deia was offended by Tilly’s words. "Excuse , the man you are talking about is my future husband," she pointed her finger at Tilly. "And don’t you dare compare Lucian to the rotten n in this base."

Tilly wanted to say sothing, but she decided to keep her mouth shut, because deia didn’t seem to be soone to ss with.

"Tilly! Please, help Sharon!" Penelope begged her.

Sharon, the woman in labor, nearly fainted because she couldn’t stand the pain of the contractions. Her lips turned blue as her body grew cold. "I can’t ... I can’t do this ...."

Another woman who beca an impromptu midwife, Jeanne, encouraged her, "Of course you can, Sharon. We promise to go back to our hotown together, rember?"

deia watched her labor in silence, wondering why so many people considered it the beauty of nature when all she saw was misery and pain.

"Hold my hand, Sharon." Tilly sat beside her and held Sharon’s right hand. A faint greenish light seed to pass from Tilly’s hand to Sharon’s. Her ability quietly took effect, easing Sharon’s severe pain.

"You said you would leave here." Sharon’s tense body began to relax. The panic in her eyes faded to sothing closer to relief. "I don’t bla you ... Tilly, you always told you liked the sun, but you’ve lived here for three years."

"I’d be really ... really happy if you could see the sunlight again, Tilly."

Tilly held Sharon’s hand more tightly. "It was just a silly thought of mine. You know I always say nasty things when I’m under pressure, but I’ve never followed those bad thoughts."

In the end, Tilly didn’t leave Sharon and decided to sit next to her.

The pain in Sharon’s body had eased, but it didn’t change the fact that her body wasn’t strong enough to deliver the baby. Penelope exchanged glances with Matilda and asked her permission to let Sharon drink the dicine from deia.

"My dicine can help her," deia whispered to Matilda. "Your hesitation could kill soone, darling."

Matilda held her breath for a mont and clenched her fist. She didn’t want to believe deia so easily, but she had no choice but to rely on the dicine.

"Penelope, let Sharon drink the dicine," Matilda said.

Penelope did as she was told. The vial contained only a few drops of dicine, but it was enough to boost Sharon’s strength and health.

Sharon gritted her teeth and tried to push her baby as hard as she could. After a while, a sharp cry ripped through the room.

Jeanne gently picked up the tiny, wiggling form. "It’s a girl," she said, her voice soft but filled with joy. "The first baby girl that will live with her mother."

What did she an?

When deia looked around again, she finally realized that there was not a single child in the bunker, even though she was sure that the won had given birth several tis.

So where did they go?

Before she asked that question, Matilda had already given her a brief explanation. "The Stormclad have always sell our babies to other alliances or even military bases."

In return, they would give the Stormclad a lot of food supplies and weapons.

The reason Jas captured so many won was not only to marry them, but also to use them as baby machines.

A truly disgusting man.

Boom!

The bunker suddenly shook as they heard a loud noise outside. deia could also hear Bear barking above the bunker, as if he was telling deia to get out imdiately.

"I think we have to get out now." deia said, "I don’t think this bunker can withstand their abilities any longer."

deia couldn’t imagine how damaged the Red Canyon was after Lucian and Jas fought for so long. But deia was certain Lucian had beaten Jas to a pulp by now.

"But where will we go after we leave?" Penelope looked hesitant. "The Stormclad will definitely catch us again if we don’t manage to find cars to escape."

deia, "Don’t worry about that. I doubt the Stormclad’s hunters have the energy left to chase after you."

They were afraid to co out, but they would be buried alive if they stayed in the bunker. deia gave Sharon a Grade-A healing potion to get her back on her feet.

After gathering their belongings, Matilda led them to the door of the bunker. All this ti, the bunker door was always locked tightly by the hunters, and only opened when they wanted to play with the won in bed.

However, Matilda managed to steal the key when deia killed the hunters on the first floor. Therefore, the door was unlocked when deia entered the bunker.

"Just knock on the door, my wolf will open it for you," deia said.

Matilda frowned, wondering how a wolf could open a heavy tal door. But once the door opened, she almost fell down the stairs, because the wolf was as big as a car.

"Don’t be afraid, he’s a good boy." deia waved her hand at Bear. "Help us out of here, Bear!"

The wolf howled in response. He let the won hold onto his head so they could climb out more easily. All of them, without exception, took a deep breath as soon as they could inhale the fresh air.

For a mont, their eyes adjusted to the natural light after so long in the dim underground.

Tilly closed her eyes and raised her hands as if to touch the warm sunlight. Her eyes filled with tears as she could finally see the blue sky with her own eyes.

"Am I dreaming?" so of the won were crying and laughing at the sa ti. They pinched each other’s arms to make sure they really had co out of the pit of hell.

"You’re not dreaming, ladies." deia paused for a mont as she saw the pure joy on their faces. "This is reality."

Suddenly, deia felt sothing tighten in her chest as she witnessed a bundle of happiness. In her life as Demon Queen, she had beco an expert at reading human expressions; fear, pain, despair.

All of those faces had been imprinted on her mind, the emotions that fueled her reign in the depths of Hell. But joy? That kind of emotion was new to her.

It was unsettling, but strangely ... warm and beautiful.
