"Why not? They trade many useful things." Lucian beca more serious and said, "Besides, it would be a disaster if we suddenly stopped cooperating.

It was difficult to find water supplies in the Apocalypse, so the alliances would go feral as soon as no one sent water supplies to their base anymore.

Furthermore, they would definetely kill each other to take over the Red Canyon’s spring. Instead of letting more people die, it would be better if Lucian took over the Stormclad business.

"So we have to move here to run the base, right?" asked deia to clarify the situation.

Lucian looked hesitant. "Yes. But if you feel uncomfortable, you don’t have to move here."

"And let you handle it by yourself? No, we promise to fix the world together, so you’ll stick with forever." She continued, "Besides, I think this place is perfect to live in."

The village was a good place to live because it had an established infrastructure, but the villagers couldn’t survive for long if the village didn’t have natural resources like water.

If deia hadn’t been able to summon water, many of them would have died in the sumr.

All this ti, the villagers couldn’t move around because the elders couldn’t walk that far, but now they could use the cars to move the elders out of the village.

"When do we have to send water supplies to other alliances?" asked deia to Matilda.

"They just sent it yesterday, so we have to send more water supplies next week."

deia nodded. "Alright. I think we can make it." She shifted her gaze to the other won, who were waiting anxiously for Matilda. "You need to talk to them about this."

"Can’t you do that?"

"Nope." deia quickly pulled Lucian’s hand to get away from the problem. "We have sothing to do, so you better convince them before dinner."

Matilda, "But wouldn’t it be nice if they heard from soone with experience—hey, wait!"

deia walked faster, almost running because she didn’t want to talk about sothing that would upset a bunch of angry pregnant won. "Hurry, Lucian. Don’t let them catch us."

"Where are we going?" Lucian was confused by her behavior, but followed her anyway.

"Hunting the treasures."

Lucian and Jas had destroyed a lot of things in their battle, including most of the building. But miraculously, they hadn’t destroyed the most important place in the entire base.

Jas’ bedroom.

No, deia wasn’t trying to find sex toys or other unholy things in his bedroom, which she knew he must have kept sowhere.

She just wanted to look for dicinal herbs. "Matilda said he took dicine every week, so I guess he would keep a lot of herbs in his room."

At first, deia didn’t know what kind of illness Jas had, but after seeing his poor physical condition, she finally understood why he needed dicine every week.

He was able to escape from Lucian a long ti ago, but at what cost?

"I found it." Lucian opened a wooden chest filled with many dicinal herbs. "But most of them are dry. They can be used as dicine, but we can’t plant dry herbs."

[New Mission Unlocked: Persuade the Villagers to Move Out]

Great.

Now the system had forced her to have a complicated conversation with the villagers.

Although she had perfect reasons why they should leave the village, so people might not agree with her.

They had lived there for many years, so it would be hard for them to transmigrate to a new place.

Perhaps she could ask Lucian to persuade them on her behalf.

[Host will not receive the rewards if another person persuades them.]

So stingy!

She groaned in her heart, then knelt before the wooden chest and looked at the bundles of dried herbs. So were neatly tied with string, while others spilled loosely.

She took a familiar plant. "Isn’t it the plant you used to heal my wounds? What is its na? Duskroe ... Dusk sothing?"

Lucian chuckled. "It’s Duskroot. It’s really useful for healing all kinds of wounds, even if it feels horrible when you put it on your wounds."

He looked at other plants and then picked up a dry flower. "This flower is actually not a dicine, but it is safe to eat."

He suddenly threw the dry petal into his mouth, causing deia to almost put her fingers in his mouth. "Are you crazy?! What if it’s poisonous?"

"It is not. The dry Sugar flower can be eaten for up to a year."

deia frowned. "Sugar flower?"

Lucian nodded and brought a piece of petal to her mouth. "It tastes as sweet as candy. Co on, I know you’ll like it." deia seed hesitant, but she opened her mouth anyway and let Lucian feed her.

She wrinkled her forehead, but as the sweetness spread in her mouth, a smile appeared on her face. "It’s really sweet!"

It was sweeter than sugar!

"Why don’t people collect these flowers?" She said, "People will go crazy for the taste, right?"

Lucian peeled the petals one by one, then crushed them into pieces. "That’s because the flowers only grow near beehives." He handed the crushed petals to deia. "Here you go. Eat it slowly, so you can save it for weeks."

After the mutation, the bees grew to the size of a man’s head, and their sting could kill soone in a second.

Therefore, no one was willing to get the Sugar flowers unless they had an ability like Redbeard.

"What a pity." deia sighed and put the crushed flower into a pouch.

After exploring the room twice and finding nothing important, except for a set of unholy toys deia found under the bed.

She wanted to take a closer look to the toys, but imdiately kicked the box under the bed when Lucian asked to see what she had found.

"It’s nothing." She shifted her eyes to the window, looking at the darkened sky. "I think it’s ti for dinner. Do you want to get so canned foods from the cellar?"

"Okay."

Fortunately, the basent remained solid, even though the building above it was about to collapse. Lucian grabbed a box of canned food and brought it outside.

"Can you guarantee I’ll live safely if I stay here?" deia heard Tilly’s voice from outside.

It looked like Matilda still hadn’t convinced everyone to stay in the base.

What a nuisance.

"I can’t guarantee anything, but at least it’s better than wandering around without knowing where to go," Matilda said.

Sharon, who was trying to calm her crying baby, said, "I don’t want to live here anymore, no ... I really can’t."

The situation beca more chaotic, so deia tried to get their attention by clapping her hands once. "All right, that’s enough, ladies."

"Just so we’re clear, no one is forcing you to stay. If you want to leave, just go." deia said, "I’ll let you take so of the cars and give you food supplies for a few weeks."

Sharon looked at her in disbelief. "Really?"

"Yes, the truth is you can take whatever you want from here."

"This isn’t a scam, is it?" asked Tilly.

"Oh, of course not, darling. But, if I may suggest, you only need half a day’s supply of food."

She pretended to be surprised by her own words, "But why? Oh, I know! That’s because you can’t stay alive more than a day on your own!"

Her voice beca more dramatic. "Monsters? The Lost? Oh, who cares about them, right?"

Tilly was about to open her mouth, but deia imdiately said, "Well, the decision is still in your hands anyway."

She put the box of food on the ground and took two of the cans. "If you want to ask for more advice, Lucian and I will camp near the spring."

The won hadn’t even said anything yet, but deia was already walking away. She whispered to Lucian, "Faster, Lucian! Don’t let hear their angry yells!"
