Work experience and opportunity are almost equally important, and sotis opportunity is even more vital. Most people don’t lack experience and ability; what they really need is just a chance to prove themselves.

The three years of work experience on a resu sotis don’t shine as brightly as having single-handedly completed a project, which directly demonstrates a person’s capabilities.

Jiang Lingling understood clearly what this entailed. If this series were to be established and then handed over to her to complete, even if she didn’t get a promotion or raise, the benefits she would receive were substantial—perhaps the biggest gain was the experience itself.

Even if she left this company, taking this experience of having worked on a successful project to her next job could considerably elevate her standing.

After confirming repeatedly, Jiang Lingling found that Qin Guanglin genuinely didn’t care about this matter and suddenly found herself at a loss for words.

Initially, she had only intended to be an assistant to help him with this project, so she had hurriedly drawn half of the second issue, hoping to at least be a participant. Although it wouldn’t add much prestige, it still looked better on her work history. Now, shifting from a participant to the person in charge was an unexpectedly huge surprise.

"Thank you, boss!"

"Hurry up and do it. Who knows, the popularity might die down, and everything about the series could be spoiled," Qin Guanglin didn’t realize her complex thoughts. It was just a broken comic after all, even if it was hot, it wouldn’t be as solid as winning a prize with a Dragon Boat Festival drawing.

Ah, he had almost forgotten about that; he needed to think it over properly.

Suddenly rembering the Dragon Boat Festival submission, he pondered for a mont, put aside the story he was working on, and began drawing the four-panel comic.

Well, work hours should be spent doing proper work first, then carving out ti for personal matters.

He finished a day’s work in the morning and focused on thinking about the Dragon Boat submission in the afternoon. Life as an intern boss was plain and tedious.

"Boss, can I make changes like this?"

Qin Guanglin slightly frowned upon hearing her voice. Jiang Lingling was much more enthusiastic than usual, consulting him about every darn thing.

It was a bit annoying.

"Creation should be more independent. You need to think and try on your own; the best growth cos from finding your own shortcomings, especially in drawing. Adding a mole or a few extra lines is a matter of style, not technique, and everyone’s style is different. You need to find what suits you best; I can’t teach that," he thought for a mont and did not answer her question but turned and told her instead.

"Oh, then..."

Jiang Lingling nodded, was about to speak again but saw him turn back to his own thoughts. Disappointed, she closed her mouth and sat back down, unable to help but turn her head to look at him again.

He must be thinking about sothing important, looking so serious...

The day quickly went by. Qin Guanglin tidied up the waste paper on his desk, threw it in the bin, straightened up his desk, and prepared to leave work.

He had to cook when he got back, wondering when he would ever beco as good as Teacher He... His aunt hadn’t left yet, which he found annoying.

"Boss, do you have plans tonight? I’d like to treat you to dinner!" Jiang Lingling didn’t leave work after packing up but walked over to extend the invitation to Qin Guanglin.

"No need, I still have things to do," Qin Guanglin knew she wanted to thank him and declined without even looking up.

"Alright, maybe so other ti."

"There’s no need, you should head off."

Jiang Lingling didn’t mind, waved goodbye, and headed out of the office.

Sun Wen packed up and ca over to wait for him to go down together, "How’s it going?"

"What do you an, ’how’s it going’?" Qin Guanglin sized him up, seeing his lively appearance couldn’t help but smile, "Made up with your girlfriend?"

"Hey, we made up a long ti ago," Sun Wen clicked his tongue, "Not only did we make up, but we also had another fight and then made up again."

"..."

Qin Guanglin was speechless; it had only been five days, and they’d gone through it all again. What a ss.

"Enjoyed your trip this ti?" Sun Wen grinned mischievously, "Went away for five days and didn’t even want to co back."

"Just like that, walking around everywhere, I was exhausted."

"n shouldn’t say they’re tired." Sun Wen said aningfully, patting him on the shoulder, "You should join for so workouts when you have ti, it’s better than anything."

"Get outta here, I’m telling you, I was exhausted from hiking." Qin Guanglin realized his expression and cursed jokingly, the guy was never serious.

"I was talking about hiking too."

"I’m not talking to you anymore, I’m leaving!"

After riding the bus back ho, Little Fatty was squatting at the doorstep again, slurping noodles from a big bowl; I don’t know why his family loves noodles so much.

"Brother Lin!"

It seed like he was specifically waiting for him, as soon as he saw him, Little Fatty stood up and shouted, "Big Black Charcoal won a prize!"

"Oh?" Qin Guanglin was a bit surprised; the weird Transforr-like cat actually managed to win a prize, "What place did it get?"

"Second place!" Little Fatty looked sowhat dissatisfied, "Otherwise, it definitely would have been first place, but it was stolen by a female cat."

"Female cat?"

What kind of bizarre breed was that?

"Yeah, just so female cat stole the first place." Little Fatty said as he ran towards his house, "Wait here, I’ll get you the certificate."

"You keep it yourself." Qin Guanglin didn’t care about his elentary school certificates.

Female cat... Could it be a Catwoman? Or a mother cat?

Sheesh, that would certainly look better than a Transforr cat, no wonder it took first place.

When he got ho, as expected, Qin’s Mom and his aunt were sitting on the couch, cracking sunflower seeds and watching television.

"Guanglin’s back?" his aunt called out.

"Yeah."

"The ingredients are in the kitchen, go wash up and start cooking." Qin’s Mom was determined to have him learn more and practice more, to master the skills sooner.

After all, learning had no downsides, and it would make things easier for herself too.

"Okay."

Qin Guanglin perked up and went over to the fridge to rummage through, "Are there any chili peppers? I think adding two would make it tastier."

"There are dried chili peppers in the kitchen, but use less."

"Umm... aren’t you going to help?" his aunt reminded her.

"No need to help, he needs to figure it out on his own to learn faster." Qin’s Mom was full of confidence in her son, "Back when I was a kid, the adults would go up the mountain to work and I was left alone at ho to cook. I wasn’t even one ter tall yet, I had to stand on a stool to reach the pot."

She gestured with her hands, proudly reminiscing with his aunt, "This tall, I could have easily fallen in accidentally. Ah, how tough it was back then; no one helped , but I still learned how to cook. This is sothing you just need to be willing to learn, whether you’re taught or not."

"Hehe... haha." His aunt responded noncommittally, then thought for a mont before she couldn’t help but stand up and say, "I’ll go show him a thing or two."

"No, just sit down and watch TV." Qin’s Mom pulled her back down, "There’s nothing much to teach about stir-frying, just add salt and MSG and it’s done. Let him do it himself; otherwise, he’ll never rember how much to add."

What is this weird obsession? When people don’t bother you, why do you insist on mingling?

Qin’s Mom secretly rolled her eyes and pulled her sister-in-law back to her seat, "Just sit tight and wait for dinner."
