There was a ti when deia wondered why she had to wait for humans to die before she could punish them for their sins.
In Hell, humans tended to feel vulnerable and weak in the face of demons, so they didn’t dare act arrogant and powerful. However, that made the punishnt less fun for her.
She wanted to punish humans while they were acting arrogant and thinking they were superior to others. deia wanted to punish people who did evil things in the world without fear of any consequences.
Humans used to call demons evil creatures, but so of them were worse than the demons themselves.
"Fuck! What happened here?!" The three guards who decided to check out the first floor were shaken as they opened the door.
The sight that greeted them sent chills down their spines. Bodies were scattered on the floor, lifeless and cold. It looked as if they had killed each other with their own weapons. Blood pooled around them, seeping into the cold floor.
But in the corner of the room, they saw a lone survivor. Wearing a white veil on her head, she was shivering and sobbing softly.
"P-please," she stamred, her voice barely audible over the sound of her labored breathing. "I ... I don’t know what happened. I think there’s a monster in here."
One of the guards cursed. "How the hell is she still alive?"
The other narrowed his eyes, observing deia’s bloodied face and body. But it wasn’t enough to hide her beauty. "Isn’t she the good stuff Eddie brought?"
"Shit, you’re right!" he said, "How about we report her as dead and taken by a monster? We can keep her to ourselves."
"Yeah! We can do that! Leader already has so many beautiful wives anyway."
Crash!
deia chopped off the hand of a man who tried to touch her with an abyssal sword she had hidden behind her back. The veil on her head fell, revealing two red horns that instantly made it clear to the n that she was not a human.
"Arrghhh! Who the hell are you?" the man scread in agony as blood gushed from his severed arm.
deia let out a forlorn sigh, but it was nothing more than mockery. "I gave you a chance to live by giving you the choice to help a scared and fragile woman, but you blew it," sharp nails erged from her fingers. "Now I have no choice but to kill you."
They could sense that a woman in front of them was dangerous, so they decided to run, but deia was faster than them. She climbed onto one of the n’s backs and slit his throat.
Before he drew his last breath, she took his soul and ate it.
[You have killed an evildoer: 120 XP, 25 coins].
[You have harvested a soul: 70 XP, 15 coins].
The others trembled in fear as they watched the bloody scene. They wanted to run away, but their legs suddenly turned soft.
[Skill ti remaining: 00:00:45].
deia didn’t waste much more ti and killed them in the quickest way.
She ripped out their hearts with her bare hands, then dumped their bodies after harvesting their souls.
[Calculating the total kill ...]

Two silver rings fell onto deia’s palm. The rings looked simple, but the blue gems shimred like stars.
"Do you think Lucian will want to wear a matching ring with ?" deia asked the system.
[The system cannot predict human emotion].
deia rolled her eyes. "At least humor ."
She stored the rings in her inventory and couldn’t wait to show them to Lucian.
[Demonic Strength Deactivated]
[Cooldown: 07:00:00]
deia imdiately lost her strength and fell to the ground. She shivered in pain as the red horns entered her head again.
She gritted her teeth, annoyed that every ti she activated the skill, she had to endure the sa level of pain as when it was deactivated.
The system was truly cruel to her.
"There must be sothing wrong with this place!"
deia heard a group of people approaching the first floor. The scream must have made them suspicious, especially since the people on the first floor didn’t co out for a long ti.
But before they reached the first floor, a booming sound rang through the red canyon.
"Soone has broken the gate!" the guard shouted, "Every man on the base go to the gate imdiately! I repeat, every man on the base goes to the gate imdiately!"
"This is not a drill! The danger level is above Grade-S!"
The sounds of footsteps drifted away from the first floor, even the people from the upper floors ca down quickly.
The staircase was outside, so they didn’t run into deia, but they must have slled the scent of blood from the room.
"Hey, I think sothing’s wrong with the people in firstfloor!"
"The base has been attacked by monsters! They might have been killed by monsters first!"
"Co on, let’s go to the gate now!"
deia went to the front door. When everyone had reached the main gate, deia slowly opened the door.
She peered through the crack in the door and was surprised by the sight before her.
The one breaking down the gate wasn’t a monster, but a man.
He entered the Stormclad base alone with a wolf, carrying Redbeard’s severed head in one hand.
"Where is she?" He threw Redbeard’s head in front of the Stormclad.
"Fuck! It’s Redbeard! He fucking killed him!"
"How the hell did he do that?"
Redbeard was one of the Stormclad’s best hunters, so no wonder they couldn’t believe anyone could kill him.
They raised their weapons against the golden-haired man. "Who the hell are you?!"
Lucian began to lose his patience. Bear growled beside him, ready to attack anyone who ca near its master.
They had only been separated from deia for a few hours, but their personalities had changed drastically in that short ti.
He was hot, so damn hot that deia suddenly felt like jumping into the ice lake to cool her body.
"I ask you, where is she?"
They didn’t answer his question, but they were too caught up in Redbeard’s death.
The only thing they wanted to do right then and there was to kill him.
But, attacking Lucian blatantly was a foolish move.
Lucian didn’t raise any of his fingers, but all the weapons suddenly flew into the sky and shattered into thousands of pieces.
[Ding! Ding! The system has detected one of Lucian’s abilities]
