The red boat drifted to the center of the lake, then slowly floated to the other side. A large school of fish was drawn to it, following behind in the water.

The sight caught the attention of people on the shore, who then walked towards the dock, wanting to try this seemingly dull leisure activity.

Surprisingly, it was quite interesting.

"I saw your post about looking for a job?" He Fang asked while sprinkling fish food, inquiring about Qin Guanglin's work.

"Yeah, just looking for now."

Qin Guanglin nodded. "I used to get by with freelance writing, never really thought about a job. I don't know when I'll find sothing suitable."

"Why so early?"

"Early?" Qin Guanglin didn't understand what she ant.

"Hmm..." He Fang hesitated a bit before saying slowly, "I think you're doing well as you are. Gain more experience first and consider a job in a couple of years. No rush."

"A job helps gain experience better," Qin Guanglin thought her view was different from others. Getting a job sooner was better. "Freelance work only feeds you if you beco famous, which isn't easy. It's best to find a legitimate job."

He Fang frowned slightly, contemplating sothing unknown, and spoke after a while, "Anyway, I think you don't need to rush. For now, you only need to support yourself."

"Prepare now, don't panic later." Qin Guanglin saw her fish food bag was almost empty, so he opened another and handed it to her. "You were already taking certification exams before graduation. That's really rushing things."

"Alright." He Fang sighed, then instantly beca cheerful again, putting the fish food aside and telling him, "Stop pedaling; let's drift here for a while. Close your eyes."

"Why close my eyes?" Qin Guanglin suspiciously looked at her, stopping his movent.

"What do you want to do?" He Fang squinted with a smile, "I can fulfill your wish."

Qin Guanglin was conflicted. He thought He Fang must have so sche and refused to fall into her trap.

After pondering for a while, he just closed his eyes, showing a don't-care attitude, "Do whatever you want."

"Really?" He Fang leaned close to Qin Guanglin and whispered, her breath tickling his face.

Qin Guanglin leaned back slightly, with a hint of tremor in his voice, "Go ahead, I'm ready."

"Then keep your eyes closed."

Qin Guanglin couldn't help but swallow. He felt He Fang was almost in front of him, feeling very nervous about what was about to happen.

Ti ticked by. He grew more and more puzzled. Why hadn't He Fang started yet?

"Okay, open your eyes."

Was that it? Had it ended before it even began?

Qin Guanglin opened his eyes in astonishnt, and what ca into view was a delicate birthday cake, with his na written on it.

"Ta-da!" He Fang shook the cake in front of him. "Surprised? Unexpected?"

"How did you know it's my birthday today?" Qin Guanglin widened his eyes, very amazed. He hadn't told He Fang, planning to inform her after the outing was over.

"Teacher He has divine foresight. Just a pinch, and I know your birthday." He Fang proudly shook her little head, placing the cake in the middle of the boat.

"Make a wish." She smiled at Qin Guanglin, "What I just said is still valid. I'll fulfill any wish for you."

"Anything, you know." He Fang lowered her voice enticingly.

"Then you close your eyes." Qin Guanglin decided to counterattack. She had secretly kissed him several tis; he needed to kiss her back.

"Okay." He Fang agreed and straightforwardly closed her eyes.

Qin Guanglin leaned forward; it was his first ti admiring He Fang's small face up close.

To his surprise, her pink cheeks were still covered with fine, youthful hair, looking very elastic, making him want to pinch them.

Suppressing the urge to touch, he moved his gaze downward. He Fang's rosy, moist lips glistened with tempting luster, causing his heart to race uncontrollably, and his breath quickened.

Could he do anything?

Stay calm, be steady, win this.

Qin Guanglin held his breath, approached, and softly pecked her warm lips. The tingly sensation spread from where they touched, lingering after.

He hurriedly sat back, heart pounding furiously.

Stay composed... don't panic... he'd have to kiss like on TV for longer in the future.

He Fang slowly opened her eyes, "That's it?"

"Classmate Qin, I gave you a chance." She bent her eyes and smiled, "Rember, you didn't seize it."

Qin Guanglin stared wide-eyed at her. What did she an? Did she want him to do sothing even more outrageous?

"Why are you blushing again?" He Fang watched him with interest, "I was the one who got kissed."

"I... I'm hot." He looked around nervously, pretending to fan himself with his hand, "It's too hot."

"Alright, I won't tease you anymore." He Fang picked up a plastic serrated knife and cut down the middle of the cake, then slanted the knife to slice a corner, "Co, have so cake."

"My first ti..." Qin Guanglin mumbled quietly.

She put the cake on a small plastic plate, "What did you say?"

"My first ti kissing a girl!" He suddenly raised his voice, getting inexplicably agitated.

He Fang was startled, then couldn't help but chuckle, "Classmate Qin."

"What?"

"Do you know you're very cute?"

"..."

Qin Guanglin opened his mouth, but nothing ca out. He listlessly accepted the cake and took a big bite.

He Fang cut a slice for herself and began eating in small bites.

"Mr. Qin."

"Yeah?"

"My birthday has passed; what to do?"

"There's always next year."

"But it's another year away. I think it's unfair."

Qin Guanglin stopped eating cake and looked at her warily, "Why is it unfair?"

He sensed she was about to pull so trick.

"See, you get a wish today, and I have to wait until next year. So, technically, I permanently have one less wish than you." He Fang calculated this, counting on her fingers to show him.

"What do you an?" Qin Guanglin suddenly found the cake in his hand less appealing.

"I want a wish too."

Just as he suspected!

Qin Guanglin's eyebrow twitched, "That's fine, but you can't ask for anything too excessive. Absolutely not."

Although he didn't know what He Fang wanted, intuition told him the wish wouldn't be simple. Being cautious was wise.

"What do you an by excessive?" He Fang smirked, "Can you give an example?"

"Hmm..." Qin Guanglin thought about it but couldn't pinpoint anything, "You say it first, and I'll judge."

She leaned closer to Qin Guanglin, slightly lowering her voice, "Well then... every ti we et for the first ti each day, you have to kiss , and when we part, you have to kiss too."

"Ah?" Qin Guanglin didn't expect her to say that. Upon consideration, it didn't seem too excessive, given they were dating.

"...Alright." He looked at He Fang's lips, turned even rosier from eating, and felt a quiet delight in his heart.

This was her request, totally not because he was lustful.

"Then it's settled. It takes effect now, and the term is forever."
