Sean Lowell looked at his manager and very rarely responded swiftly, "Do we have sothing later?"
Sean’s question was filled with an air of everyday life.
Others might not catch it, but Gordon Sterling definitely understood the hidden aning behind his brother’s words.
"If you’ve got nothing, then neither do I," Gordon replied with a double entendre, concerned about how Sean planned to face Sumr Lowell if they t later.
Artie Vaughn shook his head smugly at Leo Vaughn, proudly assuming a victor’s deanor.
Without Artie saying a word, Leo already knew what his sister hadn’t voiced: ["You’re the one being ridiculous, everyone in our family except is being ridiculous."]
After her smugness, The Devilish Lolita blinked her eyes and looked at Gordon, her smile radiant:
"Universe’s top strear, Earth’s most handso agent, do you and Master Sean Lowell have no plans later?"
Gordon disliked being stared at like this, especially when he hadn’t fully gotten over his irritation with Artie.
Gordon wanted to cuss but couldn’t bring himself to do it.
After all, you don’t hit soone who’s smiling at you, especially one who’s complinted you on your looks.
What was more important was, among Gordon’s 340-pound body, not a single muscle, bone, or nerve cell wasn’t curious about the "astonishing and unparalleled delight" on Artie’s lips.
Even if Gordon stayed silent and didn’t respond, any gathering with Artie around couldn’t possibly grow cold: "So, is it okay for Artie to tell Sumr that you guys are going to co over for dinner?"
Gordon adjusted his expression to be as serious as possible and arrogantly replied with one word: "Yeah."
Unfortunately, due to Gordon’s ample facial flesh, no one but himself noticed the earnest effort he’d put into his expression.
Artie claiming to make decisions for Sumr Fairmont surely carried a hint of exaggeration. Sumr always held her own principles.
But Artie’s exaggeration was just a fraction. She could make decisions for Sumr 95% of the ti.
Sumr’s indulgence with Artie’s affection and attention was undeniable.
Sumr rarely stood her ground on issues.
Or rather, aside from striving for self-sufficiency and not relying on anyone’s wings, Sumr followed Artie in everything else.
Since she could rember, Sumr grew up under others’ roofs.
She grew up amidst panic, helplessness, and confusion.
Sumr adored Artie’s brilliance, yet only her personal growth could bring her security.
Having Artie invite friends over to mooch als wasn’t unusual. Artie’s assurance that Sumr would have no objections ant there were never any issues.
After a tour of Port Aelen Distillery, the group arrived.
Inside the restaurant, what caught the eye first wasn’t the Emperor crab dishes Artie had been raving about: stead Emperor crab, stir-fried Emperor crab, salt-and-pepper Emperor crab, and cheesy-baked Emperor crab. Instead, there was a raw Emperor crab that seed entirely unprocessed.
On the dining table were several small pots, the kind only seen during hot pot als—each person having their individual pot.
Each pot was filled with the water used to distill Islay whiskey—water from a local Islay lake.
No spices or seasonings were visible.
It was pure minimalist "local water," not even mineral water, just the most common kind.
Artie was both surprised and delighted at the sight of these small pots: "Ah, Sumr, you went late today but still managed to find an especially good Emperor crab?"
"Yesterday." Sumr replied in a language only Artie could understand.
"Ah, naughty Sumr, you finally confessed, huh? Sumr booked it yesterday and still pretended to be in a hurry. Sumr is really, really naughty." The Pouting Siren took the opportunity to tickle Sumr.
Sumr gently dodged, only to speak a word after: "Cook."
Sean obediently found a place to sit at the dining table.
Only Artie, with her inbuilt translation skills, understood Sumr was rushing back to cook the Emperor crab, which was why she couldn’t help but hurry before.
But, since Master Sean Lowell was seated, the ambassador girl who fancied him had to accompany him.
"Master Sean Lowell, listen to what Artie tells you, okay? My Sumr’s knife skills are truly super-duper amazing."
