Chapter 438: Chapter 428: The Damn Competitive Desire of n
After the class, I ca out to see Mrs. Xie standing in the living room.
She greeted indifferently, “Teacher Shen, this is from a client, take it back to eat!” I saw a set of pastries on the table in front of her. The packaging looked exquisite, and I had tried this brand before – it wasn’t cheap.
Shen Zhaozhao was a bit overwheld, “You’re too kind!”
“There’s no need to be polite with . That boy will still need your help. I’ve hired many tutors for him, and you’re the first one he actively asked to keep. It’s clear he likes you a lot.”
I didn’t really know how to respond to that.
“Don’t be nervous, I don’t an anything by it,” she said, watching . “I know my son well, he’s not easily impressed. Since he took the initiative to ask you for tutoring, there must be sothing about you that he respects. Don’t worry, we won’t interfere with your teaching thods, but we do hope you’ll put in extra effort. With his current grades, he’s afraid he won’t even get into a decent university. His father and I don’t have high demands, but at the very least, he should get a college degree.”
I wasn’t sure if their expectations were high or not, but considering his understanding, if he really decided to buckle down and study, it certainly wasn’t impossible.
Shen Zhaozhao promised, “Rest assured, as long as he’s willing to learn, I will definitely teach him well.”
Mrs. Xie placed the box of pastries in my hand, “Then I’ll leave it to you from now on!”
With only four lessons a week, the actual amount learned was quite limited. In order to help Xie Yu improve as quickly as possible, Shen Zhaozhao had no choice but to put in the effort to create a specialized review and enhancent plan for him.
Seeing her return and imdiately shut herself in her room, Sheng Chuyi took the chance to bring her so juice and glanced over, surprised to see her actually making a tutoring plan. He couldn’t help but secretly exclaim, “It seems you really care about this student.”
Back in the day, she probably hadn’t even put this much effort into her own studies.
Shen Zhaozhao nodded, “Of course, I take my tutoring seriously. Either I don’t do it at all, or I do it well.” After all, she was being paid for it.
Fortunately, her effort was not in vain; a month later, Xie Yu’s grades had improved trendously in the monthly test.
Especially in mathematics, it was as if he suddenly had an epiphany. Normally, the best he could do was seventy or eighty points, but this ti he actually scored a hundred and twenty.
And that was just after one month of tutoring. If he could keep going, scoring a hundred and thirty or a hundred and forty wasn’t out of the question.
“How about that? I told you I hadn’t been taking the tests seriously before. If I really put in the effort, nobody else stands a chance,” Xie Yu ssaged Shen Zhaozhao with a smug face upon getting his paper.
Shen Zhaozhao: “You’re satisfied with just a hundred and twenty? When my boyfriend takes exams, he almost always scores full marks in math.”
Xie Yu: …
Xie Yu: “You said before that if I showed improvent in my exams, you’d introduce your boyfriend to , is that still a promise?” He really wanted to see if her boyfriend was as impressive as she claid.
“Of course! After class on Saturday, I’ll take you to et the master.”
On the other hand, after hearing about his grades, Xie Yu’s mother made a special call to thank Shen Zhaozhao.
“The reason he did so well this ti is all thanks to you.”
“Well, you’re giving too much credit. Actually, my ability is just average; it’s all because he’s willing to learn.”
Shen Zhaozhao knew in her heart that the main reason for that boy’s improved grades wasn’t her tutoring, but the damn competitive desires of a teenage boy.
