The room was decorated like that of a bridal chamber, with bright red festoons adorning the walls. All the furniture was in its place, and two red candles were lit upon the dressing table; their flas flickered turbulently, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.
Gu Shuangshuang stood at the center of the room, dressed in a red coat, looking just like a bride on her wedding day.
Behind her stood a group of her family mbers, all dressed in their finest, as if ready to attend a wedding.
Tian Niu was stunned for a long ti before he managed to utter, "Shuangshuang, my wife, don’t tell you thought I was dead and are planning to remarry today?"
Gu Shuangshuang looked at him with a grievance-filled face, "Why, does marrying soone else have anything to do with you?"
"Of course, it does! You’re my wife! How could you marry soone else if I’m not dead?" Tian Niu charged in, shouting anxiously.
"But in my heart, you are as good as dead," Gu Shuangshuang said coldly, glancing at him before casually pulling Li Zhi, who was standing next to her, toward her, "If you had co back one step later, I would have married him."
"What did you say?" Tian Niu’s eyes bulged as he pointed at his own house and said, "This house was secured through my application with the military; it’s our ho."
"So what if it is? You were going to die, oblivious to everything," Gu Shuangshuang retorted.
The young soldier who had brought Tian Niu back was so frightened by the scene that he hardly dared to breathe.
The battalion commander’s wife is really terrifying, isn’t she? She’s ready to get married right after the commander dies!
He had never encountered such a woman before!
So, in his mind, he silently lit a candle for Battalion Commander Tian.

After Tian Niu spoke these words, the temperature in the air seed to plunge below freezing.
"Enough, Shuangshuang, stop fooling around! That’s enough," Gu Shuangshuang’s stepfather, Li Youjun, could not stand to watch any longer and stepped forward to persuade Gu Shuangshuang.
"I am not fooling around with him. Who is fooling around?" Gu Shuangshuang replied with a stern face, turning aside.
"Fooling around? What’s there to fool around about?" Tian Niu was still confused about what was happening before him.
Li Zhi pushed Gu Shuangshuang towards Tian Niu with a grin, "Okay, stop being silly. This woman was so eager to be with you before getting married, that she was willing to lose her life. Now why would she be in a hurry to remarry just because you were missing?"
"What... what is all this about?" Tian Niu looked at her, completely bewildered.
Gu Shuangshuang’s eyes widened as she stared at Tian Niu, and slowly, her eyes reddened and tears began to trickle down.
"Shuangshuang, my wife! Why... why are you crying?" Tian Niu was at a loss for words, "Please don’t cry. Speak to , what’s wrong?"
"You big fool!" Gu Shuangshuang threw herself into his arms, "You’ve finally co back. If you hadn’t, I would’ve been dead."
