Chapter 703: Stay Hopeful
When she heard this, Yu izi was sorely disappointed. Why had things changed?
She didn’t get a cheque; she didn’t even get any cash at all! The money was going to be on a tab at the hotel...
Through gritted teeth, Yu izi said, “But Tianya...”
Yu izi was about to say sothing when Ling Tianya cut her off quickly. “If you wish to go out with Tianxin, you can contact Da Yi. He will arrange for a car to pick you up. But I advise against it. You should just stay in the hotel suite with Tianxin. I don’t want you to end up here in the hospital too.”
Yu izi’s face was dark, and she was frowning deeply. What did this brat an? Was she cursing ? Did Ling Tianya hope that she would also be involved in a car accident?”
Ling Tianya knew exactly what Yu izi was thinking about. She was never going to give her any money. She could afford to of course, but she knew that the money wouldn’t be spent on Yu izi herself or Ling Tianxin. The money would end up with Zhang Chao and Zhang Zihao, and the last thing she wanted was for the two of them to score a free al ticket.
She sincerely ant what she had said at the end. No matter how Yu izi treated her, she was till her biological mother. As long as she was alive, Ling Tianya wouldn’t be a motherless child. It wasn’t a pleasant feeling waiting for possible news of death outside the ergency room.
Apparently, there was already an unbridgeable gap between Yu izi and Ling Tianya. She had completely misconstrued Ling Tianya’s intentions.
Since she had already made up her mind, Da Yi followed Ling Tianya’s command and sent Yu izi and Ling Tianxin to the hotel.
Ruan Zeyan sent off his subordinates as well and stayed behind to keep Ling Tianya company. They remained outside the operating theatre with Xiao Hong and Sister Zhang who was keeping Xiao Hong company.
The noisy corridor had beco silent all of a sudden. It was eerily quiet.
The minutes ticked by. It was major surgery, and Ling Tao had been under the knife for a long ti already.
Ruan Zeyan was worried that Ling Tianya would not be able to cope with the physical demands of camping outside the theater, but he knew that there was no chance that she was going to go ho and rest before they got any updates.
Ruan Zeyan had no choice but to offer his body as support, allowing Ling Tianya to rest her whole weight against him.
Xiao Hong, who was in equal tornt, teared up imdiately when she saw Ruan Zeyan hugging Ling Tianya. She knew that she needed to be strong and that she shouldn’t be crying. But her man was still in the operating theater and if anything happened to him, she would have lost her support for the rest of her life.
After a long and grueling wait, the lights of the operating theatre finally went off. Ling Tianya and Xiao Hong stood up imdiately and anxiously watched the doors.
The doors opened and the doctors marched out and reported to Ruan Zeyan and Ling Tianya, “Mr. Ruan, Young Mistress, we’re sending CEO Ling to the ICU. The operation can be considered a success. We have saved his life.”
When she heard the news that Ling Tao had survived the operation, Xiao Hong gave a sigh of relief, but Ruan Zeyan and Ling Tianya knew sothing was wrong when the doctor said that the operation was ‘considered’ successful.
The doctor’s tone changed suddenly. “However, his head suffered severe traumatic injuries during the collision, and he is in a deep coma now.”
Xiao Hong inhaled sharply when she heard this. “Is he going to wake up? When will he wake up?”
The doctor looked at her hesitatingly. “I don’t know for sure. CEO Ling was really on the brink of death. It will be a long and difficult process to wake him up again. All I can say is don’t give up hope yet. I’ve seen many patients who have woken up especially when their family wouldn’t give up on them. There’s still a chance of him regaining consciousness.”
