Chapter 697: Did You Do it on Purpose?
Yu izi arrived on the first bus of the day. It was only ten o’clock when she reached the Ling mansion.
The maid didn’t stop her at the gates this ti but let her in.
Yu izi walked into the Ling mansion with her luggage in hand. When she entered, only Xiao Hong was at ho. Even Ling Tianxin wasn’t around.
Yu izi looked at Xiao Hong who didn’t look too happy too see her. “Where’s Tianxin? Where’s Ling Tao?”
Xiao Hong was already feeling anxious and unsettled, and when she saw Yu izi, she felt even worse. “Tianxin has gone missing, and Tao has gone out to look for her.”
When she heard that, Yu izi lost control and shouted at Xiao Hong as she pointed a finger at her, “Is it you? You don’t want here, don’t you? What have you done to Tianxin? Did you lose her on purpose?”
Xiao Hong couldn’t be bothered to talk to Yu izi. She sat on the couch as she stared at the coffee table in front of her, her expression dull.
When Xiao Hong ignored her, Yu izi was even more infuriated, and she went forward to grab Xiao Hong from the sofa and slapped her across the cheek. “Tell ! Did you lose Tianxin on purpose? You shaless sl*t!”
Sister Zhang quickly stepped forward with the rest of the servants and pulled Yu izi away from Xiao Hong, effectively protecting her.
Yu izi knew Sister Zhang from when she was still the lady of the Ling household.
When she saw Sister Zhang protecting Xiao Hong, she said with sarcasm, “Zhang, good on you. Why didn’t you ever protect like this when I was still the missus of the household?”
Sister Zhang looked at Yu izi with disdain. She didn’t respect the lady at all. She was the reason why the Ling family was in chaos now. She detested Yu izi, and she spat at her, “Why would I protect a sl*t who cheated on her family?”
“You!” Yu izi shouted angrily as she glared at Sister Zhang. She was being humiliated in front of everyone. “You are just a butler of the Ling household. You are just a slave, a dog. You have no right to bark at like this!”
Sister Zhang’s expression changed. “Even if I’m a dog, I am the Ling family’s dog, properly and officially. Look at what you are! How dare you throw a fit here and assault Miss Ling?”
Yu izi was stunned for a while before insisting, “I am Ling Tianya’s mother!”
“Forget about that, you know best how you treat great missy. You hurt her so much. Do you expect her to treat you as her mother?”
Yu izi was flustered. It was true that her relationship with Ling Tianya had gone from bad to worse.
Xiao Hong didn’t wish to get into a scuffle with Yu izi. She felt uneasy, and her gut told her that sothing had gone wrong.
Just then, her phone rang.
Xiao Hong answered the call staight away, and when she heard what the person on the other end of the line had to say, she was frozen to her spot.
She let go of her phone, and she collapsed on the sofa, tears streaming down her face.
Sister Zhang was shocked and asked, “Madam, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?”
Xiao Hong was sobbing, and she was in a panic. “Tao has been in a car accident. He’s being resuscitated at the hospital now.”
When she heard that, Yu izi’s expression changed. She had just arrived, and Ling Tao had been hit by a car?
Xiao Hong couldn’t take it anymore. She asked Sister Zhang to prepare the car so she could go straight to the hospital.
As Xiao Hong was about to leave, Yu izi followed behind her quickly. “I’m coming along.”
Xiao Hong had no strength left to argue with her. She let her tag along.
