Aubrey’s attention was completely absorbed by the glowing screen of her phone which lays above her left hand, while her left hand was wrapped around a comfortingly warm cup of coffee. Lost in thought, she drifted along the sidewalk, oblivious to her surroundings.

Suddenly, a jarring thud snapped her back to reality.

Glancing up, she realized she’d collided with a young man equally as distracted as herself.

Coffee sloshed over the rim of her cup, making her blue flowery shirt to beco stained.

Aubrey wore a blue shirt with a deep V-neck, subtly revealing part of her chest.

Her blonde hair was swept up in a sleek, chic ponytail, the graceful length of her neck on full display, drawing attention to her elegant features.

Below, she wore a black bodycon skirt that hugged her figure, the hemline falling short enough to expose her thighs.

The final touch to Aubrey’s ensemble were a pair of black heels, adding a dangerous edge to her already tall figure.

"Argh!" Aubrey yelled in rage, the cup of coffee spilling all over her entire shirt.

"Sorry... I am so sorry," Charles blurted out, his voice laced with urgency as he quickly apologized for the unexpected collision.

Freda, standing beside him, lowered her head toward the floor, her expression filled with sincerity. "We’re truly sorry, Miss Aubrey. It wasn’t our intention to bump into you," she added, her tone equally apologetic.

Aubrey scoffed, her gaze dropping to the stain now seeping into her shirt.

Within seconds, her eyes snapped back to the two cleaners standing before her.

Her gaze was ice-cold, burning with silent fury.

Without a second thought, she lifted her hand and flung the cup of coffee straight into Charles’s face."What the heck, you freak!" she exclaid, her shoulders rising and falling with barely contained rage. "You should watch where you’re going!" Aubrey barked, her anger sharpening her words.

Stunned...

The entire workers of the designer’s departnt all averted their gaze over to the scene that was unfolding in front of them.

"You didn’t have to throw coffee at him!" Freda protested, stepping forward to defend her friend. "It was an accident, Charles didn’t an to collide with you!"

Freda attempted to diffuse the tension and her tone sounded pleading while her gaze darted from Aubrey to Charles and back. "This is getting out of hand," Freda added with a warm and caring voice.

’Did she just talk back at Aubrey?’

’What is going on?’

’Gush! That cleaner is going to be in so much trouble.’

’Why are they here in the first place?’

The murmuring words from the fellow workers could be heard, as they all stared at Charles and Freda with questionable gaze.

Charles, dazed and dripping with coffee, remained rooted in place as if frozen in ti, his eyes wide with disbelief.

For several seconds, he stood motionless, a perplexed expression etched on his face as he tried to comprehend Aubrey’s extre reaction.

"What the hell did you just say to , you filthy cleaner?" Aubrey inquired with arched brows.

Her voice was as cold as the deepest depths of winter, conveying that she was extrely upset.

Aubrey took a step closer to Freda, her eyes narrowing with disdain. "Did you just try to defend your pathetic self?" she sneered, tilting her head as if the very thought amused her. "Don’t you dare speak to again," she warned.

Freda gulped down a mouthful of saliva as she rolled her eyes at Aubrey.

Her hands clenched into fists by her sides as she glared at Aubrey, her voice laced with frustration. "It was an accident," Freda retorted, her voice shaking slightly but her posture bold and unyielding. "You both bumped into each other, so why the hell are you making such a big deal out of it?"

Freda breath hitched, but she refused to back down. "Besides, we already apologized—it wasn’t intentional. Or what more do you want from us?"

The voice of Freda wavered between anger and disbelief, her eyes burning with the weight of years spent enduring treatnt like this.

Working as a cleaner in one of the largest firms in all of Country H had exposed Freda to countless experiences—many of them unpleasant.

She had been treated like garbage by employees who saw her as nothing more than a re cleaner and soone unworthy of respect.

Well, today, Freda wasn’t going to let anyone oppress her.

Besides, Freda had heard rumors about CEO Augustine and Aubrey’s long-standing friendship, dating back to their childhood.

From everything she had gathered, one thing was clear—Aubrey was a self-centered woman who see anyone beneath her as nothing more than trash.

And now, standing before Aubrey, watching her condescending glare, Freda realized just how true those rumors were.

Presently, Aubrey gasped, placing her hands over her mouth in astonishnt. "Did... did you just speak back at ?" She questioned Freda in complete disbelief.

Freda rolled her eyes once more before grabbing Charles’s wrist. "Co on, let’s go," she said firmly.

Charles stumbled a step, his hand still clutching the cleaning supplies.

He cast one final glance over his shoulder at Aubrey and just like soone who was compelled, Charles allowed himself to be pulled.

"Not so fast you insignificant bitch." Aubrey yelled at the top of her lungs as she hastened her steps over to the presence of a male worker who was drinking a bottle of water.

She snatched the bottle of water from his grip and, in an instant, rushed over to Charles and Freda.

Without hesitation, she uncapped the bottle and flung the contents, drenching Freda and Charles in a cold, unexpected shower.

’Silence...’

The cold water clung to their clothes, sticking to their skin.

For a mont, only the soft droplet of water on the floor broke the sudden stillness.

Then, as Freda and Charles turned to face Aubrey, the atmosphere shifted from shock to pure, seething rage.

Charles bared his teeth in a snarl, every muscle in his body tensing as he prepared to unleash the full force of his anger.
