Mrs. Wales turned away without a second glance, her heels clicking against the cold floor as she made her way toward the door.

There was no hesitation in her steps, no flicker of doubt-just the certainty of a woman who believed she had won.

As soon as the door beca closed, the five n closed in.

Charles barely had ti to draw a breath before the first punch landed, snapping his head to the side.

A sharp kick to his ribs followed, forcing a strangled gasp from his lips.

"Arrgh!"

Blow after blow rained down on Charles, each strike more rciless than the last.

Charles vision blurred, his ears rang with the sickening sounds of fists eting flesh, and his body jerked like a rag doll beneath their relentless assault.

Charles wanted to fight back, to scream, to beg-but he couldn’t.

He was drowning in a sea of pain, and there was no one to save him.

"Arrgh... please... stop," Charles finally mumbled with tears rolling down from his eyes and more blood spilling out from his nose and mouth. "I... I am sorry... please,"

The more he pleaded with the n, the more the blows and kicks continued so aggressively.

Charles felt his life slipping away, each blow dragging him deeper into a pit of agony.

His body scread in pain, yet he was powerless to stop it.

The world around him blurred, flashes of his past flickering in his mind—his childhood, the struggles he had endured, the fleeting monts of happiness.

Was this how it would all end? Beaten, broken, discarded like he never mattered?

Charles breaths ca in ragged gasps, his chest heaving with the effort to stay conscious.

The pain was unbearable, but the fear was worse.

He was scared that this was his final mont. Scared that he would never see Augustine again. Scared that no one would even know what had happened to him.

Mrs. Wales barely had ti to step away from the closed door when Augustine suddenly stord towards her, his eyes widening in horror.

Augustine hands clenched into fists as he stare at his mother, his voice trembling with fury. "What the hell did you do, Mom?"

"I am helping you." She spat coldly.

Augustine scoffed, shoving her to the side as he rushed inside the room.

Mrs. Wales dusted off her sleeve, regaining her composure as she let out an unimpressed scoff, trailing after Augustine. "I’m doing what you should have done long ago-cleaning up your ss."

anwhile, imdiately Augustine gaze landed on Charles he beca immobile.

Charles was struggled to lift his head up from the ground and he was covered in pool of blood.

Seeing Charles like this sent a sharp pain through Augustine’s heart. He had never felt fear like this before—not for himself, but for soone else.

Augustine held his breath, his eyes filled with intense pain. "Let go of him this instant!" He demanded at the top of his lungs.

"Don’t!" Mrs wales commanded. "Make sure you kill Charles before letting him go," she ordered.

Augustine gasped in surprise, turning his gaze around to stare at his mother. He literally couldn’t believe his ears.

"Mom?" Augustine uttered, his voice laced with disbelief as he t her gaze, searching for any sign of remorse.

Mrs. Wales scoffed. "If you fail to kill Charles, then I’ll make sure you all end up dead," she spat coldly before stepping out and slamming the door behind her.

Mrs. Wales made sure the door was securely sealed, eliminating any possibility of escape for either Augustine or Charles.

As Mrs. Wales stalked away, her cruel mind whispered: "Augustine may hate now, but he will thank later for getting rid of that useless boy."

Deep down, she believe that she was doing Augustine a favor by eliminating the source of his affections.

Staring at the closed door, a sharp sting pierced Augustine’s heart. His clenched fists beca tighter, biting his lower lip in rage while torn between shock and anger at his mother’s actions.

"Argh!" Charles scread, the beating from the n continued, leaving more injuries on his body.

"Please... please you all should let him go and hit instead." Augustine pleaded, his words quivering after each other.

He noticed that the n were all huge and muscular, their ripped chests and broad shoulders exuding sheer strength.

All Augustine could do was plead, hoping for rcy.

But his words fell on deaf ears. They continued their assault, acting as if he hadn’t spoken at all.

Pfft!

"Argh!" Charles scread as the relentless blows continued, deepening his wounds.

"Please... please, let him go and hit instead," Augustine pleaded, his voice trembling with desperation.

"Hey! Don’t make us hurt you," one of the n threatened with a cold voice.

Augustine’s jaw tightened, his rage boiling over as he closed the distance between them.

Without hesitation, he swung his fist, landing a brutal punch on the man who had just spoken.

The crack of impact echoed through the room, but before Augustine could steady himself, the rest of the n turned on him.

Fists and kicks ca at him from all directions, but he fought back with everything he had.

Pain seared through his body with each blow, yet the only thing on his mind was Charles-beaten, broken, and barely holding on.

The man Augustine had thrown his first blow at quickly scrambled to his feet, joining his companions in the assault.

The room echoed with the brutal sounds of fists colliding with flesh, heavy grunts, and the sickening thud of bodies hitting the floor.

Augustine fought with everything in him, but he was outnumbered.

Four n, each stronger and more ruthless, rained blows on him from every angle.

No matter how hard Augustine swung, how fast he moved, he couldn’t keep up.

Pain shot through his ribs, his jaw ached from a solid hit, and his vision blurred from the relentless assault.

But even as his body scread in agony, his mind was fixed on only one thing— Charles.

One of the n sealed the neck of Augustine, intensely lifting him up from the floor.

Augustine gasped for air, struggling against the man’s iron grip, but no matter how hard he fought, the hold only tightened.

His vision blurred, his strength fading as the man choked the life out of him.

But then... the entrance door fell open with a loud thud!

’Who could it be?’
