That evening, she still dragged her deskmate out for a run.
After a period of exercise, her deskmate had progressed from barely managing half a lap to now being able to keep up with Sheng Ning’an for more than half a lap, although still exhausted afterward, lying there like a dead dog.

Sheng Ning’an believed that with continued perseverance, running a full lap would soon be no problem.

Her deskmate pleaded, “I don’t want to give up. Can’t I just rest for one day?” She didn’t know why she had impulsively decided to lose weight, making herself tired every day.
Sheng Ning’an said, “You’ve asked to push you, and you’ve just managed to break through your body’s limits. You should persist even more. Don’t worry, after you keep at it for a while longer, and your body fully adapts to the current exercise intensity, you won’t feel as tired as you do now. Besides, you haven’t weighed yourself recently, have you? I think you must have lost quite a bit of weight.”
“Really?” Her spirits lifted instantly upon hearing she might have lost weight.
She was so exhausted after running each day that she didn’t want to move. After taking a bath, all she wanted was to lie down in bed, and in the mornings, she rushed to school without ti to check her weight.
Sheng Ning’an suggested, “I rember there is a scale in the school clinic. If you don’t believe , I can go with you to weigh yourself at noon.”
“Sure!” Her deskmate agreed, excitedly.
At this mont, she couldn’t wait to find out if she had actually lost any weight over this period.
The school clinic was located on the west side of the teaching building, close to the sports field.
After lunch, her deskmate couldn’t wait to drag Sheng Ning’an along to the school clinic.
After weighing herself, she found she had indeed lost weight—five whole pounds. At this rate, if she could keep it up for two more months, losing over ten pounds wouldn’t be a problem; if she persisted for a year, wouldn’t she beco as slim as An’an?
She was instantly energized, no longer talking about resting.
On the way back to the classroom from the clinic, they ran headlong into a group that appeared to be heading to the sports field to play ball.
The one in the lead was Chen Zhe.
The mont her deskmate saw him, she couldn’t help but curl her lip, saying, “What bad luck!” So people look respectable, but their actions are anything but.
She already knew about Chen Zhe following that girl, trying to get revenge.
It was all because he couldn’t take a hint when his advances were rejected, and even after being spurned, he had the nerve to think of stalking her for revenge, not in the least bit manly.
Thankfully, Ning An was vigilant and didn’t fall victim to his plans. If so other girl had been in her place, wouldn’t she have been in trouble?

Chen Zhe, on the other hand, had also noticed Sheng Ning’an and her deskmate. Seeing that girl reminded him of that night’s events, and his eyes imdiately darkened.
He had never been so humiliated in his life, not to ntion being brought into a police station.
