Surviving the Apocalypse While Being Tempted by an Elf and a Dark Elf Chapter 328: Restart (7)
Although Luke used all his might and several skills to pierce the neck, he didn’t have enough ti to make Concentrated Strike buff his strength. As such, it only pierced a bit, and the wound was as deep as the tip of his index finger. The overlord swung his club toward the side, but Luke used Checkpoint and escaped. While the enemy was looking for him, Luke saw the wound closing in a matter of seconds... That was quite scary, considering that it didn’t even leave a scar...
Luke will have to go for the eyes since it was probably the most defenseless area and then keep attacking there before the troll could heal itself. While Luke was thinking about that, the ice below him began to move and tried to grab his leg as if it was a hand... Luke jumped and landed behind, but the ice below him began to move in the sa manner. Fortunately, the troll wasn’t attacking. Otherwise, things probably would get ssy. Still, the troll was the one who was making the ice act like that, so it was a given.
While dodging those attacks from below, Luke began to charge Concentrated Strike. Still, then the troll suddenly stopped using those attacks. He either had good eyes or senses to have noticed that Luke was planning to keep on moving away to buy ti. Once again, Luke dodged the large swing of the club, but then the overlord charged, turned around, and swung his hamr toward Luke... even though he was dozens of ters away. A blast of cold wind was sent flying toward Luke, and before he could move away, it hit him... Freezing his arms and legs.
"I guess that club is a magic weapon... Not just a piece of a massive block of ice..." Luke thought.
Luke seed pretty unfazed, even though he couldn’t move, and the enemy dashed at him. When the overlord got close enough, Luke used Lightning and hit the enemy in full. The first strike completely paralyzed the overlord, and the heat lted a little of the ice in the area. Luke also felt his limbs getting a bit warr. So, he used the spell again and again. Eventually, he freed himself, but the enemy also recovered from the damage he had caused.
"I guess my magic power is way lower than his Resistance..." Luke thought and then grabbed one of the spears he had bought. "Whatever, I don’t have ti for this shit."
Before the enemy could do anything else, Luke’s spear broke when he used Weapon Augntation. In the next mont, a massive beam of solar energy fell from the sky and bit the overlord. The area around him began to lt, and the temperature even made Luke move away while covering his eyes. Surpassing a difficult ordeal while relying on his witts alone was good and all, but to free his family and friends from the clutches of the enemy... He would use everything in his power to do so. His pride won’t stop him from achieving what he wanted, not anymore...
When the first solar spear stopped, the troll’s body had been burned quite a lot, to the point where he fell on his knees, almost unconscious. Still, Luke continued and used another spear, and then another massive beam of solar light bit the enemy. This ti, the attack burned up to the bones.

The creature gave so extra experience and gold coins, but the overlords also left his ice club behind. It was a pity that it was too big, but Luke could try to use it in so situations. It was better to have it than not have it.

Luke couldn’t even hold the club with a single hand, but carrying wasn’t a problem. Regardless, it was ti to check the flying fortress. Luke had left the death knights hidden in case of ergency, but it seed that he overestimated his opponent. In any case, much to his surprise, Luke found quite the armory nearby the main building. There were many weapons, armor, and accessories, and they were all above tier fifteen... So, all of them cost eight hundred thousand gold coins in the shop. While Luke could only sell those for a fraction of the price, he still will make a killing... Also, loot wasn’t the only thing he found there. He found a pile of shining green ores. He couldn’t identify it, but Luke was certain that it was magic resources...
"There is quite a bit... Where did he find this?" Luke rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Considering that he didn’t turn this into equipnt, he got pretty recently... Or he didn’t have the skills to try to make anything with it."
Luke sold the things that he didn’t want and brought the others to his fortress alongside with the magic ores. For the first ti in a while, he felt like sothing good had happened. Hopefully, those ores will turn into sothing that will help him reach his goals. Once the clean-up was done, Luke destroyed the red crystal. After that, he began to hunt the snow wolves in the area and turned them into skeletons, and then sent them to his fortress.
"The next chance to upgrade Necromancy will take a while... Unless I get tens of thousands of Skeletons and make them fight all the ti," Luke thought. "There are many places in my ho country where the monsters are running wild... I suppose I can leave the skeletons there since their levels are above them."
The temperature began to drop, and the storm lost strength after a couple of hours, and then Luke began to move south.
