"Scumbags!"

Sun Wen scrolled through his social dia feed and stumbled upon a newly posted picture by Qin Guanglin, furiously typing three words as a comnt.

After leaving the comnt, he stared at the photo for a while before suddenly going back to the ho screen and opening his chat app, scrolling through his monts.

He stopped at a photo from July 2013.

Two people holding hands, two movie tickets, the sa setup. Sun Wen took a deep breath, looked up, and chuckled.

In a month, his girlfriend would be married.

Ti flies.

He pondered quietly for a mont, then swept across the screen and started deleting monts from his social dia—posts and photos, anything related to them both—he cleared it all out. Then he opened up the battered laptop on his desk and began sifting through his files.

An hour later, he looked at the screen displaying a selection of a dozen or so photos, smiled gently, and dragged the mouse to copy them to his USB drive. He then unplugged the USB and turned to go downstairs.

...

"Hehehe."

Xiao Yu sat by the riverbank, fishing rod propped at his side, looking at Qin Guanglin’s photo on his phone and also saw Sun Wen’s comnt. He couldn’t help but laugh.

Back then, he had watched Qin Guanglin and Sun Wen show off, and now it was his turn.

It was satisfying.

Satisfying as it was, he still felt the need to curse.

"Scumbags!"

He sent the sa three words, aligning his comnt with Sun Wen’s, while Zhou Nan looked on, frowning, "What are you laughing at like an idiot?"

"Oh, nothing." Xiao Yu smiled and moved his phone closer to her face to show her Qin Guanglin’s photo, then suggested, "Why don’t we go watch a movie too?"

"Who’s this Lin?"

"A friend, you don’t know her."

"Oh."

Zhou Nan turned and glanced at the motionless fishing rods that had been quiet for more than two hours, stood up with a pout, and said, "We should have gone to do sothing else a long ti ago. Fishing for what... You bought that fish last ti, didn’t you?"

"What do you an bought? I worked hard to catch it!"

"Tch."

"You don’t believe ?" This challenge ignited Xiao Yu’s temper, and he sat back down on the stool, rolling up his sleeves.

"Wait and see! Today I definitely have to catch one to show you!"

...

"How about it? Does it feel any different watching it a second ti?"

The instigator, Qin Guanglin, led He Fang out of the theater with the dispersing crowd and asked her with a sideways glance.

"What feeling could it possibly give? I’ve watched it so many tis I’ve lost count."

He Fang felt at ease. The first and second tis, or even the fourth and fifth tis, might have brought a twinge of sadness, but by the seventh or eighth, there were hardly any ripples left in her emotions.

Moreover, a movie is just fiction; she had lived through the real thing.

"So you’ve seen it many tis too... It’s a pity that classics are becoming so rare. There’s nothing left to do but rewatch old films." Qin Guanglin looked back at the cinema hall with regret. To a movie lover, the dwindling number of good films was like a reader facing a drought of good books.

Riding the escalator downstairs, the outside sky had already dimd a bit, approaching dinner ti. The vegetarian restaurant He Fang had chosen was not very crowded.

Nowadays, few people liked to eat strictly vegetarian. Most only ca to try it occasionally, so naturally, the business wasn’t booming.

The restaurant’s interior was simple and clean, with wooden tables and chairs, giving off an antique vibe along with the soft music playing in the background—reminiscent of chanting, not too loud, it involuntarily relaxed the mind and quieted the heart.

Qin Guanglin and He Fang sat in the corner and ordered their food. The owner greeted them before turning with the nu to slip into the kitchen. Monts later, she ca out and settled at the bar, waiting for the next table of guests.

"Hey, look, soone’s sour, hahaha."

"Immature much?"

He Fang rolled her eyes at him, looking at the row of comnts in her social dia friend circle, feeling too powerless to mock.

What terrible taste.

"You don’t get it," Qin Guanglin was as delighted as a dog’s tail wagging, nearly married, it was ti to show off his girlfriend to that bunch of friends. Let them know such a person existed so next year when he got married, it wouldn’t be a surprise: Eh, how did this guy get married without making a sound?

Well, feeding the dogs was incidental, the important thing was to share the joy with close friends and family—

As he scrolled, Qin Guanglin’s fingers paused. What business did Xiao Yu have joining in the fuss?

"Where’s your girlfriend?" he texted Xiao Yu.

Xiao Yu: "She’s with fishing."

Qin Guanglin: "Fishing in the middle of the night?"

Xiao Yu: "I have to show off my strength."

Qin Guanglin: "Since when did you have any strength?"

Xiao Yu didn’t reply. Qin Guanglin put away his phone and looked at He Fang, "Do you like fishing?"

The idea of fishing with his girlfriend like Xiao Yu was doing seed quite appealing, and he felt a bit eager to try.

"Not really."

"Oh..."

"Sister He!"

A voice full of surprise rang out, and Qin Guanglin turned his head, the girl who he nearly mistook for a man once, was standing at the door and joyfully greeting He Fang.

"Xiaoqing?" He Fang was also a bit surprised, "Are you here to eat?" She glanced at Gu Xiaoqing who was alone, hesitated, and then invited, "By yourself? Co over and join us."

As they grew more familiar, her impression of Gu Xiaoqing had beco quite positive, she felt like another version of herself... or more like a sister, sotis sharing fresh news on Weixun too.

"Ah..."

Gu Xiaoqing hesitated at seeing Qin Guanglin seated so robustly, "...Is it okay?"

"Of course, co sit." He Fang scooted over to make room and beckoned Gu Xiaoqing, saying, "This is Xiaoqing, the one you’ve seen before, had dinner with after the signing event... This is my boyfriend, Qin Guanglin."

"Hello."

"Hello."

Qin Guanglin nodded politely, and the restaurant owner moved quickly, coming over with the nu to add dishes for everyone.

"How did you end up here... out shopping by yourself?"

After ordering, He Fang seed to forget about her boyfriend for a mont and eagerly struck up a conversation with Gu Xiaoqing, holding her hand.

"Yeah, I ca to see ’A Chinese Odyssey’... After watching it, I wanted to have dinner and didn’t expect to bump into Sister He!" Gu Xiaoqing looked very happy.

A day spent freely shopping, watching a movie, and eating alone, and then unexpectedly eting He Fang at the end, it really was a delightful surprise.

He Fang was even more delighted and pulled out her ticket stub, saying, "We just watched it too... which theater were you in?"

"The sa one as you... Ah, we watched the sa screening!"

Qin Guanglin silently watched the two chat animatedly, feeling a sense of abandonnt with his phone in hand.

Empty, lonely, cold.

To think that He Fang could run into a fan just by going for a stroll, she really did seem to have a bit of fa...

"Ah? It’s him?" Gu Xiaoqing covered her mouth in shock, looking at Qin Guanglin in disbelief.

"What?" Qin Guanglin was confused, having spaced out and not caught what the two were discussing.

"She’s a big fan of your public account," He Fang explained from the side.

"Uh... Thanks."

Qin Guanglin felt awkward. This person was his fan?

He had fans too?!
