Chapter 461: Chapter 461: The Thought Alone is Exciting
Sheng Chuyi returned to Jing University after being away on a business trip for five days.
The morning classes ended, and a crowd erged from the classroom, among them was Shen Zhaozhao, discussing with Song Ning and others whether or not to go to the fifth cafeteria to have hotpot for lunch.
A familiar figure unexpectedly appeared in her field of vision.
The mont Shen Zhaozhao saw Sheng Chuyi, her eyes lit up instantly, and she imdiately ran toward him.
“When did you get back?” Even just before class ended, the two had been ssaging, yet he hadn’t told her.
When Sheng Chuyi saw her, a smile surfaced on his usually cold face, and he naturally took the books from her hand, saying, “Just now, I saw you were about to finish class, so I ca straight here to pick you up!”
“Then why didn’t you tell in advance? I thought you were coming back in a couple of days.”
“Isn’t it to give you a surprise?” Sheng Chuyi took her hand and said, “Let’s go eat, what do you want to eat?”
Shen Zhaozhao: “We just agreed to go eat hotpot together.”
“Then let’s go!”
Shen Zhaozhao turned to look at Song Ning and the other two.
Seeing her glance their way, the three imdiately waved their hands and said, “Don’t mind us, we won’t join you.”
“Yes, yes, yes, we won’t be the third wheel. The two of you go ahead.”
The couple had been apart, and now a reunion was like a second honeymoon; they would surely be loving and affectionate. How insensitive would they have to be to forgo a proper al and trail along to feed on dog food?
“Okay, then I’ll bring back sothing to drink for you guys later,” Shen Zhaozhao said, and then turned around, pulling Sheng Chuyi by the hand and leaving.
The two first went to the cafeteria for a al and then returned to their rented apartnt.
Sheng Chuyi hadn’t been there, so Shen Zhaozhao had been staying at the dorm these past few days.
Upon entering, she saw Sheng Chuyi’s luggage at the entrance, clearly he had dropped his luggage and rushed out of the school to et her after class.
The apartnt had not been lived in for several days and inevitably needed to be cleaned up.
Sheng Chuyi went to the bedroom to arrange the clothes from his luggage, while Shen Zhaozhao went to the balcony to open the windows for ventilation, and filled the floor washer with water to start mopping.
This was sothing she had taken a liking to during her last visit to the ho goods market; the salesperson’s extravagant praise had captivated her on the spot. Since it wasn’t needed in their new ho just yet, she bought one for their current place.
And indeed, it was quite useful—sweeping and mopping in one go, no need to sweep and then mop separately like before.
Plus, it was easy to clean, particularly suitable for soone as lazy as her.
The only inconvenience was probably the need for soone to hold it.
She decided that at their new house she’d get a robotic vacuum cleaner, which would be even less effort than this one.
Indeed, technology liberates hands.
“What are you thinking about?” Sheng Chuyi ca out of the room to see the girl holding the floor washer, eyes vacant, lost in thought.
Shen Zhaozhao regained her focus and said, “I was just thinking how nice it would be if there could be an all-in-one nanny robot, just like in those sci-fi movies. They could help sweep, mop, do laundry, cook, wash dishes, tidy up the house, and even help take care of children, tutor howork, and look after the family. Then I could just lie down and do nothing when I co ho every day, just thinking about it is wonderful.”
Sheng Chuyi chuckled softly, this was indeed like sothing she would think of.
“What are you laughing at? Am I not allowed to dream a little?” Shen Zhaozhao said, displeased.
Sheng Chuyi held back his laughter, trying to keep his face straight as he said, “I’m not laughing at you. Moreover, what you’re talking about, the all-in-one nanny robot, it’s always in developnt, and it might be possible in the future. Currently, there are related products on the market overseas, but the functions are not as developed, they can only perform so simple household chores, and they’re also very expensive.”
