Xu Weiran waited until almost everyone had left before walking towards Ning An.
“Mr. Xu, do you mind signing one for too?”
Ning An took out the notebook that the girl in the front row had entrusted to her.
Xu Weiran took the notebook from her hands and, seizing the mont, held her hand saying, “I’ll sign it for you when we get back, and you can have as many as you want!”
Ning An: “I’m afraid that won’t do!”
Seeing Xu Weiran looking at her puzzled, Ning An pointed at the girl in front of them and said, “Because the notebook in your hands belongs to soone else.”
Following her gaze, Xu Weiran saw the girl beside them looking at them with sparkling eyes, her expression one of excitent.
As Xu Weiran turned her way, as if suddenly realizing sothing, she hastily put on a smile and said, “Mr. Xu, could you please sign this for ?” then pointed at the notebook in his hands.
“Of course!” Xu Weiran bowed his head, signed his na on the notebook, and then handed it back to her.
“Thank you!”
The girl took the notebook as if it was a treasure, then sothing ca to her mind and she lifted her head again, looking intently at Ning An and Xu Weiran saying, “You two are the most perfect couple I’ve ever seen, you must stay together forever!”
“Thank you, we will!” Xu Weiran looked at Ning An and replied with a smile.
The girl left cheerfully.
Ning An raised an eyebrow at Xu Weiran and said, “Mr. Xu is quite popular! I just heard many girls praising how handso you are, tell Mr. Xu, what do you think about that?”
“Is the girlfriend jealous?” Xu Weiran asked with a smile.
“How could that be?” Ning An instinctively retorted, “Am I such a petty person?”
“Then, how do you think I did today?” Xu Weiran continued to ask.
“It was great!” Ning An gave him a thumbs up, “The lecture was exciting, and yes, my boyfriend was indeed very handso today!”
“Only today?” Xu Weiran teased the girl in front of him.
Ning An: “Of course not, my boyfriend is handso every day!”
Only then was Xu Weiran satisfied, holding her hand he said, “Then, does the girlfriend want to escort her handso-every-day boyfriend?”
Ning An ruthlessly refused, “No, I still have classes later, so you’ll have to go back by yourself.”
Xu Weiran raised an eyebrow, “Is this a case of use-and-throw? Have you forgotten who it was for that I ca to give this lecture?”
Ning An tugged at his hand, coaxing softly, “Co on, I really have classes, how about I spend next weekend with you instead?”
Xu Weiran: “Not so good!”
Before Ning An could speak, he continued, “This weekend I have to attend a seminar and might only be back by Monday next week.”
“You’re going on a trip? Where to? Can I co along?” Ning An asked.
“You want to join ?” Xu Weiran looked at her in surprise.
Ning An: “Can’t I?”
“Not that, but I’ll be in etings all day and might not have ti to spend with you,” Xu Weiran explained.
“That’s okay, I’m not a child who needs soone to accompany them. You go to your etings, and I’ll just explore nearby, I promise not to bother you.”
“Okay then, send your ID number later, and I’ll book the tickets for you!”
“You agree?”
Xu Weiran smiled and said, “My girlfriend has offered to accompany on a trip, how could I refuse such a wonderful proposal?”
