[Once soone wears the amulet, it can’t be used by others.]

An amulet was for one person. That way, no one could steal it and pretend to be a mber of the Red Star Alliance.

That item was incredibly useful, it could even increase other people’s combat abilities and their mutant abilities! With it, deia could teach most of the people in her base how to fight.

Furthermore, the amulet could be the symbol of the Red Star Alliance in the future.

[New Mission: Teach Combat Skills to More Than 10 mbers of Red Star Alliance.]

[New Romance Quest: Find Out Lucian’s Forr Occupation Without Asking Him or His Family (Grade-A)]

[Ti-Limited: 14 days]

What the hell was that quest?

How could deia know about his past if she didn’t even ask?

Furthermore, the system only marked it as a Grade-A quest, despite the high difficulty.

[It’s not that hard to find his forr occupation, Host. You just have to explore the old city a little bit.]

Explore a little bit my ass.

deia groaned within her heart, but didn’t think about it further.

[Do you want to take one amulet from the inventory and give it to Joy, Host?]

’Yes,’ said deia without thinking further.

She put her hand in her pocket and felt sothing suddenly appear. deia pulled out a silver chain bracelet with a pendant in the shape of a red star.

"Here," deia said, holding the amulet out to her, "I want to make a token for our base and be grateful that you’re the first person to have it."

Joy gently took it from deia’s hand, then looked at it for a while. "It looks beautiful," Joy whispered.

She was right. The amulet was beautiful, even deia hadn’t expected it to be so striking.

"You must take care of it," deia warned. "If you lose it, I won’t give you another one."

Joy nodded, clutching the amulet tightly. "I won’t lose it. I promise."

deia also gave the amulets to other young doctors and to Sister Jeanne. She wanted to give the amulets to more people, but she thought it would be better to give them during a eting.

They hadn’t had a eting since they moved to Red Canyon, and deia was thinking about having one soon to distribute the remaining amulets and talk about other important things such as division of labor.

deia then asked Harry to inform the people at the base that she wanted to hold a eting tomorrow night. After exploring the rest of the base, deia went to her quarters.

She took off her shoes and coat before climbing onto the bed and wrapping her arms around Lucian from behind. He slept soundly, his chest rising and falling with each even breath.

Lucian stirred slightly at the touch but didn’t wake up. deia smiled softly, kissing his cheek and neck before resting her head on his back.

She closed her eyes and let herself drift off to sleep. All the weight of the day vanished as soon as she hugged Lucian.

How nice to have a boyfriend.

"Co on, you said you wanted to learn how to drive," Lucian kept reminding her over and over again.

deia sat in the driver’s seat, gripping the wheel tightly. Her hands were a little too stiff, her knuckles pale as she tried to move the gear stick. "You know what? Maybe I can learn later."

deia was about to open the door, but Lucian locked it. "No." He chuckled. "You seed so confident that you could drive the car in five minutes. I don’t want you to give up so easily now."

Lucian had been teaching deia to drive since the morning, but the only thing she could do was shift the gear.

Whenever she started the engine, she panicked and imdiately turned off the car. She hadn’t driven the car more than two feet since she’d been in the driver’s seat.

"I never said I could learn in five minutes!" deia frowned. "This is harder than it looks! And why can the car move even if I don’t step on the gas pedal?"

The concept of the car was ridiculous to her. How could sothing that required so many steps to work feel so ... complicated?

Besides, how was deia supposed to rember the steps to shift gears when her eyes were focused on the road?!

"I don’t want to learn anymore!" deia protested.

Lucian chuckled, obviously enjoying her frustration. "It’s because the car is in idle mode. If you take your foot off the brake, the car will move slowly. You have to press the gas pedal to accelerate."

deia groaned. "That’s going to take forever." She adjusted her grip on the wheel and sighed. "What if I hit sothing?"

"You’ll be fine." Lucian said, "That’s why we learn on the empty ground, my love."

deia pouted when she heard him call her "my love". Her anger slowly faded and her voice softened. She murmured, "You make it sound so easy."

She grumbled but decided to give it another try. She carefully adjusted her grip on the wheel and took a deep breath. "Okay, here goes nothing."

Lucian, sensing her frustration, smiled reassuringly. "You’ve got this. Just take it one step at a ti."

deia bit her lip and focused on the road ahead as she gently pressed the accelerator. The car lurched forward, but she quickly regained control. It wasn’t perfect, but it was progress.

Lucian couldn’t help but chuckle. "See? You’re doing better already, my love."

deia accidentally pressed the accelerator too hard and the jeep lurched forward with surprising speed. Before the car crashed into the boulder ahead, Lucian stopped it with his ability.

"Stop calling that!" deia turned to him, her face flushed. "It’s hard to concentrate when you make my heart race!"

Lucian took her hand from the wheel and kissed it gently. His erald eyes looked up at her. "So what do I call you? Honey? Sweetheart? Or ... maybe sothing more special like My Princess?"

"Enough! Stop! Stop calling anything!" deia’s heart nearly exploded because of him. "And I’m not a princess!"
