.
Could it be that he was bringing her to et a friend?
“You’ll know once we go up,” said Xu Weiran.
Sheng Ning’an found his mysterious ways intriguing but still followed him into the elevator.
The elevator stopped on the sixth floor.
Xu Weiran stepped out of the elevator and stopped in front of an apartnt, then turned and said to Sheng Ning’an who was still standing at the elevator entrance, dazed, “Co here.”
Sheng Ning’an approached, still puzzled.
Just then, the apartnt door opened from the inside, and soone walked out. Upon seeing them, the person greeted, “Mr. Xu, you’ve arrived!”
Sheng Ning’an recognized the person, wasn’t it the real estate agent who helped Xu Weiran find his rental before?
Sheng Ning’an looked at Xu Weiran, confused.
What was this guy playing at?
Xu Weiran took Sheng Ning’an’s hand and led her inside, then turned to her and asked, “What do you think of this place?”
“What do you an, ‘what do I think’?” Sheng Ning’an was baffled.
Hearing this, the agent next to them smiled and said, “Here’s the thing, Mr. Xu ntioned before that he was thinking about buying a house. As it happens, there’s a hoowner here who wishes to sell, so I contacted Mr. Xu right away. You both know how the environnt here is, close to the school, and with convenient access to transportation and living facilities. The most important part is that the layout of the house is also very good, with three bedrooms, two living rooms, and two bathrooms, and all three room’s windows facing south. The price is a bit high, but if you two are interested, I can discuss it further with the hoowner.”
“Honestly, it’s quite difficult to find a house with such a layout in this area. If this property were put on the market, a lot of custors would be fighting over it. I am contacting Mr. Xu first because of our past cooperation. If you two are interested, you could finalize the deal before the New Year, start renovations after, and move in a few months later. Personally, I think it’s a great option. What do you both think?”
“Why are we suddenly looking to buy a house?” Sheng Ning’an turned to Xu Weiran and asked, “Wasn’t the place you were living in quite good?” Although he had ntioned wanting to buy a house before, Sheng Ning’an had looked at quite a few properties and never found the right one. Plus, after the place he was renting had been redecorated, it looked pretty good, and he seed comfortable there, so Sheng Ning’an had put the idea of buying a house out of her mind.
She hadn’t expected him to bring up the topic again, let alone bring her directly to view a house.
Xu Weiran glanced at her and said, “Because it would make you unhappy.”
“Who said I am unhappy? Why would I be unhappy?” Sheng Ning’an asked, only to have a sudden realization halfway through her words.
He must be referring to the two girls living across the hall.
So, it was because of her that he was eager to buy a place?
